So I come back to get back into my reread, and my body decides now is a good time to get tired...

Ok fine. I have it tabbed up and ready to go when I wake up, at least. Night.

I'm increasingly convinced that Pral may actually be town, after ISOing Mish and Talya (partially).

I don't want to quote your whole ISO, but thank you for that!

I ws expecting 10+ pages of nighttime spam from Yates and and spectators. Glad that wasn't the case.

So.  Very.  Sleepy.

Here's where I'm at as of 9-ish hours before deadline...

Dice: Despite Cory's note about him being aware of his meta and most likely trying to change it, until he has successfully pulled it off well enough to fool me I am going to trust that I can still read him, and I think he's town.
CorKey: Being pretty much universally town read, for good reason.  There are a couple of things that have stuck in my head as potential concerns, but I want to see where things go after D1/N1 before I get into potential tinfoily things.
Tab: Has put forth very good effort D1 and I'm impressed. :)
Lenlo: Has also put forth very good effort and I like what I see.
Sili: I might be getting a better handle on how to read him, although I wouldn't count on it.  Feeling positive about his contributions.

Tina: When she's been available to post I've liked what she's had to say.
Sooh: Slight town read, has seemed like she's making an effort to figure things out.

Mish: Null to slight town read, mostly based on tone.
Snow: I have a hard time resolving Snow's alignment until I know more, or sometimes when he's under pressure. He's getting town read by most others so he's not really a concern for me at the moment.  Null to slight town for now.

Wishleste: Really not sure what to make of them yet. The lack of agreement between them doesn't help.  Straight null.

Ocicat: Has been bouncing around a bit, seeming to follow others' lead with low effort - looking forward to seeing what he comes up with when he finishes ISOing.
Talya: Tried to read her ISO... there were a few posts that struck me as odd, but trying to put into words why I can't quite make sense of my own thoughts, so I'll leave her on the bottom side of null for now.

Pral
Eldrick
Leelou
Verb

There's some weird interplay in my head with these 4, and I don't know if I can explain it all to my own satisfaction right now - just little bits with interactions and reads that makes me concerned.  I do not believe all 4 of them are even remotely mafia together - I'm thinking possibly 2 mafia in this group, although which ones I am bouncing around on.

I'm not 100% sold on Pral being mafia, to be honest, and some of those that have voted him don't appear to understand how he plays.  I think I'd rather vote Verbal, but I could be flat out wrong, and I don't want to be an obstacle.

For now I will [v]Verb[/v], and set my alarm an hour before deadline. If needed to achieve a lynch I am willing to switch to Pral, but it's not my first choice.

There is something in this post that makes me feel uneasy, but I am unable to put my finger on what. Tress has been a complete null for me so far, this places her on null-uncomfortable. I expect more involvement from town Tress. I'll see how that develops on D2.

I actually hate that Pral isn't voting.

Indeed...

[v]Ocicat[/v]

Don't like how he has essentially asked others who he should be voting for, and wants cases presented to him he can "judge" worthiness of his vote on.  That looks like he's just appealing to the more active players (like Cory) and ensuring his votes and actions will go with the flow.  Enough for me on D1.

I liked Verb's post around this time when I got to read them now. Bumps him up to slight townish.

Only caught up to page 67, I won't be able to around more than 15 minutes after I post this. My day started with discovering there was water dripping from the bedroom ceiling, so yeah, fun times. Now I gotta run out the door in an hour and I'm still in my pyjamas with a crows nest on my head XD

If someone can give me a quick recap of what's happened since 67 and what the VC is on that will be awesome.

snip.

This is my problem with Mish and Talya. Placing a 'gut feels' vote on Talya (done by Celeste) caused her to react in a very OMGUSsy manner, which is null, perhaps leaning towards scummy. Celeste tends to hold her cards close to her chest, and is terrible at explaining herself, but she does this kind of thing all the time for reactions. Mish being called out by Celeste, perhaps randomly, panics and reacts in a very OMGUSsy manner, and proceeds to OMGUS Celeste and me, along with Ocicat who defends Celeste.

Why would Mish and Talya react in this way? Why has Celeste been slow at answering their suspicions?

I can't answer the first question, and I can't answer the second fully. But there's a reason why we're in a hydra. Celeste and I are both busy people. Patience, lolz.

