Lenlo, my problem right now is I don't believe what you're saying. There's no depth to what you write, so there's nothing to show you believe what you type.

 

Like for zander for instance, do you think he is mafia just because he has tunneled you? because it's been 2 weeks and that's sort of irresponsible.

I still believe that what he has posted hasnt been actual casing. He is using his "gut" as an excuse to hound players and get them lynched cause thats what you people call town Zander. He posts alot and shouts alot and gifs alot to drown out how little actual casing/arguing he has done this game. By tunneling on me since D1, he hasnt had to place a single vote anywhere else or worry about having to push a lynch on anyone else. He is going to be able to coast to D4 without having to do alot of "work" work.

At first Thane was not town cause of a gut read. I didnt take it all that seriously and so didnt push him thinking I could talk with him later to see what happened.

 

I talked with him, real time, didnt get a repeat gut thingy goin on so decided to call the first one a wiff and start from scratch with him as null. 

 

As the game progressed he put in work, he talked with everyone, he didnt choose not to engage/talk to people just cause they pestered him. I liked it.

 

He disagreed with me on Zander, but he didnt just call me scum for it and it warmed my little heart enough to LOCK CLEAR him.

 

As others made themselves clear scum to me and I got a list I decided to move him up from null to town, but not up with Clov and Shad.

Once upon a time, I was getting strung up as scum (well not really, but it was majority dl and most of town was afking and letting BFG win it solo, so 3 votes was enough come EoD), and I saw that one of the three had a pretty bogus reason for voting me, so I decided to go hard at him. Didn't think I'd get people to peel off onto him--wasn't likely, anyway--but I wanted to cast as much derpscum spew on this guy as possible. I was all "when I flip town you WILL avenge me and lynch this obvscum" and the like.


Sure enough, after I flipped scum they strung him up. I wasn't paying much attention at that point but I'm pretty sure they bought my sleazy attempt to spew him town as scum spew.

Turns out he was my partner bussing me. We had a rogue team mate who we didn't know was aligned with us.

My only story is convincing an entire game that, as a symp, since my entire team was dead I turned survivor. I won that game. It was RTE's first game. He might vote me just for reminding him of it

Well this is fine. But have you stopped to think yet why we consider this Zander town Zander? Maybe we're not insane, huh?

I have. What I have heard is mostly, "This is how he acts as town." meta analysis. But I believe that he, and most of the people here, are good enough to replicate their meta sufficiently to fool people. I prefer to go on things on a game by game basis, with very general meta tid bits if I think its relevant.

 

Its entirely possible I have tunneled on him so much at this point, that its coloring everything he does and if so then theres just no chance I ever see him town this game most likely. But I choose to believe that I am actually right and he is scum until a cop view or something proves me wrong.

you talk about it so rationally but you're making an irrational decision. you have to agree that the reason you want zander dead is part of why we want him to live, therefore you know zander's attitude is not abnormal or indicative of mafia. i know I'm not the only to tell you this, but you stick to your tunnel desperately and it is... strange. i think if you really wanted zander dead you would come up with something more than 'well he could still be a wolf despite what you are saying'.

 

Well, yes, he could certainly be a wolf who is bussing you, or in the event you are town, just a wolf, but it's probably not for the reason you're expousing and at some point during the last two weeks you should have informed your read and adapted, which is true regardless of your alignment.

 

To paraphrase, you said 'i have tunneled him all game so it isn't inconsistent cory'. The problem with this mentality is a wolf sometimes sticks with a few core reads, out of indolence or to keep their story straight.  It happens a lot, and it even afflicts experienced wolves who do not mime their town meta perfectly. As an aside, a wolf might flip reads too many times without adequate substantiation but I digress, the problem with tunneling on a few select players is it's just as easy as zander tunneling on you.

I don't know since I don't have an informed read of Z. I am mostly sheeping my town reads, plus I can recognize why they are clearing him from the little I've seen.

I guess I will keep thinking that Zander can be very erroneous, flabbergasting, socialite, but like how Dice tunnels too deep, I won't ever advocate lynching him for his personality. At best I will adapt by noting how forward and aggressive he is as a wolf.

Oh your so kind, though I dont see the point. If I was mafia then suddenly the entire game of me and him becomes wonky.

 

Away from Z then. Will my flip (Scum/Town) affect your read of Hallia? If so, how? I would like this for both btw.

lenlo, i don't see a need for the question. Afaict, I am the only villager who hasn't condemned you, therefore I am not the person you should ask about follow-up reads. This is generally the sort of frame you use on villagers you haven't a firm grasp on, but I am one of the most unanimously read villagers in the game, so certainly I hope you have a good reason to fos me.

 

Fwiw, my read of hallia or zander is not predicated on your alignment. And if i had to say: hallia's hammer looks bad, but I have seen worse, and you and zander are at war, but I've seen this happen between wolves, villagers, and wolves and villagers so idc.
