Ladies and gentlefolk, I submit to you clear examples of anti-town behavior a la Sili.  Without going into requoting my own cases and etc it's apparent even at the top of this page that he isn't invested in things that don't benefit him individually this round.

 

 

How well do you read Sili historically Darthe?

 

I didnt get/understand the timing stuff irt me or like the explanation but Sili does a lot of stuff I dont understand or get so I dont know if that makes him necessarily scummy here.

 

And you'll have to forgive me for not blindly following/sheeping your "GOAT: reads after your Im 100% sure Zander is Scum tin Shad's game.....

 

I don't really "get" sili either.  So 50/50.

 

TBH, I do really well when everyone is playing a really good consistent game.  Put me in a thread where people are all really townie and I can find the wolves on the small mistakes they make.  Put me in a game where townies are being emotional wrecks and others are lollygagging and others are spouting off nonsense and the wolves just blend to me, if not actively outperform the rest.  

 

Sili goes back and forth from one to the other sometimes in the same phase.

 

 

Bold is why im questioning your read on him.

 

Bold is why I'm pushing him.  If I can resolve him now I don't have as much stress or confusion down the road.  Beyond that, how many passes will you give him before you turn on him?  People do that to townies and wolves and it's a crapshoot.  

 

 

Till he does something that really pings me or moves into PoE.

@zander When you have different thinking processes from other players in Mafia, it gets really annoying having the other person not listen. That's the problem I have had with Liz before. We have very different thoughts in mafia and it's gotten to bad heights before.

 

I get that believe me, i have trouble getting people to listen to me.  But still not gonna stop me if someone does something weird.  Like WHAT do YOU THINK of her read on you based off of what she said.

at around 11am you had an easygoing tone. at around 2am you were intense. yet while you seemed engaged you were not saying anything hard to fake. a wolf may post the same way you did: lazy at first and then tries hard later to seem like they're trying.

 

So if im understanding you right:

 

I come in a bit loose jokey in the first 2-3 pages then come back a couple hours when theres more page and content and then focus in?

 

What about the other people that were joking around then became more serious?

 

Am I really missing what youre getting at?

I'm actually pretty happy town reading Seph right now. Darthe can have a slight town lean though I'm hesitant reading him so early. Zander is pending

#116 Sili I think Zander's entrance has been on par with his usual entrance into a game, this interaction between you two feels weird though #129 I always find the best way to read Zander is to just let him loose on the thread and see what he does. He reacts poorly under pressure as either alignment, especially if it's immediate.
 

laine/seph arguments look v/v to me.

Still haven't had a single post of Sili's click for me. Neutral on Zander as well.

Slightly liking Calder but hesitant to even post that I'm so uncommitted to it.

#172 Liz, why are you town reading Zander? And you say that's a serious vote on Calder, raisons? NVM I see reasons. I've been ignoring Calder until I feel like dealing with him, that generally works for me. The vote is okay though, Calder's been meh thus far from what I've skimmed

#213 Calder's reasoning on Seph isn't bad, it's where I was headed to start with but once I thought about it after I talked with Darthe, it just seems a real attention-gathering splash to make as scum. I haven't played with Seph in a while, but I'm going to lean town for now due to his interest in getting things started.

Skimming a little to get through these pages... Liz is sus of Celeste (raisons?) and Darthe is better than thou and denouncing emotions. I find that emotion helps me read some people, tbh.

as i explained many times now, but using your words, it wasn't just that you focused in. you focused in prematurely.

you didn't come up with any strong reads after 2 hours correct? That would prove my point, but more aptly I thought your posts after a couple hours were a lot of hot air - sort of easy to make.

I can understand someone coming back after two hours to dig in, but I have a slightly harder time imagining they dig in with no content to dig into. But at the same time, it is possible. I rushed to a read earlier and your confusion seems genuine, so I want to give you another chance. Take that for what you will.

 

As to why I read you differently than other people well that comes down to several facts: your tonal shift was dramatic but inconsequential and therefore more notable than some others; other players were around throughout and adjusted to the content real-time. In addition you commented on posts you were around to see earlier and I had to ask what you added in those responses you could not have said initially.

 

Z/Sili can you concisely explain the timing issue in one post so I can get what's going on?

Yeah.

 

This morning Zander was around and active, but in normal Zanderesque style sort of easy-going and hard to read as a results. 2-3 hours later (at about 2pm) he comes back and rereads the first several pages responding to everything he had already read mostly uselessly. I say it was useless because in the end I did not feel like his responses showed progression, or were hard to fake. Some of his posts were in fact 'hey this person is objectively correct'.

 

So he posted a lot to fill up the thread, basically, but I could not determine what he added to the discussion.

My suspicion of Celeste is basically based on tone and vibe. But she'll prove me wrong if I'm wrong. If I'm wrong I'll be the first to admit it. If I'm right I'll let you know when I know.
