4. Shad has made a spreadsheet of everyone's mafia games. It is awesome. Anyway it proves that there is no rhyme or reason as to how many times a person gets rand town or mafia. I have only played 13 games so far and 83% have been town. I have only rand:wolf once and twice subbed in. The time that I rand:wolf there was no town, only 3(3) mafia, 3 (3) cults, 2 masons, 3 SK, and 1 Jester.

Are you or are you not trying to use this as a reason to explain why you are town here?

Why? You are claiming zero information. If town, you can easily be wrong.

 

Only reason I can think of for you to be held accountable to an incorrect read to that extent is you know he isn't.

I really like Darthes come-back on page 45. Its flippant, while still being game related, and its his thoughts rather then stretching/manipulating other peoples posts to make them look like crap.

3rd Party, IE Cult or SK, are notably more dangerous than a single wolf. Kill the Cult Leader early, no cult, kill the SK, thats 1 less nightly kill. If hes not 3rd party, decent odds hes also a wolf. Pretty clear.

 

Also, is it a surprise that I of all people want to kill the 3rd party? How many times do I have to screw with everyone as a 3rd party for people to be wary of them?!

Ok this post bugs me. 3rd party and mafia play very differently. You pointed out that because of how he's playing, he's likely either 3rd party or town. You pointedly excluded mafia from the list. Now you're saying if not 3rd party he's probably mafia.

I take back what I said about sooh's lack of read on shad being weird. He hadn't given a read on her, which is how she bases her read on him. Not having one makes sense.

Hey bop how do you feel about the thread atm? I know that's vague, I'm mostly interested in your thoughts on players developing fast relationships with you despite you being new.

Not sure what you mean by fast relationships. If you mean people reading me villa or interacting with me i think there are as many people open to calling me a villager as there are people who are either unsure or wolf leaning me. I don't think me and DPR are going to dinner anytime soon. Androj kind of villa reads me but he also is wary since i'm his secret wolf. Pralaya/wildfire are a bit skeptical and most others i think have me as a question mark with several posts they like(probably where I should be).

 

I like that there are several people pushing towards not bob. As I said to lenlo, and androj earlier in the week, regardless of what i claimed i have several concerns over his play so far and I think he definitely warrants being in the conversation for today's lynch. I have a small scum read on DPR but i think it's more of wanting it to be true. I think it's interesting that we both seem to agree about not bob being scummy.

See... I dont understand that from a towny mindset. If you know someone is a wolf, and people are believing you, why would you just sit back and do nothing rather than try to push it through and get the lynch? If you sit back, the chance of a lynch stagnating is pretty good yeah? At the very least, I would expect a towny to bring it up or push him or drill him for answers to things or something. But sitting back and letting a lynch just... fall into place? Thats something wolves do so they can say later "Hey, I didnt push this lynch", and yeah that might not work for you if you were a wolf since we have you sorta-kinda claiming a role and that could be a smoking gun, but ive seen people talk their way out of worse situations.

I've never played with Eldrick and don't know a thing about his meta, but whenever anybody posts fluff and then goes back to explain why they posted fluff, it trips me. There's a difference between "developing fast relationships" and systematically putting yourself into the orbit of every discussion so that you can sway opinions. Could be a scum tell, could be townie swagger - we'll know soon enough - but you asking nicely about how bop "feels" and then setting up a forum from which he can spread his gospel is diiiiiirrrrrty.

I thought len was just using the example that calder was in his eyes like this last game wjere je was 3p. Actually sticking on this is really questionable judgement, though im not sure that that equates to wolfy play here. Len. Is a safe wolf iirc.

 

Also, hate how much meta im using in this read, seems hypocritical.
