No, you simply misread what I said. In case you didn't bother reading my other post...

I'm saying that this night is vital in that we need to make sure that no mistakes are made today in who we vote for. Read my other post if you're still confused.

i didnt misread at all, i read in to it was there.

this night (it?) is simply vital no screw up is made

its not misreading its mistyping if anything. which i was clearly only pointing out.

you seem be getting a bit jumpy and quick to defend all of a sudden.

Boyd...I had just written a long speech and voted and you beat me to it....I've been out all night and only just got in...darn.....the one night I go out....

Whether it was a misread or a mistype is not important. You know my intended meaning now. If you want to turn it into something more than that, then just say so.

By the way, don't take anything I say in this game personally. The role-play effects of games like these work extremely well on me.

 the chances of me taking anything seriously are well over 3 standard deviations away from the mean :D

Dark Justice!

You have until night to post or you will be struck down

Okay....We didn't lynch yesterday because we ran out of time...I did write a big spiel....but when I previewed it...the mod had called night so I had to change it. Well I had voted in that thread so will continue from that and vote who I was going to.

Kison it is....sorry nothing personal but we need a lynch today asap....we need to find those evils and I'm hoping you are one...Well that's me done.

We need to vote for someone....we lost two innocents last night and we can't allow it again

Posted

Sheesh... you didn't have to giant text me... now I feel like I got the book thrown at me

But back to the sleuthing... I can't believe you people actually killed the dude...

Something of note here... The dude had voted for Kison before the death, I think someone is trying to set Kison up, I mean no one could be as stupid as to kill the person who had voted for them.

And I think the evil resides somewhere no one would expect it to be... as in loki

Posted

Zy I didn't vote for Kison because the dude is dead...considering the lack of night kills there is so little to go on. He was on the way to being lynched...and was going to vote last night but got in just too late....that's why I'm going for him...at the moment anyway....unless someone can come up with a good reason for someone else.

In a recent game somebody tried to frame me by killing a player who'd been pushing for my lynch - admittedly they spoiled the effect by suggesting in thread that they lynch me, which led me right to them on my reread in the endgame, but I remember having to stamp on that frame job pretty hard. This just leads us to second guessing. It's not that I think Kison is innocent - far from it - just that I'm not counting this as a valid reason to think anybody guilty.

Kison - firstly, I'm a little suspicious about the way you can argue that today is critical and tomorrow could be the endgame, backed up with figures no less, when you then turn around and criticise other people for analysing the game. We're both analysing the game. Or speculating about it if you like. We're just doing it differently.

Our information is indeed sketchy. I don't know for certain that there are conditional roles or a standard 25-50-25 distribution or even roles or distributions at all. Hell, I don't know for certain that there is an evil team. Last night's kill could have been a misguided vigilante for all I know. I'm not even certain what our winning conditions are. Do we all win if we get everybody to say the word "banana" in consecutive posts? You know, now I think about it, I'm not entirely sure.

We could spend all week isolating exactly what we do know. I can sum it up in one word: nothing. This is not a game in which anybody knows anything. I don't know how many teams there are, if there are any, what alignments they have, if there are any, what roles they have, if there are any, or whether this is one giant sadistic joke being perpetrated by the mod. I mean, for all we know, the coroner finder investigations are deliberately inverted.

But I can make a pretty good guess at some stuff. I'm fairly certain that we have at least one evil team and at least one innocent team because the game introduction suggested it. I'm not 100% sure - I can't be sure. But I think that's so. I think the coroner finder reports can be trusted. I think that our roles, if any, work more or less as our role PMs, if any, tell us. I'll take that on faith. I also think that we have some roles - because roles spice up the game, because MsDanya had a weird one and because somebody or something killed the dude last night.

What killed him? I don't know. For all I know he had a conditional role whereupon he exploded when it came to night ... whatever it was last night. I'm going to go out on a limb here and speculate, to use your term, that it was a killing role of some sort. I don't know that. But it seems like a reasonable assumption to make.

Now you can work based off hard facts and hard facts alone if you like. That's fine with me. But I think that sooner or later we have to stop teetering around on the side and just jump in. I think we have an evil team and an innocent team, good roles and evil roles, some kind of circumstance that limits kills, the winning conditions are as you'd expect, the role distribution is reasonably close to normal, and we can make an attempt at modelling the next few days based on what we've already observed.

If you don't think any of this is reliable ... that's fine. But I point out to you that absolutely nothing here is reliable. The mod might be lying. The coroner finder might be lying. the dude might have died because he mentioned that magic word "banana". Personally I think somebody killed him. So I'm going to keep on analysing based on my best read of the situation and I hope people keep it in perspective bearing in mind that we know nothing.

Ahem.

Posted

I'll post a bit later. I may be dead by then, in which case you'll all be in deep trouble seeing as I'm innocent. But no time now.

P.S. I don't take it personally if you vote for me. It's a game.

It's not that I am criticizing you for trying, it's that I disagree with your analysis. I think you're making a few too many assumptions when in reality we do not know many of the things you claim.

Look, I agree there are some things that need to be assumed. I, of course, made assumptions in my post. However, I my view on your analysis is that you assumed too much and threw a number behind it to base everything on. We killed two of the wrong people in the first two days, and now we're faced with so many possibilities we don't know where to begin. However, in light of last night's events, I think we can begin to draw more accurate conclusions.

We're going to have to make some assumptions, of course. But I'd rather we all work together and look at all the possibilities and try to match the events from the game with the most likely game setup, instead of one person going off on a whim and making that decision alone.
