Yeah... Stop doing that. That's a play that benefits you as a player more than your team as a whole so it's more of a wolf thing to do.

Are wolves more self-aware than villagers?

Not necessarily. Depends on the player.

Just look at the player, try to understand them in a greater context, and figure out if they are acting abnormal.

The problem is...you've been highly unselfaware for large chunks of the game. And when you make jokes like that, it feels like you're potentially rubbing it in our faces.

Like remember when you were all "omg, everyone's reads suck except for mine! town is lost if I die!" thing?

And then you turn around and say "lol oh yeah, my bad, I don't believe those reads anymore"?

If you want us to feel like it's genuine, then don't joke. Adjust.

Why are you calling Celeste out for showing up after dl and not me? I'm just curious. She was at work, I said I would be away at a fancy dinner. We both showed up right past dl.

I can't help you when you say stuff like that. *sigh*

Anyway, I'm tagging out.

This whole night chat thing is a foreign concept to me, and I like my breaks from the game between day phases.

However, I probably will post tomorrow because I'm a compulsive when it comes to mafia and can't stay away and I have the day off from work. I have a visitor for the weekend and (fortunately for Alanna) I won't be posting as much in the game until she leaves on Monday night. But I won't be able to stop myself try to peak in and catch up where I can. I'll make some excuse for why I need alone time...like..."paper work" or something :tongue:

I did adjust. You hear me say town is lost if I die since I change my mind about Laine and to a degree on Hallia? Nope. Sort of the point. I can in retrospect understand what I did and how what I said is understood.

That is selfawareness. The villagery sort of selfawareness.

A wolf is aware they are pushing someone for bad reasons and don't need to come to the conclusion they are wrong to joke about how bad they are playing.

If you don't get it, I don't think my explanation will help you.

But let's go into alternate universe world.

Universe 1: you say that as town. But it doesn't seem to change your behaviour. Next time you fling out your theory on lynch candidate number 57 you're just as self assured as when you threw it out on lynch candidate 42. And then you go "lolme". And then you do it again with lynch candidate 58. It's just tedious and unhelpful, and makes people just not want to pay attention to anything you're trying to say. I'm not the only one who has made that comment, so don't try to make it sound like that's all on one person.

Unverse 2: you say that as scum. You're laughing it up at us because you're blatantly scumming and we're reading you as town for it. At the end of the game you flip scum and we all look like idiots for clearing you for being to scummy to be scum.

Do you understand why that would rub me the wrong way in either universe?

@Clov, Celeste has officially failed the derp clear. She went full derp. Never go full derp.

I give people the benefit of the doubt about RL. For instance, I was on VLA at the beginning of this game because I started a new job Monday and thought I'd be gone a lot but turns out they don't care if I use my phone all day so lol no VLA anymore.

Im saying she wasnt at work but she her showing up the minute of the flip is a horrible look.

Is it too horrible? So horrible that we can reasonably assume she would know better than to do it?

Universe 3 is I'm calling you out on being scum obnoxiously even though I've been wrong about many people before you.

One possible interpretation. Not necessarily correct, but it's what I was thinking.

I am not going lolme however. I legitimately think it was a mistake voting Seph there and I have said so and I have said why I made that mistake. I have also said why I made the mistake with Laine. It is not just that I am joking about it, I am also explaining it.
