Need more from Amega, but going with possible scum here aorn. ISOs from 2 most recent Town and 2 most recent Scum games from the database suggest noticeably lower activity as scum and jokier starts than when Town, both of which are what seemed off to me initially here.

There really wasn't much content here when Amega entered/was posting so ehhhh but there's plenty now.

There are 42 games listed under Amega's name in the database and ISOs show analysis and reads being made, so there goes my concern they were maybe a new player psyched out or not knowing how to start.

Can't get ISO links to work here. Ftr games looked at were

Scum:

Mass Effect

Disney

Town:

Godzilla

Mistborn

I keep forgetting to mention it.

Random. You talk about there only being possibly 2 scum because of the traitor.

The rules said that if the main mafia dies, the traitor gains the Mafia NK. So there's 3 either way.

Regardless of whether or not the traitor was recruited, there is 3 scum. Period.

Example Role PMs:

Mafia Goon

Abilities: You may communicate with your partner [Player A] here [QT link]. Additionally you will share a factional Night kill. Each Night you and your partner can select a player to murder, I will take your submission in the provided QT.

Win Condition: You win when you have killed all of the Town players or nothing can prevent this.

Mafia Traitor

Abilities: You are aware that [Player A] and [Player 2] are Mafia aligned. If you are not recruited you will be given a 1x BPV and will take over the factional NK in the event the main faction is wiped out. If you are recruited you will lose your BPV and become a Mafia Goon.

Win Condition: You win when the Mafia has killed all of the Town players or nothing can prevent this.

Mafia Role Cop

You have been converted into a Mafia Role Cop.

Random thoughts that keep getting interrupted by jobs @work:

Eldrick jumped second onto Monstr (Town) and Shad (I have gap since yesterday but ?Town) without Sooh's approval/consensus, but in between was vocal about/focused on not voting NotBob without her input.

@Eldrick - why? /what was reasoning for snap voting Shad?

Random's latest backtrack off Zander is well considered and explained. Could be Towny but ?timing and on ISO there's a level of inconsistency in the amount of consideration he (doesn't) afford Zander compared to other players throughout - Monstr, Eldrick/Sooh, at around the same time itt iirc. Atp I see clear reasons why this could be scummy and no clear reason why there'd be that difference from Town.

The people I am having trouble reading are Darthe and calder. Annoyingly they think I'm scum, so I expect talking to them would be as to a brick wall.

Already proven with Darthe. Not attempted with calder.

Why would you think that?

Not only have I interacted with your Hydra partner consistently, but also made it clear my vote could move if sold.

I actually find it odd that you have not really responded at all to me earlier in the phase when I have taken issue with you.

It is giving me an odd vibe that Sooh might have told you to hold back and let her be the one to talk with me.

Yes, I realized that. My point, however, was that there could be a 2-person "true" mafia team, meaning only two who use the QT and know of each other. So for example:

If Pral and Amega happened to be the original 2 mafia team members and didn't elect to recruit traitor, it would only be those two who knew their alignment.

The quotes in question before

I don't share the reasoning Sooh does to be reading Zander as town. To me it comes down to why and how he tunnels, and that hasn't happened yet.

Could I get an elaboration on this?

If he continues to tunnel after he logically shouldn't, after his reason has been disproven. If his reasoning for the tunnel doesn't make sense.

Got it, thanks. Understood and agreed.

Bold - based on what??

^^^^To be clear. This would cause you to town read him right?

On reread can't tell if this is joke or serious. Skypenoface still applies, x a million

Marsh - IC

Dice - Actively engaging in thr thread. Everything he has said and his pushes make sense. While I disagree with his read on Zander, I understand where he's coming from.  Strong town lean

Cass - Actively trying to solve the game. Good presense ITT and easy to understand. Strong town lean

Random - Followed and agreed with a lot of what he said. Liked his reason for having an issue with manbat, even if it turned out to be a dud. Reevaluating his stance on Zander is a good look. Generally seems to be trying to solve. Town lean

Zander - Snap vote on Random felt very towny. Not understanding how the traitor worked felt genuine. Missing the gusto I usually see from him. Town lean

Darthe - Being very unhelpful and hard to read for the most part. Appreciate that he gave a reason for voting me. Expect to be today's lynch and it's a Town move for him to contribute that information. Null with town lean.

Pral - Not enough information. Expected of him D1. Null

Shad - Can't read Shad. Used to seeing more from him. Don't know if that's scummy or not. Null

Calder - Don't even know how to start reading him. Calder is someone that usually plays the "blatantly scum" position regardless of alignment, and isn't doing that here. Null

Amega - Fluff at the beginning and then one post of content really early. Then nothing. Feels like lurking scum. Cass' info backs this up. Scum lean

Notbob - I have spent a lot of the game going over why I think Notbob is scum. Not gonna rehash it here. If he is town I will honestly be surprised. Strong scum lean

The game of mafia is played, and scum tells come and pass, leaving reads that become pings. Pings fade to suss's, and even suspicion is long forgotten when the poster that originally cased it comes again.

So much lol

I don't recall what they were but they were *SMH and move on*

@Cass

I wasnt joking with my Zander question. Just played last game where he tunneled on Kat, who was town, with so many outted scum in thread. I expect him to tunnel. I dont agree that his tunnel will be thrown aside in the face of new evidence when he is town. I just saw it not be the case.

Got it. The "I have no response/haha" response. Typically comes from scum. Carry on.

I am only about 40 pages into the game. Unlikely I will catch up before deadline. Just too many posts.

Thoughts so far:

Manbat felt townie in that outburst. Don't see him being that emotional as town. So is Nyn.

Zander has looked fine despite his lower than usual posts. Typical as an early Zander game.

Eldrick seems aggressive and posting a lot. Some posts stood out - like voting Manbat around the time he was active - which looked a bit opportunistic. And, his going after Darthe when he mentioned that he is not going to read the game. I would say he falls under the category of "too wolfy to be a wolf".

Notbob, Darthe and Dice seem null or they are playing like they usually do D1.

One person I find odd is Shad. Not about the level of posting but he just looks like drifting through the game. His posts seem too passive and he is commenting on general stuff. That is really odd knowing how he plays. If at this point, I am asked who is scum, I would say Shad.

I've actually been pondering what made me wait for her input on Notbob and not for the rest. Partly cuz the read was so strong. Partly cuz I didn't want it to be omgus and actually wanted to talk it out first. Partly cuz after the snap vote on manbat I realized I should get her input too.

The vote on shad was exactly what I said it was. Pressure. Firmly believe that 1 vote is not enough pressure to matter. I liked zander's idea of putting pressure there so I wanted to make sure it mattered.

Usually I find that Pral has a lot of good insight when he's town, so I'm quoting this for posterity (that is if anyone ever bothers to read my posts again).

Seriously though, Pral is SMART guys.

I dont see a reason why I should. They are so jokingly bad right.

Although that brings up another issue. The very idea that you would see someone pushing you with what you deem garbage yet straight ignore it. Scum move to ignore it.

Your trying to sell me the tale that you just couldnt be bothered to respond when you have been posting constantly. Bull. If you were town you would have been excited to pounce on it and claim it may be a weak push from scumCalder. But you ignored it. Bc you scum.

Maybe, but as long as the pocket sits on a townie I guess we're ok.

That Random list looked fine. Dont like the votes it drew.

Eldrick is prob a wolf. Agree with NotBob. Also Zander really does not feel town at all, but it is early.

First game related post involving me.

Agreeing with Notbob that I'm scum. He didn't give a decent reason. I grilled him on that to no effect. You agreed with his stance also without a reason.

So I should have grilled you too?
