[Advanced] Nightmare Before Christmas - Town Wins!

Pretty sure WoT used to be a scum strategy here and (are? were?) a scum practice on another site that some DMers play at. Can't remember more than that about it, but it's a thing. Not getting that vibe from pizza though.

Kivam and I WoT-bussing each other to the point of completely drowning out the town is one of my prouder mafia moments.

Thank you both for noting that but I want to be evaluated on in game merits and nothing else.  I'm doing everything I can to summon my WIM cause I actually randed Town this time and trying to get into the game full swing.  

 

I will be away some of tonight and tomorrow so I'll do as much as I can in between but after that I'll really try and focus everything into the game.

 

Every time you say this, it pings me. This is the second or third time this game alone. It sounds hollow and like you're compensating. You would say that if you were a wolf too (or, at least, you should if you're playing to your WC).

Thane's recent post on Zander has me concerned. He has suspects but doesn't name them, from what I recall he has town reads on Pizza and AJ but I don't know what he thinks of anyone else and he's far ore open (especially recently) when town. I get that he can't interact like normal, but to come into the thread and share so little is exactly what he was doing as mafia in Diablo.

 

Snow had a up and at em kind of entrance, but I recall very little since then. His early post about wanting kick start the game aren't reflected in his posts since. Early on his forgetting who was playing is sort of understandable but I don't understand the point of the post. Leelou had made a joke VC including those votes which he missed while reading through? It felt like busy work. He said early on that he was going to ISO Nolder, BT still hasn't followed through. Since then most of is posts that I remember has been n the lurker discussion, but I don't recall any conclusions being drawn - the conversation was about Nolder, yet despite participating in it he's still null? Ok I just ISO'd him this is his major content post. Suggests he's town n AJ, light town on Pizza, scummy on Zander and Nolder, again doesn't follow through. He does have finals at the moment. I'm also not sure if he h's experience with Zander to know that Zander repeatedly saying he's town is null (at least I assume it is )

 

I don't know how t read NB, I feel like I should have a better handle on this slot with all the attention given to it. But I think I need votes and trains to really make a decision here.

 

Tabor again I don't know how to read. his game feels 'safe' compared to Diablo, but in Diablo I was finding her slightly scummy Day 1 for being more fluffy/snarky than usual.

 

Nolder; I feel like he was responding to he wrong stuff from Pizza early on, but the stuff that as important is better to prove by doing than saying, which he sort of has been. I disagree pretty strongly with him on Lenlo but I have recent game experience there that he may not. I don't know why he's town reading Paine, yet he's been pretty insistent on other people explaining reads. Just not really comfortable here yet.

I want to reread my nulls and get better opinions on them. 

I'd have dice as light scum if my top town reads weren't town reading him. 

Zander and Tabor are mutually exclusive. I don't see Zander Kivam'ing, so if one flips scum, it clears the other in my book. 

Tabor because of Zander's case on her. 

BFG's meta-based analysis bugs me. Meta is too easy to manipulate, and is (imo) an easy thing for scum to look at. Going to try to get a feel from her other games to see if this is consistent. (The irony). 

I don't even know how to ISO NotBob. 

Nol's one of the ones I really can't decide on. 

Thane's preprocalimed inactivity, nothing to really do with that slot. 
Pretty sure AJ's town here 7/10 times.

Nolder: i think you noted that Zander was asking a lot of questions. I don't really think it's bad, actually. Seeing some serious gameplay and not all lololol's is nice for a change.

 

BFG: the comment i made concerning Pizza and wolfie actually was a test to see how people would react on it, especially pizza. Might have been just a silly little nudge, but it got a few minor reactions. All in all, not too bad for a little prod.

 

AJ: why not me? wish i could tell you, but that'd ruin the fun. I'll tell you later in the game, ok? You seem quite town.

 

got the feeling that out of Nolder, Lenlo and Notbob, there's a wolf. Not all of them, i doubt it. But one, and we'll find out who later.

 

So what conclusions did you draw?

 

we'll have to see about the follow through i'd say. Zander isn't high on my suspect list atthis point though.

Or he could actually just think I'm null. That's not a possibility you're allowing and it's unfair to the analysis.

The bolded part was something I was actually hoping NotBob would say, as I stated earlier about not wanting to write his defense for him. It was something that I considered when evaluating Pizza's case earlier but I disagree with you that Pizza was necessarily wrong for pointing it out.

 

I'm not sure I follow you here. NotBob had already made his 'Nolder is null' case. Pizza called it scummy. What more could NotBob have said in line with Nolder's comment besides "I'm not lying"?

Pizza, AJ and Zander are all town leans but I feel cautious around them still.

 

I've had absolutely zero success in reading Zander correctly in any of our recent games. I want to say he sounds more thoughtful this time, but I thought that in Diablo as well AJ is pointing out a lot of things that I like before I get there and PIzza's been pretty transparent with his thoughts and was the one to really kick start the game

The back and forth you had consisted almost entirely of you arguing about what games he was referencing and which ones he should reference instead. So no, it didnt.

 

My motivation was to get him to lock down his case into something concrete we can reference later so if we lynch you and you flip town, he cant back pedal on his case. By getting him to lock down what it was we make it harder for him in the future to wiggle around.

I know this may be just something from my PoV that bothers me.  But why make the seeing a pattern comment without checking to see if its actually a patternt??  That's is pinging me some FWIW.

First though - @Zander, can you give some examples (preferably with quotes) to emphasize the meta you're saying Taborline isn't showing? Like I said earlier when we read the same ISO, she is as basically as neutral as can be to me based on her content but I also have very little experience with her. If she's off her game can you show some examples?

 

@Shad - could you phrase your question a little differently? I'm not sure exactly what you're asking. Basically what I was saying is that I would've thought very highly of NotBob is he would've countered Pizza by reaffirming his stance with the counterpoint Nolder pointed out. It was something I had considered during the debate and I think it would've been a reasonable defense on NB's part instead of how he sort of threw shade at Pizza
