I never caught manbat soft claiming.

 

But trying to make sense of roles just throws me back to the game that shall not be named.  I don't like doing it.  They're generally self-resolving.

I had to look at Matrix for a baseline--that was a not really scummy but still eventual lynchbait town!Hallia outing.  The tone in which she expresses her opinions is very bland and matter of fact.  "I find this forced."  "I'm not fond of this."  "I'm liking your catch-up."  That's not all of it, but it comprises the majority of the content, I think, and there aren't many posts where she breaks out of her even-keel mode of delivery.  She was also very low content--didn't have much thread presence and it was easy to forget she was playing.

In Belichick she's playful while game-related, enthusiastic, extends arguments with her suspects and is all-around more emotive in expressing her opinions.  "Onwards and upwards!" after stating her first read list.  "This whole thing stinks."  "You can feel that way all you want Thane, but pardon, it doesn't make it so."  "And yet you still ignore alllllll of the quotes and rest of the game."  "If I'm lynched today that's ok, I hope it would cement my reads and give town good stuff to go off, as my reads are awesomeeeee"  "Ooooooh, Yates seems touchy today" when scum reading him.  Her post count/thread presence was also high (keep in mind she died N1) and she made herself the center of attention while she was around.  That's a big part of it, and I don't know if it's something you can appreciate if you didn't play in the game.

That was the difference between Belichick and what I see as typical town!Hallia, and I've been harping on her to bring that game back as town ever since.

It clicked in my head that I was seeing Belichick!Hallia somewhere around "I'm pretty proud of myself there on that list." "ZANDER SAY YOU'RE PROUD OF MEEEEE".  Stuff like "I'll prove it to you once some of these other slackers get in here and post.",  "*in the mafia qt* Hallow isn't being her normal fluffy inactive self! Quick! Say her play is weird and lunch her towards end of day and when she flips town cop out and say "well she was being weird", "Stop with the pity party." is standing out to me in ISO.  She's not really going at her suspects to the extent she did in Belichick, and a lot of her positive interaction was with an IC, but the excitement and the confidence in her reads, the emotion and playfulness in her manner of addressing people, the thread presence and willingness to be in the mix, not watching from the sidelines, her sheer post count--I struggle to see that as anything but her strong town game.  My feeling hasn't changed reading her again.

I don't know if that really sums it up well for you or not.  I'm sick to death of studying people's play across multiple games and trying to pin down their meta in explicit, detailed ways that I can articulate.  Like, I really loathed doing this.  I want to rely more on gut reads to establish my town core like I did in my first games here.  It's more fun that way.  Warcraft and [censored] were both really stressful games for me and I lost them anyway.  This business of spending multiple hours studying individual players has not paid off in practice, and I don't enjoy doing it, and I'm making a conscious effort to stop myself from doing it.

as you saw i had a reason for my vote. was it a GOOD reason? not really but she had about as much game content as the inactives do yet she was here.

 

 

My point was that you didn't mention a reason. You never said anything about why you suspect her. I pointed out that you mentioned you would vote her, not that you had a reason, because said reason doesn't exist ITT.

That first sentence doesn't really make a whole lot of sense, but the implied meaning is I kind of don't care atm if I'm misclearing shad, because I think it will become obvious in time to me if I am.

 

That and I can't abide by the lack of interest and activity coming from so much of the playerbase

 

So... Csarmi.

Csarmi was townie D0, but seemed to change going into D1. If Turin's right about the setup I'd look very seriously at Csarmi, if there were mafia D0 then I'd look elsewhere as well.

 

But Pral/Nolder/(Thane) are going to be a problem that need resolving somehow

I was happy with my D0 read, and there are elements of your play D1 that I think are more likely from Town!Csarmi but I don't have the same confidence in them than the stuff from D0.

You're IC and despite having outted power roles, people both listen to you and want your post count out of the thread so you're a pretty ideal target tonight unless your reads are absolute crap. Secondly, you have more posts than I can wade through in case you die tonight. You're the only person I trust 100% and you generally make good reads. So talk to me, give me a summary on people if you can manage, but a simplified reads list would do just fine.
