I dont really mind that you misunderstand what i meant about you and celeste since that is my fault. Ive also been all over the place so i dont mind the omgus.

I took it that you said calder was a really good player and you expected more and when calder said you had the wrong idea and said it was not a secret he was a bad player you went on a tangent about how he was weird to expect understanding which you had implied.

@ Liz current thoughts?

Current thoughts..I'll give you some.

Basically I'm glad to see that there's some actual movement going on. I'm sticking by my Celeste read.

Sili...I don't think I'm ever going to get a clear coherent answer that I can wrap my head around from Sili. I've had him as a town read for most of the game in part  because he keeps pushing things that don't make sense in ways that don't make sense, but he's so damn confident about it every time he reminds me of other players that I used to consistently read as scum for doing that and then later found out they were town (like Penny, ironically enough). But, I'm also considering that he may be derpwolfing, like the scumbuddy of yours that I gave a pass to  when graveyarding in Chris' game. I don't want to lynch him today, but I want to see what he (and Calder) does at the end of the day if the lynch wagons are evened up. I'm actually considering switching my vote over to Celeste just for that....but I think it's too risky at this point...I'll let it play out.

Seph...I honestly don't know about Seph. Like I said, I had him as a town read for most of this phase, but then he's done weird stuff with weird reasoning, but then he comes out sounding so town in his tone.

I'd honestly rather lynch Zev today, because seriously, I don't care if he's new, this level of inactivity with this long of a phase just isn't helpful to town one way or the other and we'll be stuck trying to figure him out tomorrow. But I know I'll never get enough people to follow that philosophy. So for now.  I'm just going to watch and eat some popcorn and see how it all rolls out at the end of the day.

Clov shouldnt you be tearing this logic apart. This is not my role yo.

If I understand what you were getting at, I might.

Sili, if you want me to weigh in on something, I need to you tell me what it is you're wanting me to look at.  If you're talking about Liz's explanation for her vote, I really don't have any issue with her moving off a wagon that was gaining no traction to see where things went.  Seph was in no damage of being hammered when she moved over, and there was plenty of time left before deadline.

If she didn't think his re-entry into the thread was particularly good, I don't fault her for not moving off.

Posted

So... Seph was your weakest town read so you voted him in order to generate real wagons one of which was likely going to be celeste who you are sure is town?

Sort of. But not quite.

No one was going to vote for Calder. I obviously had questions about Calder's alignment. Seph wasn't helping his case with his more recent play in the thread, so I decide to test the theory of what if Calder and Chris were right and I was missing something.  I'm also a practical kind of gal. No clear wagon means scum gets to hide. Clear wagons mean people have to step up to the plate and be accounted for. Sitting around with 2, 2, 1, 1 makes no sense and no one was going to vote Zev with me, so yeah. I made the choice to see what would happen if there was a clear lead wagon, especially after Seph jumped off of Calder leaving me stranded with an inactive on that wagon.

An inactive who I will again point out just left his vote at the start of the day and never followed up to make sure it didn't actually cause a problem at the end of the day...but meh, I won't beat that dead horse anymore.

Or you wanted reactions? But i dont understand why.

I am editing myself right now...

*be nice Liz! Be nice!!!!!*

I really hope you're wrong about one of Celeste/Sili/Seph.  If all three of them are town, I'm pretty sure we're never winning this game.

The idea of moving on Zev at this point is pretty disgusting at this point, though.  I'm fine with Celeste or Seph being the lynch, and I understand why people might want to lynch Sili, even if I'm trusting my instincts and sticking with my townread.  But you need to be accountable.

Blue - don't tease me...

Okay, so you found the quote I asked you about, so you did remember it. Good

And I pointed out that I did not keep pushing Celeste. In fact you were involved in a conversation where you and Clov were scratching your heads about why Celeste thought I was tunneling her. And I came in after your conversation and gave some insight into where her head might be at and why I didn't think she was actually scum. And then there was the whole back and forth that I had with Zander about his take that my scum read on Celeste was for nonexistent reasons and why wasn't she pushing back on me more.

