I have a question about 2 books in this series

I have a question which of these would you read first:

Snow: Prologue to Winter's heart

Winter's heart

snow is included in winters heart. it was released before the rest of the book, and when the book came out it included the prologue. so you don't need to read the separate prologue volume first.

The Encyclopaedia site seems to confirm that it was included in the main book.

Edit::  If a fiction I read includes a prologue, I generally always read the prologue before the main part of the book.

similar with epilogues; read them after the main part of the book.

Yeah, isn't Snow just the WH prologue so reading one before the other will just result in your reading the prologue twice! Hehe.

New Spring is the true prologue to the entire series. Siuan, Moirane and Lan all get their introductions twenty years before Eye of the World. All new material although many tidbits are referred to throughout the rest of the books. It fills in many blanks and is well worth reading.

they released the prologue first, while we were waiting for the book to come out.

 

now that all the books are out, it's redundant, but it was a nice teaser at the time.

Ok so it was issued first but you can still read it if you want to right

you can read it if you want. I wouldn't buy it, though, because it is included in the main book. but if you already have it, or are taking it out of the library, sure, read it.

New Spring is the true prologue to the entire series.

"prequel" seems to be a more accurate term.  prologues seem to be 1 chapter long; New Spring has 26 chapters (27 if its Epilogue is counted).
