Yates - entertains 2 scum hypothesis at lylo when several villagers have yet to claim, presumably to prevent locking in Darthe/Eldrick in as scum. Also, he entertains 2x voter when town is planning to clear Leelou in a 'smart' way. Plus, apart from that he's had a pretty soft game too, so likely scum candidate imo.

Knowing how to play and being good at it are two very different things. I'm not good at reading people. I like roles that give hard info. I didn't get one, so I'm trying to figure things out through other people's reasoning. Sorry if that's a bad way to play.

I forgot until my reminder just went off now, but I'm volunteering at work today, so I'll be gone the majority of the day. Might be able to check in after 3:30.

Yea. I don't have a reason to see you as scum. I'm not convinced you're town either though. I guess you're back to null for me.

This is so odd that it begs asking how good a grasp you have of the game. You dont have to pick town null or scum El, you can be leaning or conflicted etc so long as you can explain and validate that opinion on some level. And if its do or die and youve gotta make a choice then you should at least know which way you lean even if you dont reveal that

Oh. Darthe is here. I can follow up now.

I notice you put me in your scum POE for zero reason and ran me up only after confirming I was offline. That seems quite different from your stated opinion on my slot up to that point. I guess you can understand my confusion. Can you tell me how I evolved from Town to scum in your mind? Like, specifically what part of my play makes me scummy?

I'll tell you why this concerns me. Do you recall making this statement?

You haven't played with him enough to know (I don't think) but Yates is like... The perfect mafian.  Case en pointe he just managed to win a game as an outted SK by convincing them that he would work with them and without submitting NK's before the final night.  While he can occasionally be a luke-warm townie he is never anything other than stellar as scum.

Do you feel as though I've been playing as the "perfect mafian" this game? Like, do the kills make sense from a Yatesian perspective, in your opinion?

This is a mess. You need to get a hold of yourself and start making sense. You are the lead wagon and I'm not inclined to do anything to stop it with posts like this.

I'm very tempted to join it.

I don't recall you responding to this?

What bothers me the most is I think you both know that I'd keep Verb in the game to manipulate - as I have done in numerous games [*cough* Discworld *cough*]. So I hope you understand my sadness and confusion.

Do you recall having conversations about how I like to manipulate Verb from our scum chat? Take this excerpt as the most obvious example:

/m44 Of course I do. Just creating a conflict that Verbal can solve and see that I respond reasonably so he has good times feelings about me.

Do you honestly think I'd lynch Verbal on Day 1? This is especially unlikely given he wasn't even a universal Town read, which you know I like to pluck off - contrary to any nonsense Sili stated early this morning. Remember how I think? Stuff like this?

I hate saying this but I think I have to kill Dice tonight if I survive. And he has me as a Town read. He's just too blue not to kill. Everyone will wonder why he isn't dead and that would lead right to me.

Yates - yes, I understand. There are just fewer people from PoE as to who is scum. I mean perfectly honest I'd rather lynch Thane right now over everyone. He's not putting much of any content out. I know he does that normally, but this just seems really off. Also, I don't like that he hasn't really committed to anyone being scum or not. He's wishy washy. I also have bad feelz from Eldrick with his going with whatever lynch candidate there is.

Mostly POE tbh.  You don't really fit much better than anyone else but when I remove Clov and Sili and Leelou from the mix you're the only other player I think would be integral to a scum team and thus is invariate.  The lynch trains being completely townie seems beyond unreasonable so even on that side of things you lose out because in my mind it is you vs clov.  Sure he could be fooling us and I've had that thought a couple of times but it is... unlikely.  The simplest, and most likely explanation, is that there is a wolf on the lynch trains and that you're it.

As for your second question, kills make sense from an "incriminate darthe but keep him alive and let him screw the town" perspective and the only two people devious enough for that here are you and Clov (since you both know me well enough).... Sh!t.

Guys, can we agree that this mafia game has essentially been all about the above sentence?

I'd go there if it didn't seem like Thane wasn't being treated like a cop-out.  "idk who to lynch but this seems easy and could be right" is the approach taken there and that does not win mafia games.

Can you remind me why YOU are confident enough in Sili to remove him from the mix in the first place?

I understand the mechanics of the game. I'm not good at figuring out peoples' motives. I could have sworn sorting people into town, null, scum was part of that, both to figure stuff out, and to show others your perspective.

As for Sili, my reasoning for putting him as town is no longer sound. I went to far to say scum because his recent actions were bugging me. I realized that was wrong of me, and retracted it, ergo the "back to null"

Please explain how this isn't how the game works.
