In general the vote switching he did is more likely from town him, I can't remember the Alts game particularly well, but pretty much every other mafia game I've seen from him is characterized (in part) by being focused at end of day on a lynch. If he's mafia then there were 3 town being pushed, there's no need to introduce Sooh.

 

If he did it to mess with us then I'd expect himto be having more 'fun' now

I don't see why. All the three trains were town. There was quite an incentive to switch votes as scum at that point.

Let's talk about what AtE actually means and how to apply it to your reads without being a total clown

 

What is AtE? Standing for APPEAL TO EMOTION, AtE is generally a buzzword for when somebody gets frustrated in a mafia game (what a bunch of losers!! all the cool people are robots!!)

 

"But is it villagery or wolfy?"

 

Well I'm imagine it would depend on the situation.

 

"No!! It has to be one or the other."

 

Have you thought about the reasons for their frustration? Are they frustrated they aren't being read a certain way? Are they frustrated with the gamestate? Are they frustrated with an inability to get their suspects lynched? What is the source - analyze the cause and maybe you can glean into their mind and intent

One of the things that Cory does as scum is to put people/town down and force them to accept that they are making a mistake. It usually deters people because they don't want to end up wrong. 

 

This are some of the posts from the Alt game that I was talking about (He was playing as Sili). Look how close they are to this game. Do go through that game to see scum Cory. And no, he wasn't exactly trolling till late in the game.

Eh, I'm at work so can't write paragraphs.

 

Short version is that until Matrix saying that Cory ATEs inwards as town and outwards as mafia was a pretty decent difference.

 

Since Matrix Cory has worked really hard (as far as I can tell, I haven't seen him as mafia often) on stopping the ATE outwards as mafia (in particular) and it's no longer a reliable tell (it was one of my main arguments against him in SA, in which we almost got him mislynched (sorry Cory)).

 

I think it's now pretty much situational dependent

I really generally don't get mad about mafia related things outside of mafia games unless someone is treating someone very poorly which at least hasn't happened too much here or at least in comparison to what I'm used to

Like I said, the "trolling" started late in the game where it was beyond pretending to be SIli. Until people started suspecting you, you were naturally playing the game. It is when you started getting heat that started making posts which is eerily similar to how you are posting in this game.
