Music in Star Wars

Still too early to discuss much, but anyone else love the music in the trailer? Fitting that the Force Theme is the prominent sound track for the Force Awakens trailer. Sounds like Williams did a great job, as usual, of applying a well-known theme to a new setting.

Star Wars without John Williams would not be the same. I can't see anybody else doing the soundtracks to be honest. He matches visual with music, and makes the Star Wars experience complete imo

I CAN'T WAIT FOR THIS MOVIEEEEEE.

*breathes*

Yeah, they've been advertising that it's been released in some places in the world. I still have to wait a bit.

Ooh, I haven't seen the trailer yet. Very glad Williams is doing it again! While I love the Star Wars soundtrack, I have three cello students armed with the musoc at the moment, so I can't listen to it for an extended period of time atm XD

Bard Babe, IMO the new trailer is worth watching solely for the music alone. Williams has some neat variations of the Force Theme. While it sure ain't a beautiful horn solo like the first time around, it is another great example of his musical genius.

Possibly one of the best trailers I've seen in a long while, with the combination of the fantastic music and the fact that it didn't give any of the plot away.

I'm starting to get excited now.

1 - Agree that the trailer has amazing music.

2 - Cannot wait to see this movie!! Hubby and I got tickets to see it the Saturday after it comes out - I wouldn't be able to take off the days it comes out due to that being the end of the school semester before break! Luckily, there's a theater about an hour from us that allows you to pick your seats when you buy the tickets so we don't have to worry about that part - makes hubby very happy lol Oh and that's the weekend after his birthday so, I'm all set for getting him a b-day present!

3 - I'm glad most of the story line is still pretty well in mystery with some 'hints' that are probably sending everybody the wrong way!

Lastly - the theater in the same town as us is only showing the movie in 3D - shame on them as not everyone can handle 3D!

Also, I have always and forever will be entertained by the following: http://www.infauxmedia.com/index.htm (Star Wars: The Musical).

I like that too, though I'm a little perplexed as I feel a major plot point is super obvious but not picked up by most. At least not until Duracell had a spoiler in its commercial

My spoiler speculation:

I've thought since the first trailer that Rey, besides being Leia's daughter (and probably Han, but not a given), she will be the next Jedi. Finn meanwhile would be the one transporting the lightsaber, until Rey later is the one to find out she is the one destined to use it.

Based on the Duracell commercial, it does look like Rey will be a force wielder, but it surprised me how many people assumed it would all be Finn.

Hmm, interesting speculation. I've only seen the actual official Star Wars trailers and read some of the theories online - have not seen any other commercials, so maybe that's why I'm still shrouded in mystery lol I do know many are seeing a lot of parallels between #7 and #4, but I think that's only done to apply to the nostalgia of it all! Granted, I think both my husband and I will have to avoid Facebook in the few days between when the movie first premieres and when we are going to see it...
