Regarding Thane-

If he's a villager, I probably look wolfy for defending him.

If he's a wolf, I probably look wolfy for defending him.

He can't be like this all game. Everyone back off of him for a little while, let him get caught up, and then, give him a normal amount of time to deliver.

Once that happens, if you hate his posts, lynch him.

He's an easy, vulnerable, consensus-y target. Do the harder thing and give him the time he needs.

Vote me instead of him if you think this request is coming from a wolfy mindset. I'd like to have that on record anyway.

the thing is Thane isn't trying to catch up, he said as much himself.

I'm good with that.

I'm confident in my ability to recognize other villagers when I think I see them, and I also don't have a problem voicing those opinions. I operate a lot on instinct with a blend of logic. I know that villagers don't always come across articulate or even necessarily make great cases but I am fairly good at noticing tendencies that point towards a genuine and more importantly innocent mindset. An example would be Eldrick. While I only have one game's experience with him I will say at the risk of sounding arrogant that in our last game he was very obviously a wolf. In this one I think he is very obviously not. Another example would be in my most recent game before this I correctly read a fellow villager coming under heat D1 and in turn was nearly lynched because many thought my read was TMI. Turned out I had stopped a bad wagon on the Doc who eventually helped town win. Enough of that though.

Now that we're on the topic of Tayla though, maybe I can invite you into my alternate universe where you can explain to me why out of those who were hounding Krak you picked her as the scummiest.

I guess in me is the vibe that a town hydra is ultra-game solvey, and I wanted a piece of that action because maybe it would help better my read, but of course it's you and monstr. wtf is the point in getting you to share reads from the other when you probably talk about fake reads in scum chat XD

This is all fair enough (except for the part where you insinuate I'm Wolf again :P ) and tbh we were hoping it would work out ultra game-solvey too, but it hasn't worked out that way.

Wish I could explain further at this point but I don't think I technically can so...

All I can offer is if we had shared reads they would've been shared with Town, and that a valid enough explanation for this should be revealed in time.

Regarding Thane, it's true that lynching him won't give us much information, but that really only matters if he's town. Is his level of activity and unwillingness to contribute a sign of him being scum? I think it might be. For now, that's where my vote goes.

[v]Thane[/v]

Eldrick, why highlight Leelou for this same thought process immediately before voting Thane yourself?

Eldrick

The way you talk about Leelou pushing Thane sounds like you find it suspicious or bad.

I don't really understand why you'd follow it in that case?

I didn't say suspicious, only interesting. I happen to agree with Leelou's reasoning, I'm just surprised at how much she's pushing him to contribute. It might be a W/W thing. I know when Leelou and I were scum together, she pushed me pretty hard.

Also, that's where my vote is for the time being. I'm still going over what has happened in the game, what I missed the first time around. There's a good chance I will find someone I'd rather be voting. Seph is a contender.

Noting for later. I don't trust this, need to ISO.

Nah. Just recognizing their abillities.

Okay. They're probably a slot I would need to read in ISO since their posts are so spread out. I remember I felt reasonably good about Monstr at one point when we were discussing Zander being LHF but I don't remember much of him other than that except for what I noted about his and Cass having opposite reads on a few of the same players.

See post to Sili...

Not sure who it was (Alanna) ? I haven't said anything about going after EP. He would top of my town list right now.

As for Krak, I was pointing out to him about EP and Zander not letting him off. Talking of him I was thinking that would the wolfies really allow to blunder like that, that made me think township for a moment, but it went on for a few posts with a few people pointing out to him again and again. I thought it was him making a blunder, being picked up on it in QT and then continuing to fumble as though didn't know what we were talking about

AJ, Im always wary of flattery. At the moment I can see Pizza's logic of what he means, but you weren't that high on the wolfie stake. I can see some logic in your posts too. At some will have to go over your posts.

FYI I won't be on my comp for another 30 hours...off out seeing UB40 and having a bit of fun and staying at a mates house. I will try to keep up on my phone. But not easy.

[v]Krak[/v] for now. I think he's fumble was a little too contrived

For one Eldrick is playing a world's difference than I have seen him before. I wouldn't expect you to know this, but it's an important detail nonetheless. In our last game together I was a villager and he was a wolf and I had him pretty firmly pegged D1. What I like about his posts is that he's being vocal with his ideas but not in a way I feel is intentionally manipulative. I also like that he is showing progression and a willingness to adjust his mindset when someone brings up a valid point contesting his. I didn't see this type of fluidity in his thought process in our last contest together. The interactions between him and Alot are a good example and both strike me as villagery in their discussion.

I actually think I'm seeing more of the previous Eldrick posting style recently, particularly since the drastic change was mentioned.

Let's dance then, Dusty.

Okay but I should warn you; I've seen "Breakin 2: Electric Bugaloo" at least once.

