Alright, time's up on guessing the proper name. It was the Banaue rice terraces in the Philippines, built by hand over 2000 years ago.

Those are the Cerro Sarisariñama sinkholes of Venezuela. They might look small from a distance, but the widest is 1.35km (0.8 miles) across, and they get as deep as 315 meters (1033 ft).

Geysers will suffice. :)

It's an obscure location that I didn't expect people to guess, but I found it pretty interesting so I rolled with it. That's the Fly Ranch geyser in Nevada, and what makes it special is that it came about as a consequence of human interaction with nature. While drilling in the 60s, someone broke into this subterranean source and forgot to cap it afterwards.  50 years of eruptions later, the constant flow of hot water full of dissolved minerals has created the spectacle you see above.

I'm really hoping it's not the dung beetle cause that was my first thought but when voles got a "close" I dismissed it cause you know, cute fuzzy critters and dung betters aren't that close.
