Hallia's engagement level looks good so far.

 

Sirren I am going to take my sweet time with reading this game, now that I know how wide her range is.

 

Cory I am just going to town read and quietly stomach the dread that I know I could never catch him anyway.

 

Alanna looks so-so for trying to force early content. The amusing part for me is that her content thus far reads much like her accusation of Kat.

 

I never let anyone slide for anything if I can help it. Not joke or meta votes, not bad explanations.

 

If you're town at this point Sili, you'll have to do more than tell me I'm wrong to convince me.

 

But enough Sili for now. I like Andrej bringing up one of my few posts on another issue to say he liked my posts. Feels good, feels townie

 

Hallia feels town which is slightly DANGEROUS because it's at least partly based on my suspicion of Sili but I am aware of my bias and will keep an open mind.

 

Cory's doing his early game stretching so I await the ball to roll, but he seems good so far. I've yet to go toe to toe with mafia cory so that could be my downfall someday.

 

Zander feels better after our misunderstanding was cleared up so I will need to see more from that pair.

 

These are what's on the top of my mind for now.

 

At a glance, the above from AJ and Regy feels good.  I do like definitive reads, especially early on.  I find scum is less likely to do so.

 

 

Just princess and Darthe now.

 

I imagine Derf will come stumbling in at some point and I will promptly vote him for saying dumb stuff.

I'll hold you to it.

 

In all serious, what is Darthe's town meta? Is he a game solver?

Did you all decide to be as awkward as possible deliberately?  I read the first ten pages and want my fifteen minutes back.

 

I could almost lynch Cory today.  I realize that it's not going to go anywhere, and he's probably going to dismiss it as paranoia or being weird, but he's sounded legitimately bad.  Him saying he's trying something new means literally nothing to me (positive or negative).

 

I like Hallia's early effort and willingness to get involved but her phrasing is rubbing me the wrong way.

 

 

 

 

I never see Cory doing anything that makes him less than who he is naturally at this game, and that's involved and passionate.

 

 

Why the need to include Zander?  You're hydra, no?

 

 

 

What was wrong about me making a dig at corys changed meta? Seems fair game to mention with how often ppl use that as an excuse snd then flip wolf. Not sure cory would use that excuse but I liked his response. That last post was a little stilted, not gonna quote bc it's too long on mobile

Content wise, everything looks okay, and I don't mind either post to Alanna.  But something strikes me as off.

 

Zander/Alanna both look all right to me.   Zander's early approach to Cory is probably more likely to come from him as town than mafia, and this seems like a really natural response to Cory's advice (which is probably good advice, regardless of Cory's alignment)

 

 

 

Zander earnest advice: if you are a villager, take a little time off and let other people get comfortable in the thread before pushing in any given direction unless you think it has a great deal of merit

 

There's no need to start off the thread with 10+ pages of arguments between four people in a thirteen player game with 48 hours to go. Let the discussion open up a little

He absolutely could - I'm not saying he couldn't have.  But is it more likely he saw Cory (somebody I know he respects as a good player) giving him advice on how to be more...helpful? town...and said, "Nah, I'm good." as town or scum?  I would guess town.

 

Not sure I agree with you that she's more snappy as scum.  I think she's probably more likely to get that bite that comes with irritation as town.  But the off didn't really have anything to do with the mood or feel of her posts, but the actual wording.

In the top one...like I said...the question is fine - as an idea.  There's no need for Alanna to include her thoughts on Zander.  If she's town, she's going to say he's town.  If she's mafia, she's going to say he's town.  But that just reads unnatural to me - objectively, and subjectively for how I think Hallia would phrase that.

 

Compare that to something like...say...

 

"Why include Zander?  You guys are a hydra."

 

With the bottom...again...perfectly fair question.  If she had ended the post after the question mark, I wouldn't have thought anything of it.  But to ask what's stitled, and then state she doesn't know what that means in the context given (again, with wording that just pinged me as unnatural) stood out to me.

For where they were at the time, I would argue that's a reasonable amount of effort for explaining her thought process.  Beyond that - it's Zander.  The guy basically thunderdomes everybody who even suggests he might not be town (barring one amazingly talented, wonderfully chinned player in 90's Music that was definitely NOT mafia <3 u Z)

 

I dislike the practice, but I would argue him being concerned with even the faintest of scum leans on him an hour and a half into the game is probably MORE likely to come from him as town.

@Clov - snappy probably wasn't a good word to describe. If you paid attention at all to Darthe's game, the way she responded to me when I accused her of things is what I'm trying to express. Basically whenever I said something negative she would turn it around back on me. Tonally it was very confrontational but not like in a stand your ground because you're innocent kind of way.

 

Anyway - yeah, in isolation the phrasing does sound kind of weird. Almost like someone speaking English as their second language which obviously isn't the case for Hally.

 

I'll leave it as noted.

I felt like the hydra was doing alot of dirt throwing towards kat early. I didn't really view it as solving as kat put it. I tried to look for the 1 post that made me think that but i couldn't find it. Kat hasn't made any post that i really like, she is less wordy than usual, and when she repeated herself. 
she isn't posting like I generally see town kat, though in her defense she gets better as the game goes on.

I just generally dislike these 2 the most, and the way they interacted bugged me and i dont think they are t/t
