  1. I love news!

I’ve been hitting the gym pretty hard (for an elder.) It’s just gotten cool here, so very nice! My husband is retiring 11/15 so we will be able to do things during the week when it isn’t so crowded.

I should be getting back on my bike soon. I’m confident.

My book club is meeting tomorrow. My former one fell apart during the pandemic so I started another one and we just got a new member! I think I might join the one at my library too.

Are you reading anything? Any time?

We need to get active in the SCA again. So much to do and learn.

  2. My friend Warren Gold died in 2017. He was like my 2nd father, actually way better than the first. I would pick him up to go to Temple & he was always full of good advice when I needed it.

Tom Simonian died of COVID on 10/31 two years ago. I have so many fun memories of the times we spent together. I would go to the cemetery  and cry but more often than not, now I think of all of the good memories I have that can never be taken away. He was like a brother.

Jody Smith died in 2022 at age 62. She was a fabulous friend and we had so much fun when I lived in her city. I couldn’t believe that she died. She was a great community and church member. I always thought we would have more time.

Been reading the books ever since I discovered the 3rd book in '96 as a wee kid of 8 years old. And I was hooked and got every book released and even begged my aunts and uncles to give each new book to me as birthday/Christmas gifts.

Sadly, I had to leave the books behind when I migrated to another country. Somehow, my mother donated them to her pastor's booksale fundraiser and found out too late. I still hurt thinking about it. Buying the ebooks and latest releases just don't have the same feel. Oh well.

Been a lurker to this site since 2013. Happy to see the TV series has sparked the interest of people and seeing new fans!

PS, yes I'm gay and would like to be the gae'sedai hahaha

Come to the Tower to become an Aes Sedai!

I bought some of my books at thrift stores and used book stores.

  4. Hi! I’m back! I had some health struggles this past summer. We finally figured out that a medication was really making me feel horrible not an illness.

I feel much-much better. I’m working on things around the house, going to the gym, swimming in my pool and loving on my doggies. I got a library card and am continuing with my book club.

I found a fantastic book at a used book store in Kentucky. It’s called “The Woman in the Woods” by John Connolly. It was fabulous and then I found out it belongs to a series with about 20 books (I’m burning through them now) with a new one to come out. Crime thriller, mystery and a touch of the paranormal.

My youngest son is back with us temporarily. The home he was sharing with his roommates was sold and they moved to Texas. His fiancé graduated college and is now doing her clinical rotations to become a licensed dietician. Once she’s finished in a few months, she’ll get a job and then they will get a place. He also took his roommates dog (who I love) so new we have four!

  5. I haven’t gone to any of my high school reunions.

    Lots of work and travel!

Will your son be attending college? Military? Work?

My youngest son’s fiancé will graduate with a BS in Nutrition in May. Then she will have 6 months of clinical rotation and then the licensing exam.

I’ll get news of the biopsy 5/9.

  6. My youngest son is moving back in for a short time. The house he shared with his roommates is being sold.

One of my dogs, Daisey, needed a dental and she had a small growth on her leg (that was possibly cancer) removed. The Vet said it was encapsulated and she could get it all. There will be a biopsy to be sure. I finally caught up on my sleep. I was checking her throughout the night. The anesthesia made her nauseous. Also,  I thought it was her allergies, but the night before her surgery she snuck out of the house for 5 minutes and got two foxtails in her left eye. They were removed and there was no damage to her eye.
