Love that two people I called a wolf have since become omgus votes on me.

Bring it wolves, I'll break you.

I didn't notice this, but interesting connection. My voting you has nothing to do with you pushing me.

Uh, connection?  I called him out twice, didn't like what I saw, explained why and threw a vote out there.  His further posts reaffirm my opinion.  If this is his normal town play, then either his wolf play is super obvious or he's always going to look shady to me.

Shed, you're a wolf too.

1. Feels like you're defending a teammate. And he was digging a hole, that's why I kept questioning him, I wanted to see how far I could go and who would pick it up. For the record, the last I checked, he only had two votes.

2. Sorry about that. I'm really not that hard to read. I'm town and I want to find scum.

3. They were crap votes. Did you read them? Are you referring to my own vote? My first vote was a joke vote, but then he did a thing and I jumped on it. If my vote wasn't already there, I would have moved it over for extra pressure.

The underlined part is true. If day one isn't going, I try to irritate some people. Oops. lol

I'm not going to vote Darthe today unless he does something really stupid; I want to hear from him tomorrow though. He's currently in my null pile.

On a different note, are you sure this is your first game? Do you have a mentor? Who are your mafia teammates?

I dont believe this is his first game

Same.

3) Not referring to your own vote.  You defended Yates and NotBob's opening votes as jokes in the process of pushing Eldrick over opening actions that were also partly in jest.  I used this as an example of some of your arguments that felt weak and subsequently scummy to me on first read.  But I pointed this out in the context of agreeing with Aiel <3 that I need to read past that first impression, because I'm pretty confident you're town.

1) I hope I was defending a teammate.  He's certainly put out more text than most people in this game for us to base our opinions on.  I've stated mine.  And I don't think I was overreacting at two votes, because it's up to four now.

No mentor, but I did read bits and pieces of House of Cards.  You can google Shad and Mafia if it gives you any reassurance, but eh, if no one believes I'm new then I must be doing something right.

[v]talya[/v]

darthe - v

i think alannalynn may be town too, but will need time to mull her slot over.

i don't understand verbal or yates

^ Darthe Sili and Talya are bottom of my list so far.

It honestly looks like you're defending him arbitrarily, because Eldrick doesn't deserve an advocate.

On one hand your reads are naive, but on the other hand you speak, and address people, with a surprising amount of confidence.

By connection I meant between us him calling us wolves and us voting him. Not connection between us specifically.

Interested to see where this goes...

Unvote, vote Eldrick

I'd like to point out how he will vote Darthe if it's a hammer vote, but is jumping on my train at this stage. Something to be aware of.

@eldrick!

3 votes to go.

I'm perfectly fine being the Day 1 lynch for info position. I'd rather we lynch a wolf, but I don't see that happening.

I went to bed last night with Darthe in my headlights, and I woke up to find Eldrick had voted him.  This is going to come back and haunt me if Eldrick does get lynched first and flips wolf (doubtful), but I really dislike Darthe's attitude so far.  Zero engagement, just pops in once in a while to remind us that good little townies will vote Eldrick.

Lol Shad called me wolfy.

That's as lock clear as I can get guys. The dude that outted himself in his Or is trying to redirect.

I think you're trying to establish some sort of "cool guy" persona and sway votes without having to resort to analysis and reason.  You're acting as if the wolves are so obvious that anyone should have it figured out already, hoping people will follow your confident lead to avoid looking stupid for not being as on top of the game as you.  That will ensure one town lynch, and then you change your game, right?

I don't like it at all.

[v]Darthe[/v]

I approve of this message...get him to L-1 and I'll hammer.

just fyi, giving up after not trying isn't villagery. it's a lazy scum tactic most of the time, which is why i am gunning for you even harder now.

Highlights might go hand-in-hand.  Obviously I don't think so, but eh...

