I already commented that Nomi wasn't allowing for a third option with regards to Notbob, the option where he just didn't have a read on me, and it started a big argument.

 

To be honest if someone were to ask Notbob now he'd probably have more of an opinion since I finally got around to posting but ya'll are too busy arguing about a null read from like page 5 or something.

@ Tab    so what do you want?  Ive already said im reading AJ town, Ive interacted with Pizza re him Nolder and NB  Ive gone back and forth with Snow    and that one isnt JUST about ettiquette. If you read it you should see that it started because of conversation about voting people because they were posting elsewhere. You wanna vote someone? make a case. Hell even just agree with Pizza who already made a case. Even just say I want to vote so and so cause i want to but take some ownership of why ure doing it.

I have posted more than self defense, especially in regards to our conversation today. This is a blatant misrep.

I've seen them. Other than the Xander one I really have nothing to say and the only thing I'd have to say about Xander is in regards to meta which is pretty much irrelevant so I decided to hold my tongue there and see how it developed.

 

Ok now moving back to the Notbob thing.

It's actually taken me all day to catch up with the whole thread, and I still feel like I have very few notes.

 

I feel quite good about Pizza, though I don't really have much meta to go on there. I only played with you once in Mafia, but I don't think I can trust that meta as you were trying to disguise yourself (if your usual post style is like this, long and detailed, then it could have been quite the give away).

It should be noted, I wasn't trying to disguise my thoughts or my style of play, I merely tried to use a different account name to avoid a personal conflict between myself and another member.

 

It ended up being prophylactic, but not necessary, and caused more drama than it was ever worth, trying to avoid non-game-related drama.

 

All my thoughts and posts were in the same style as before. You'll note I was very open that game, and that some persons such as Cory and Zander figured out who I was anyway, mostly because I wasn't trying to hide me at all, just the name.

As for Nolder, thank you. I can see what you are saying but this game has only been up for 20 hours or so. Yeah he popped in and then dipped, but that was very early on before any real content started. He could have gone to sleep, or had something to do cause its the weekend. So while I dont disagree with your assessment of those two games/his scum game, I wanna give him abit of time to get involved now that we have gotten serious.

 

If upon his return he stays consistent with your case then I will feel good following you and voting him.

I expressed my view on you here Nolder. I said that I was going to wait for you to come back and start posting before I did anything, because while I agree with Pizza I wanted more to go on. I have more to go on now, and I am not liking it.

 

From what I have seen, NotBob is pretty quiet and succinct just as a player. He explains what he wants, when he wants and if he doesnt want to, to bad. Do I think this is good? No. Do I think we shouldnt lynch him for acting this way? Also no. But I would like more to go on than just NotBob doesnt wanna talk to me.

 

I would like a translator then yeah. Ill pay 1 cent a word, so about 7 bucks a post at this rate.

Heres for NotBob. I dont think what NotBob did was all that bad with what we currently know. Was just him being him. If you end up flipping scum, then I will reevaluate him, but atm I am null on him.

 

For Pizza I have made my stance clear multiple times. I think he is town. I simply get paranoid about his posts.

If you look at Nolder's back and forth with me earlier, I got the distinct impression I was talking to someone who was arguing dishonestly.

 

Not just someone who was not understanding my arguments or, just not defending themselves or reacting well to the circumstances. I got a very serious feeling like I'm talking to someone who is trying to argue their way out of being in trouble, using verbal resistance, and that's simply the entire point behind it.

 

I didn't get an honesty vibe to the whole matter.

 

Now, I'm super biased, given that I am the one making the case, and i have a first person perspective in my debate with Nolder.

 

That being said, that feeling of dishonest argument was really palpable. If people are not reading that dishonest method of arguing in that exchange, I don't think they're reading it very carefully or with an open mind.

 

I just want to draw attention to it.

 

It has a similar feel to when you have a kid who definitely broke a lamp, but is blaming it on the cat, and while you didn't see the kid do it, you know the cat was outside.

 

That's the feeling I'm getting. Defense, nitpick, deflection, confusion, conflating, etc. Nothing honest.

That was before I really started posting though.

You may have had thoughts on Nomi's case but you couldn't have stacked it up against me since I really hadn't posted anything yet. You even note in your post you're waiting for me. That was on page 9. I asked you for your thoughts on the matter since then, on page 18. I wasn't asking what you thought about Nomi's case I was asking what you thought about our interactions since I've tuned into the game. Not sure if you're avoiding the subject here or if you really thought your post from page 9 was sufficient.

Cool, if you're around can you explain why you're looking for meta on NB but happy to go ahead with your read on Snow?

NotBob? Because NotBob's play so far has been closed, whereas John Snow's play has been open. I rely far more heavily on in-thread and this-game information with open players.

 

Closed players are ones that don't post often and don't post much when they do, and their reads and opinions are not fully developed or well-explained, or their interactions with other players are not substantial.

 

I can attempt to cold read John Snow, I couldn't begin to cold read a closed player with no personal history between us. Why I had to resort to digging through Nolder's old games given his participation thusfar. And NotBob is also at the top of my research list, given where I stand on him aorn.

 

I can see John's motivations and thought process, that's the difference between an open and closed player. I'm on the extreme end of being an open player. That's why it puzzles me that people want to rely on what they think my meta is. You should be able to read me from game to game, I'm not hiding anything and I'm readily available.

 

Ok, I guess I'm pretty meta reliant which is going to make this game fun as I don't have a lot of meta on people in this game.

 

I can't help you with NB, I don't think I've played with him as mafia and I've only played with him as town in a couple of games. As town his participation varies and I don't have a great success rate reading him.

 

Snow's activity varies as either alignment. He was very involved as mafia in Pokemon, but mostly absent in the Usual Suspects. He had a strong start in Ragnarok as town, then disappeared. I'll need to see his arguments fir a real case to read him as for me his opening is pretty null.
