Let's break down Ocicat's progress.

1. Comes on around 11:33pm. A bit of fluff.

2.  1 hour later snow jokes about modkilling a player that isn't on the roster.

3. Ocicat is lurking therefore he sees it right away and responds:

I don't know about norms and what's off for people here, but making judgments about that already feels off to me.

PLS LINK ME TO SPEC THREAD KIVAM THANK YOU

MODSMODSMODSMODS

He edited his post. Modkill him.

And I'll assume this is a joke, but kinda aggressive, no?

Vote: John Snow

4. He knows he should engage in the game at this point. Therefore his first game related post is very flaccid and forced. He makes no attempt to read anyone else. He construes an uninformative post as meaningful in order to make content. I insist that there were other posts to pick a part.

5. He goes away/to sleep after making one game related post. He has not been on since. If the above fos directed at snow was in fact a meta-vote, then two questions: 1. why didn't he meta-vote someone over a better reason in the first hour of play; 2, why hasn't he followed up in the last 15 hours?

I have played with Ocicat before and he comes in with points but posts when he has things to say. It's easier to tell his alignment when you put pressure on him.

In regards to number 5, there is a lot to comment on at present.

He possibly doesn't think that it is something he can comment on. It's weird and selective a bit but I agree that he should post more.

@Cory: why was ocicat an easy target?

@Celeste: this is a bit tmi on your part. why are you defending ocicat from fair prosecution? in your mind his lurking is null? but I have fos'd him severely since last night. and in comparison to john snow's post there is definitely a lot else to talk about if he was so inclined.

Trying to understand your points with what I know.

@Celeste - if it's easier to tell his alignment when he's pressured, why would you give him an out right now vs. Putting more pressure on him?

Sometimes I realize what I say after I say it.  I am also trying to read Sili.

uhuh.

From what I conjecture already, OCicat is one who lurks and keeps notes and irregularly comments. When he does comment, it's often tangential or queer.

Because he is a heteroclitic player, according to you, should I conclude he is not be compelled to respond to pressure? And even though he pushed JS over something really minute, does he not find other topics worthy of being noted? Or, if his vote was made to garner a response, why not follow up on said response and continue to engage the thread?

I checked his account. I know he is around.

If he is not responding to pressure how is one supposed to read him based on an inexistent reaction?

How are you going to get a read out of me from this? Suffice to say you aren't thinking critically about Ocicat yet you are trying to correct me on his meta, which does not really contribute anything.

Kinda bummed Kivam posted Loki's wincon. I was gonna ask the thread.

Ask the thread what exactly?

What loki's Wincon would be. The response could have been useful

Ok, here's your response, Sili. You have a case against me, namely, as I understand, that I have made one relevant but terrible post so far. You can lynch me over it, but I can assure you that would be a mistake. Or you can consider that the post in question was simply a regrettable error. You have this idea that I posted for the sake of activity, but have you entertained the idea that maybe I thought I saw something? Or would you still like to punish me for carelessness? I can't fight that, of course. So why didn't I respond and continue to talk? Perhaps because I recognized that line of thought was in error and saw no value in continuing. But, you say, there are plenty other things I could have commented on by now? Well then. I don't see them. Would you want to lynch me for not seeing the same things you say you do? Or if they're so clear to you, why not enlighten me? I will freely admit I wasn't paying enough attention, if you show me there's what I should have seen. Hm?

You're right, it was a terrible post. Not because you were reacting to a joke and mentioned that you believed it to be a joke, but also because aggression tends to be a very lazy reason to suspect someone.

Should I lynch Celeste instead of you? I mean you are playing into her meta of you too cleanly. So either you are a wolf who aims to be fit snug into the excuses you're given, or she is a wolf and knows your alignment.

Can't say. I've noted that she jumped to my defense, but why can't she be town trying to defend town by pointing out what they know of them? You talk about analysis, but I get the feeling you're starting from the assumption that certain actions have scummy reasons. Perhaps we've both simply made mistakes?

Posted

Possibly. Didnt sound like she cared about your alignment though.

I was just bringing up meta. It's weird that you said the bolded though. Why are you saying that?

...Cory...

Well, I'm here, after being drained from extroverting.

A few observations:

Sili seems to get serious way too quickly. That just happened in the last game we were playing in. And you wanna know why? He was distancing from me, who was joke voting.

Possible correlations between Ocicat mistake/joke vote and Sili calling him out on it? Perhaps.

I, for one, don't know how Ocicat plays. I'll defer to Alette when trying to read him, but I prefer to assign null (leaning towards scummy) for anyone I don't know well. Lurking and not posting doesn't seem indicative of alignment, and neither does not knowing who is even playing. I make that mistake a lot. But default: *narrows eyes* Null-scummy until you prove yourselves unblemished.

Areas of confusion: don't get drunk Cory.

Possibilities: Eldrich possible Loki because of his disappointment at Kivam revealing Loki win con on thread-> argument espoused by a few, like John Snow.

Does JS drop the argument because Eldrich is too experienced to make that kind of slip? Hmm. Why the focus on Loki? I would think that scum would be more concerned about eliminating Loki than town, as someone previously mentioned.

^My recap, from what I remember.