HOLD YOUR HORSES. Talk about MASSIVE misrepresenting.

First off, in response to your list-thingy (that was a massive pain to read on mobile btw....) you say I "cleared" you and Cel. I did not. At that point in the game, I had a good feeling about you. I don't clear every player I have a good feeling about (actually I never clear a player completly unless they are Innocent Child). My reads can and will fluctuate wildly D1. I really dislike you trying to portrait it as a scumtell that I change my reads as the game progresses and gets more serious...

I did not mind Celeste asking me directly at the beginning of the game at all. I explained about my timezone and my situations so that those of you who are not used to playing with me would know. I thought it odd she called med out specifically since I said I'd be less active until Monday, but nothing more than that.

I did not start looking at you guys before Tina's post. She made me see how tightly Oci had bound us together, and the more I thought about it, the more it troubled me. So I postrd about it and I voted Oci because he gave me the worst feeling about it. Then I got really, really worried about how you and Celeste just brushed it off something a townie should be worried about, and everything that followed after, and that's why I voted you.

It was not an OMGUS in any way and you trying to portray it as such is REALLY bad and does not make me feel the least bit better about you.

Btw, I thought you also thought Pral was scummy... So why are you subtly nudging his idea that me and Talya are teammates? o.O You can't have it both ways.

(1) Alright, if you want to accuse me of massive misrepresenting, I suppose I can do the same.

Neither of us have quoted posts, and I apologize if that's why you think I'm misrepresenting you.

(2) I don't remember being concerned about Ocicat binding you and himself together. I didn't see that at all. I don't think that Celeste and I brushed it off. We just didn't see it. If anything, I'm more surprised that you didn't address your own idea of binding Ocicat and our hydra together. I don't think it was your original idea, though. I'll actually go and find posts so that we can have some good, solid data instead of this conjectural stuff.

(3) How am I subtly nudging his idea that you and Talya are teammates? If Pral is scummy... uh, that doesn't mean that you and Talya aren't. One gem that Pral said to me last time we were Mafia together, is that he would never put his scum buddies on his town list. Do you see why it isn't a 'having it both ways' now?

I will respond to your other posts after this one. But I have things to say to this one too. I've added numbers so it's easier to see what I'm replying to (I hate that DM has made it so hard to split up quotes now).

1. It's not the fact that you don't quote that is misrepresenting. It's saying things like "Mish being called out by Celeste, perhaps randomly, panics and reacts in a very OMGUSsy manner, and proceeds to OMGUS Celeste and me, along with Ocicat who defends Celeste." when that was CLEARLY not how it went down, as I explained in my post you quoted there. You twist my actions around and present them in a completly different manner than how they actually happened. THAT is misrepresenting.

2. I know you guys didn't notice Oci's actions. I didn't either, before Tina's post. But when I pointed it out specifically, you and Celeste still just brushed it off. Townies should ALWAYS be worried about then it seems a player is trying to tie them to another player. Because there's a big possibility it's a mafia trying to make townies look like a team so they'll get mislynched.

3. One thing is not putting fellow mafias on his town list. But do you really think he would put his whole team (17 players and Loki means it's probably a 3 player mafi team) as him scum reads? It doesn't make sense in the slightest, and you trying to push that angle, especially now that Pral is dead and flipped town, makes you seem very opportunistic. You don't wanna close yourself off from the option of voting someone.

[unvote] [v] pral [/v]

Verb null for me pral more iffy in hurry

I typed this in like 5 seconds while sitting down to eat at my aunts house (I was running around like a madman all day yesterday).

Verb was a solid null for me all D1. Pral had pros and cons for me, but the fact that he completly ignored my response to him about his case to me bothered me, as did the fact that he never placed a vote to begin with. That is why my vote went there.

ODIN, TOWN COP, HAS BEEN LYNCHED

CORY

OMG

Sorry everyone

We listened to you, that was our problem. No need to apologize.

This is beside all my reads and everything, but a personal irk. Don't put the blame on Cory for this, that's just unfair. It required nine votes for a lynch, and it's equal "blame" amongst all the voters. It's just rude to put all the responsibility on one single player.

Caught up 15 minutes ago.