I guess I look at it this way. If Eldrick is wolf, he's either really bad at it and the other two wolves aren't offering him any advice or else he thinks he can clear his name by pretending to be so bad that no one will believe he's actually wolf, which would be risky and really quite silly.  I find it much easier to believe that he's just reactionary town who got knocked off balance by a lot of early fire and is taking unaimed shots in return.  (Posts 92 and 148 are my relevant reads here.)

It doesn't really bother me if my other reads are naive right now, because I'm not exactly leading the party here.  I'll toss out the active people I have the most questions about and see how they react.  I'm still really bothered that Darthe wouldn't even humor my accusations, because if we are both town then it's in his vested interest to give me some shred of confidence about him, whether he thinks I'm just a silly noob or not.  A wolf Darthe can more easily blow me off, because he knows no one's going to follow my lead any time soon.  You didn't blow me off, and I like that.  It doesn't say much, but it doesn't make me more suspicious.

How would u know Eldrick is really bad at being a wolf? This is your first game. What makes you think wolves offer each other advice, or make demands of each other?

Darthe is town, I'm 90% sure.

Eldrick is bad at being a wolf, and his town game is full of effort. I can forgive awkward wording, which is why in the initial run-up I didn't rest my weight on his wagon, but he also got defensive, and hasn't read the thread or thought about it actually, as evidenced by his ongoing lack of insight.

Shad is prob getting QT info or is an alt of someone we know Sili.  Either that or he did an obsessive amount of homework to get his language right and figure out some semblence of a meta on a few people.

he's using general knowledge of mafia, not really character-specific meta, which is why i've labeled it naive. because everyone and every team is different.

Sooh – My N0 peek. Obvtown.

Darthe – I'm getting a scum vibe from him. It's mostly a volume tell right now. I can never get a read from him by WHAT he says. It's how much he's saying that's bugging me. He is usually very loud and posting a lot. He isn't here, and that doesn't feel right.

Sili – I'm not used to Sili being so aggressive. Yes it's directed at me, and that skews my judgement. I usually get an easy town read on him, but I'm not this game. It's not a scum read, I just haven't figured him out yet, and that's something.

Laine – She has been pushing me really hard this game. Almost tunnely in this regard. I wouldn't be surprised if she was wolf, but this could also be coming from a villager who thinks they found a wolf, so I'm not sure how to take her yet.

NotBob – I have noticed him distancing from Darthe. If Darthe flips wolf, he is quite possibly another one. Null for now, until more information becomes available.

Shad – While his OP did have a wolfy edge to it, I have liked his game since. Slight town read here.

Yates – Gut read of wolf on him. Haven't figured out why yet.

I haven't gotten a read on anyone else yet.

Because I haven't given up, so you could look at who pushed me. There are likely wolves in that group.

I assume they offer advice because Yates said he's pretty certain they have day chat.  And my argument was not that Eldrick is really bad at being a wolf.  Whatever he is, he started off on a bad foot and is getting progressively worse at it.  That much should be obvious to anyone.  I postulated that this would more likely be defensive and somewhat disinterested town play, because I can't imagine wolf play being this bad if I assume that he has a separate forum with two other wolves to take advice from.

You are saying from experience that Eldrick is bad at being a wolf and good at being town.  That is a much more useful bit of information than I have to work with, and if a majority share that knowledge then he'll be eliminated soon enough.

I definitely agree that he hasn't put much thought into this game yet, and as the only person offering a defense for him I am starting to find that very.... frustrating.  If he flips town, what did I accomplish?  If he flips wolf, I suppose that makes me a prime target.

I got as defensive as anyone would get in the situation. I explained why I did what I did because it was poor wording.

And I have read the thread, and have responded to what was relevant to me. Expecting more from me is ludicrous.

I read the mafiascum wiki and followed House of Cards for a day or two.

Just so you know, his knowledge base is 3 games in a row of me being mafia, followed by a huge game where I was town. Yes, my town game was glaringly different than the past three, but it's still not a great measure to how my town game normally is.