It struck me as careless and kind of sloppy. Like I said, if she was going to use someone else's words to +1 and then vote, I would think she would've chosen the right ones. She basically HAD to correct herself in that situation so I don't think that point really stands. Not all scum are going to be super clean and sharp, and to me my initial reaction was that she legit bumbled trying to jump on an easy wagon. The fact that I had for some reason imagined more votes being on Zander due to the amount he'd been mentioned didn't help.

So paint me a picture. If Tina Scum is hopping on a wagon for bad reasons, why does she HAVE to correct herself? Look at the timing, if nothing else:

She makes her post an vote at 05:15 here.

If you look at that post you will see that she says she likes a post and agrees with a post that makes no sense in context. And that's in a multiquote post. I think the fact this was a multiquote post is why I'm more inclined to believe it was a quote fail/copypasta error than not.

She looks at her post after hitting submit. See's the fail. And less than 2 minutes later says "oops, quoted the wrong Sili post."

And two minutes later she posts her corrected post at 05:20 here.

So some items of note:

1. *IT'S 05:20 IN THE AM!* Who would even be awake at that time as a potential scum partner to tell Tina she messed up? [as it turns out - only Sili and maybe Eldrick]

2. There were ZERO POSTS between her vote post, her oops post, and her correction post. Those three posts were consecutive. It's not like someone responded in thread to apply pressure or direct attention to her weak quote. She quite OBVIOUSLY recognized it on her own.

Could Tina be scum? I guess. But it wont be because she fumbled a Sili quote. And at least you know she wouldn't be with Zander or - likely - Sili.

I think the better indicator for me is post 550. Even if she's ultimately wrong about Zander, that is such a villagery process that I don't know she duplicates that as scum. The only fly in the ointment, here, is something I alluded to earlier. In multiball scum ALSO have to find scum. So I *guess* this could be scum team A Tina following a village process to try to find scum team B Zander - but I don't *think* it is. I just don't.

I am wishing I read this.

No intentional link between the two. I voted him because it was on my mind at the time.

please correct me if I'm wrong but the things he's saying do still make sense on a level right?

like as long as they aren't entirely bs then i'm okay with him.

Heading home.

Back after dinner etc if I can manage it.

Stuck in my head from recent stuff:

Eldrick's looking more wolfy, not sure on AJ/Pizza.

I started at the beginning of the game but ended up skipping ahead before EOD1, not too long after Pizza made his grandious entrance actually. I didn't actually start to follow it in earnest until around the later part of the game when you had the Cop CC battle going on.

Meh. Not as helpful as I was hoping. I feel like this is an easy enough conclusion to arrive at:

-he has similar enough tone and way of making reads to the champions game that i wasn't going to fos him yet.

And I feel like the people in this game that should recognize this fact are you, Pizza, Sili, Cory, Sooh, Seph, Cass, and Tress. Maybe Verb but Verb thought I was scum in that game so I don't think he was actually reading... But that's 7 slots worth of Town reads and two of those seven are voting for me. I'm not sure what to make of that.

I did read a good portion of D1 and most notably the difference I am seeing here is your approach. In the Champs game you can in immediately and threw your vote down on q_q. Fast and furious like.

I don't feel that same sort of pressure here despite you taking notable stances on several players. Which kind of brings me back to your vote on Alot and why I have issue with it.

Interesting.  Considering he said seph was lock scum, and in your quote there he's saying seph is town......I'm confused.

 up to this point your analysis of yates and aj is very weak. your push here is reaching. it reads a lot like mudslinging.

OMG I'M TALKING ABOUT SEPH YOU GOOBER.  Way to fly off the handle on a completely different subject, lol.

Oh. Yeah. Probably. He's obviously not LOCK wolf but probably.

on closer inspection this isn't even a towns read list lol.

furthermore, I'm also realizing both leelou and EP pushed yates for the awkward wording and apparent inconsistency that would have taken place over 2 real life days. And the question wasn't what happened to change the read, but instead 'why aren't you voting your lock wolf that you had as a lock wolf on may 10th' (it at the time being may 12).

^The above is paraphrasing of what verbal asked Yates. By a decent margin his contribution to the pressure on yates is the most conspicuous. He started the bandwagon, and he is an experienced enough player to not do that with bad information and poor logic.

I'm on page 48.

Town!Yates is sitting at his computer and fuming about:

1.  how he messed up the seph situation enough that it got him a ton of heat once I joined the fray

2.  how we're potentially mislynching him due to his own mistake and he's lashing out in response

So much wrong with this post.

Yes, but didn't you also say he was town?

I think only when I mixed him up with Zander as EP's mason buddy?

Dude, why the hell didn't you just answer this the first 20 times I asked you?  Jesus.  I would have unvoted on the spot.  I guess dragging it out might be useful if you die and flip town....but we'll see.

[unvote]

You approached this entire situation wrong. Just wow.