Mini-rant - I don't understand why Pral was so blase about his train knowing his character.  I mean, Odin is one of two "really big deal" characters that if I had I'd figure was going to be someone important.  Character claims not being allowed, if it were me, under the circumstances I'd still have been pushing someone else harder instead of offering to vote myself.  >.<  I can do blase when I'm vanilla town.  Not when I'm arguably the most important character in the pantheon.

In any event, it's a learning experience, yes?

Agreed with this. Also, liking this post. + in my book. So... back to null for you I guess :P

I had big plans of catching up tonight. But between the before mentioned friggin water leaking in our ceiling and finding out today I have an ulcer, I'm in a really shitty mood and I do not trust myself to post.

2-Kitties-Warm-Hugs.jpg

Kiv  That was just adorable, made me smile!

And to all the others who gave messages of support and wellwishes: *big hugs* It means alot :)

And I guess one final stupid thing:

It's going to be awhile before I get to live down the "Cory lynched the Cop d1" bluster I rightfully deserve from some of my jab buddies on this forum and it's going to be a great deal easier to live with if I can respond with "still won tho".

So if you are a villager this game, please just try to put a little extra chutzpah into the game. For me and my stupidity. I make myself look like a fool enough to deal with. Be an obvious villager, wear your alignment with pride, and do what you need to in order to steal a win from a game that's A) hard on the village and B) started very roughly thanks to a bad read by yours truly.

Stop doing that to yourself hon. It wasn't your responsibility. You didn't stand with a gun to everyone's head saying "vote Pral or I shoot". He didn't help his own case when he first got heat. That's on him and on all of us that voted. You are not sole responsible for the outcome of every lynch.

i just had a fun little exercise making a color coded chart of people's reads lists (and/or compiling what reads they have given, if they didn't do a full list).

Very interesting.

It also served as a quick mini-ISO for those who didn't actually do a full list.  This is going to help me quite a bit, I think.

Will you share? Would be interesting to see.

At this point in time I'm standing at:

Towns:

CoryKey

Tina

Lenlo

Dice

Tab

Eld

Nulls:

Verb +

Sili

Tress

Leelou

Talya

Snow -

Sooh -

Scums:

Oci

Wisheste

Snow and Sooh are null- because basically all their posts leave me with nothing. The rest of my null pile give me both good and bad vibes from post to post, but it balances out enough that I can't give a definite read yet (like with the Tress posts I quoted here). I can't put my finger on more than that, so take it with a pinch of salt.

GAH DM dropped this from my quotes.

What a very convenient time to come to this conclusion, after he's already been lynched.

I'm just babbling here (yes, I'm putting off answering Wish' giant posts).

But this part you might wanna pay attention to. It's important babble.

I got a result on a player I did not target last night. This means we have a redirector or a busdriver. I'm not allowed to say what my result was or mention names. But the existence of a role messing with targeting is something everyone must take into consideration.

...so did I.

Eld, that's a brilliant connection. Wether our actual roles are messed up/shuffled around, or just our results, are hard to say from just one night. That'll be easier to figure out D3.

That's what I was thinking. If we get the same type of results tonight, we can safely assume that's our role.

How do you know it got moved? On the first page it says you won't be getting any information in regards to what happened with your.role, such as action failed.

Also don't see how it makes him Dark green town, considering Loki is someone everyone wants dead.

Also with these flips we should reexamine the Pral train at the end. I'll do that when I get done with classes for today.

Because my result isn't who I targeted. And Mish is saying the same thing. I guess theoretically there could be 2 redirectors, but I'm doubtful. Did anyone else get a result that isn't who they targeted?

Posted

Did Kiv tell you directly that it'd a different person? Cause I'm having trouble following this.

First you don't know your role, so how do you know what exactly it it you did?

Second how do you know it's a different person when the first post days you will get no extra info as to what happened with your role?

Posted

His posts on this side feel like they come from a townie. His revelation seemed too eager, natural and #solve to come from mafia.

From OP:

"If your role is one which would normally return a result (Player X is town, Player X visited Player Y, Player X was visited by Player Y, Player X and Player Y are having a torrid affair ... whatever), you will receive that result as usual at the start of the next day, unless another player's action interferes with that.  You will not receive any other notification (no "action failed" or "no effect" etc.)."

So like this: I targeted player A last night. In return from Kiv, I got a result from,  saying something like "player B danced tango with player C". I didn't target B or C, so I know something messed with my actions. See?
