I am going to do a command override on my paranoia and clear zander cory and dice. Last wolf is either thane or yates.

He needs to let town mislynch twice and lynch two wolves consecutively and hope there arent prs to mess with him.

actually it's one mislynch. I overestimated how many town were left.

 

Elaborating on why I parsed our options into yates and cory or thane and rte:

 

let's assume the lenlo wagon day 2 is clear, implying there are 3 non-town (i.e. wolf or independent) in  yates, cory, thane, rte, and hallia. Let's say we lose no matter what if hallia is town because hallia can't or won't make herself obvious town, so we only can win if hallia is a wolf. In this world 2 in yates, cory, thane and rte are non-town. If yates is a wolf, and cory is not, then what I would have expected day 3 is for Yates to soft push cory, but let me do all the work. If I succeed then Yates and his team wins. However, Yates not only left me alone but protected Cory, and Yates is very opportunistic. It is too much of a stretch to believe he foregoes the possibility of an easy win to play the long game, i.e. bussing Lenlo, RTE, and Hallia.

 

 

Cory and Yates does work very well, since as soon as there's any real pressure on Cory, Yates flips his reads, makes a lazy excuse, and defends his only competent scumbro. Yates goes on to try very hard, throwing hallia under the bus while using my tinfoil on the vig. claim to mislynch RTE at some point in the future. Then Cory asks me who I want to lynch, hoping I respond with RTE, and maybe he can play that up and lynch RTE.

 

Cory and RTE works, sort of, but RTE first pushes Cory, and Cory wants to discredit RTE by suggesting RTE is only pushing Cory because I made a case. (Full disclosure: remembering the interaction off-hand here). IT doesn't seem like w/w.

 

Cory and Thane both being wolves somehow doesn't register, but I don't know why. But if it is exactly Cory and Thane then I don't know. There isn't a lot of evidence for it imo.

 

RTE and Thane works by virtue of having two players there by poe. Despite what I said about Yates and Cory above, individually they aren't so bad.

 

Yates and RTE or Yates and Thane do not work by the argument I laid out for not Yates w and Cory v.

its interesting you thought of this response, but counter claiming a vigilante doesn't work, and there is no one else to cc at the moment.

 

incidentally, i could be wrong and rte is your pal, in which case you wouldn't cc him for the most obvious reason.

The big issue with RTE covering for a mafia vig is just the lateness of the shot. If the mafia have a 1x vig I would have imagined the shot would have happened d1-d2. I doubt a role like "N3 Mafia Vig" exists in this sort of game, That doesn't seem to be Nolder's style and we've had brief chats about game design for a WWE themed game we were going to run at some point.
