You were actually towntelling quite a lot for at least half of D1. So you coming out right now and saying you play scummy doesn't align with the way you played initially. But you seemed to gradually trend down by not taking it further than your argument with Shad.

It actually does align bc the lynch of Shad suited me either way. I thought he acted extremely scummy for the first 15 pages or so and pushed him for responses. If he flipped scum i establish my value, which i use to avoid future lynches, or he flips town and I go aww shucks. Well can't win them all.

Especially early game, a wolf can 'act' being seer, seeing he knows who's town and who isn't. Peeks are always correct, and it might draw out the real one (CC'ing). Thank you (and also Nolder). None of that is scummy. That is why its impressive on Clov's part. It is going to genuinely work for at least a phase or two. He wont win off of it, but he drags a lost game out with an impressive scum performance. I really like it.

Content wise they will always say stuff that don't make sense to me. So sure, i could ISO them and pick their posts apart and I'm sure I'll find stuff that make me go huh? Like what Thane just said about AJ's views. Like....why would he poke at someone's seer cover? I don't even know what to say about that. I'm speechless  lmfao  But I've seen him say weirder crap before, so it's not damning one way or the other.

 

Which leaves me with my gut. I'm not feeling it with them. Not town reading them, exactly, but I'm not scum reading them either. It feels to me like they're both being somewhat controversial in their own way. And they don't feel concerned with how it's coming across. I think it's prolly a good sign. Beyond that I don't have much to say. I prolly will try to ISO them later today to get a better idea. So i'll expand more on this if I find anything of note.

Actually what I said is incorrect - they don't expect to be townread.  Most players there don't TRY to be townread.  It's a very different ballgame over there.

 

He's not wrong when he says that some of them are very good players; the key difference is that they've become exceptionally good at what people there accept as the norm.  I'm not going to get into a debate on what's the "best" way to play (I think people know where I stand, and it's such a waste of time).  So I'll just say it's different
