Re: thread environment, AJ and BFG both touched on this and they are correct that I talk a lot about thread environment and do my best as a villager to try and keep it healthy but it's a completely imperfect science and I'm an imperfect person. I've had my back to the wall this entire game for reasons I still don't understand and that probably ramps my "frustration level" and makes it hard for me to be calm and levelheaded. I started getting my head into the game around yesterday afternoon and I would guess better things came from me in a healthier headspace. The eruption with SiRReN happened but that had nothing to do with this game and it's since been resolved AFAICT.

 

Regardless of what you want to do, we are ~10 hours from EoD and a lot of people are missing large chunks of the thread and only coming on once or twice a day so we need to start voting or we are going to fail to hit majority.

I don't feel any better about BFG, but I would guess people are going to ignore my read there.

 

She understands my village game has holes and that I am flawed and sometimes hypocritical.

 

There are things like she says "during this time wouldn't Cory have clarified a null read" or etc. that are points against me but I think she understands me or at least the hyperactivity and lack of ability to maintain attention in large spurts and that my brain needs a lot of quiet and processing time to really function.

 

Chris might disagree but I really do feel as a villager she'd come around to the right read on me if she'd gone through my second day. I just did things that I don't do as a wolf there period, and that's stronger than "Cory is too frustrated" or "Cory is different" - I am usually different game to game and this has been a really frustrating game for me because it started right after the onset of my cory mental health episodes and a mixture of trying to dig myself out of that and trying to stand up for myself all game this game has just worn me the hell out.

On an emotional and friendship level, you and me are fine Cory. Our argument was definitely based very little in the actual game and we kind of just blew up on each other because I think we were both super frustrated.

I absolutely think they're valid.  I don't really see much of an argument against it.  As I said before, every time somebody expressed doubt over his alignment, he's turned it into a "you should read me better" or "you're playing poorly" thing.  Take his exchange with Alanna from the early evening.  She said she should have him as town by now and didn't, and he goes "yes you should".  I'll fully admit he ramped it up today and played significantly more pro-town than he did at the start of the game, but she's clearly playing catch up; it's entirely plausible that Town!Alanna wouldn't have seen him being super townie, especially when he's basically kicking her slot in the teeth.

 

This is NOT AT ALL how the conversation between me and Alanna went FWIW. In fact I basically pleaded with her to fully read my posts because she has always read me decently and I would imagine she'd come to the right conclusions based on my second day. I've backed off of their slot tremendously so I don't understand how I am kicking them in the teeth.

If the takeaway from that you got was "chris is townreading BFG because she suspects me", you probably deserve to be the lynch today.

 

I said I'm inclined to believe she's telling the truth bcause HOW she reached that read is precisely how she would as town. Unless you think she's some amazing liar who knows exactly what to say to not set off alarms - to the point where shes basically copy an pasting (not literally) - then shes PROBABLY telling the truth.

 

If you want to argue that she is some hyperaware super wolf, that's an entirely different thing, but I won't be voting her for it.

I think you are town this game. You've had perfect answers for a lot of questions. Your reads make sense. Your willingness to work with people is a good sign. Activity. Tone. Basically, if you're mafia, congratulations on your win. Because you're playing one of the stronger scum games I've seen recently.

But the more obvious answer is you're just town. So I'm willing to sheep you, but I need you to be straight with me: do you feel comfortable enough with Sirren to tell me I should honestly just write her off?