Remember all this?

So how does that fit with your reinterpretation of events.

As for the Calder thing, I made a comment about hearing rumours about Calder being a good player. I did not say anything about having a play by play on his playstyle. So yes, it was confusing to me that he jumped to the conclusion that I knew his playstyle in detail. But...maybe that's just a *cough*...better not finish that sentence...

(I actually like you Calder, so don't be offended please! :P)

Why would that be a confusing conclusion, though?  Obviously you knew something about him - I'm not sure who this information could have been coming from  - so I really don't understand why he wouldn't be inclined to think you had heard something about how he plays, beyond "he's good."  That actually seems like a really natural assumption.

Bold - I would love to hear that you were going to say there.

It's confusing to me because...I won't say exactly what my thought is about the difference, but I wouldn't have made that assumption that he made. I just don't think I'd assume that someone who had heard I was a strong player had discussed me in THAT much detail. I realized when trying to make sense of his whole him-Celeste scenario and his phrasing that my issue with it probably has more to do with a difference in thinking style than a mindset slip.

doesn't say anything either way for his alignment. But just that I kind of think I get why I might perceive some of the things he says differently from how he might have intended them. I am starting to feel better about his play in the past 24 hours though.

This is where I am currently in my head

10. Lizabeth

Slight town

3. Zander

1. Darthe

7. alannalynn

12. Thane Vakarian

slight mafia

11. Celeste

Mafia

6. Calder

I am going to re read and re adjust later, but I wanted to give everyone a general idea of where I Am

So here is the reads list.

thane isn't suppose to be up there lol. I like his tone this game, but I was waiting until he came back ITT to decide.  sorry about that

This is in response to me asking him about having a read on Thane with 0 content,

I'm pretty pumped, this is my first full game since I came back :)

Darthe and thane seem town so far.

What I had missed was this, seph's very first post of the game.

Im confused even more now by this because of his response to mine,

If you were reading him Town and like his tone then why should he have not been there?

What are you getting at with this?

Can I get him to answer first?

Its prolly nothing but I just wanna kick the tires on this and see.

Then why are you still on him?  Is he just the lesser of three evils at this point?

Or greater of three non-evils, I suppose.

Meh, I'm not seriously considering moving over to Zev. I'm just annoyed at his blatant disregard for the game and the fact that we'll still have to clear his slot tomorrow. I will be SUPER pissed if both Celeste and Seph are town. But yeah, that's why my games will always have minimum post requirements. Makes me a happier mod...

As for the blue...do you think I should?

Yeah, pretty much. Either way. You and Calder being so sure of him in the beginning and me being less sure of my original read on Calder has a lot to do with it too.

I'm not really sure what the alternative is at this point.

No.  Only I'm allowed to use my vote in such a blatantly anti-town motivated way so close to deadline, in hopes of making somebody I'm not sold on choosing between two options, even when it means putting one of my claimed townreads.

I mean, of course not, I would never encourage such blatant irresponsibility.

God, I hope Alanna shows up before deadline.

I think lynching Zev looks really good on you if he flips Scum but really bad on you if he flips Town,

Theres way too many active players for you not to have a Scum read you at least feel somewhat comfortable.

Also if he's Town I dont think we really gain anything from it other then sussing you tbqh.  Maybe some wolves jump on te train but maybe they dont if he's Town so I dunno, the cons outweigh the pros here imo.

Well, I won't do it right now because it's 30 minutes to deadline. And I'm remembering what happened to Morfy in our Mafia Academy game :P

(not that I would be THAT reckless if I DID do it...sheesh! trying to change his vote right on the deadline?)

@ zander. I already explained it to you, but I'll go in a bit more detail.

Thanes beginning had good tone, and was excitable which was refreshing to see. I didn't want to put him in my list because he said he would be back soon and I wanted to see what I thought when he did.

Also zander we know you can't see dirt in Canada, there is only snow and ice
