New to the site and pretty new to the series

Hi everyone the name is Serg.  I am new to the site and pretty new to the series (Just started book four and am on a binge reading session so finishing them really quick).  I really enjoy them so far and want to know where to start in immersing myself in the universe without spoiling anything for my read.  I really nerd out and like to flesh out every detail as I go on my journey.  Any advise is helpful.  Thank you.

Thank you. I just want to throw it out there. How good is this series in everyone's opinion? I like it so far and am really curious to see where it goes.

If you like it so far you will continue to like it.

It never stops being interesting (although I could do without most of the Aiel storyline).

We all have our little pet hates and loves about the series ... lol

 

If you think about the fact that there are enough people who're obsessed enough with the series to actually warrant a fully fledged social and roleplay website, then you can imagine how good it is.

If you don't want spoilers, then avoid the General WoT discussions board. You're always welcome at the Social Groups, though even there you might encounter the odd spoiler. My advice would be to read another few books before joining in fully.

Since you have yet to finish the series you might tread carefully around the threads on our Discussion Boards, that is where people can start and/or join in on discussions about the series and characters from it but for those who are still working on it the threads are also probably going to contain spoilers... especially the earlier parts in the series as it sounds you are currently at.

 

As Elgee pointed out, in addition to the discussion boards you might enjoy checking out our many Social Groups which can be a great way for you to meet and get to know some of the people around the site. You may join as many groups as you'd like and each one has their own draw. All of the groups have some great members, many of us are members of multiple groups, and each group has some fun activities to participate in. If any of the groups appeal to you then feel free to apply to join them. If you have any questions about The Band of the Red Hand, home of music, travel, drinks & food, I should be able to answer them (I'm the Band's Exececutive Officer). If you have any questions about The Black Tower, home of Spam and Madness, I should also be able to answer those too. Other than those two groups I can't really answer many of your questions but if you post here or in their general board I'm sure one of their members will be more than happy to help answer your questions about their group. From my experiance, many of the groups seem to have a little bit of RP mixed in however do not mainly focus on it.

 

If you are looking for some in depth RP we also have the RP-Groups which, though I have little to no knowledge of, is something many find fun to participate in. If you plan on participating I believe they have a main board you can post any questions to if no one here is able answer them.

Welcome!  I'm only about half way through the series and I've been posting on this site for almost a year without running into any spoilers.  If you stick to the Social Group forums you'll find a lot of themed communities that provide some immersion without giving away any secrets.  Check them out!  Generally if it's not a topic that implies spoilers (direct book discussion/speculation, things like that), you'll be in the clear.
