Also, early game Sili came off as really weird to me. It was very different than what I expect from him. The only other time that happened was when he was a cop, but this can't be a similar case, because the cop doesn't know they're a cop. I don't know what to do with this information. I'm glad that he has improved recently, though.

Might be significant. I haven't found CEleste to be particularly 'on the ball' regardless of her alignment. Could be confirmation bias. meh.

I'm willing to put Ocicat between a rock and a hard place, even if he's Celeste's offsite friend (another forum, not IRL).

Ocicat, what would you say that your strategy for this game is? I don't know your meta, because during the only game I played with you, you posted only once. How do you think that you are contributing to this game/being pro town?

Only Pral has been inactive and that's much more a measure of "has the thread been villagery enough to where inactive players are >> rand scum?"

 

And Pral did have one post IIRC that was like a weird-feeling "I'm here" kind of post whereas I've seen him numerous times as a villager drop into the thread, make a weird read and leave as opposed to just trying to say something "light-hearted"

 

Like WITD I remember he wasn't very active but dropped in early, gave an intelligent but personal read on Tina being a villager (which was correct) and then left

My approach in general, simply put: Look for contradictions, logic errors, and slips, point them out, and identify and eliminate scum.

Fine. My process goes like this.

 

Open forum. Read a few posts on the page I am on. Go back to where I was last at. Scan for important content. Comment on relevant things I find. Tone read. Build knowledge on specific players.

 

I did not focus very much on cory or leelou by the time of my first list so I didn't have to read verbal. And besides, all I saw of verbal was short and cute posts. Normally reactions to that sort of content isn't very informative without a flip or two.

I think one of the mistakes players make very often is deciding

"Well, player x is a scummy villager, and he seems scummy, so he's probably a villager!"

 

or

 

"Well, player x is inactive all the time, and he's inactive here, so he's probably not a wolf!"

 

It's obviously not surefire but in general it seems like a mistake to purport a defense of a player for not being villagery because it's their modus operandi because these players still, in fact, rand wolf sometimes

 

Pral has plenty of time to prove me wrong, but if I had three shots he'd be one of them

You misunderstand. I have no doubt you take post count and activity with a grain of salt so I was teasing you.
