Didn't care for Darthe's posts either. He's skimming. I feel like he jumped on my wagon without paying much of attention and then when he called out on it he tried to weasel out of it. Pointing out Lily related quotes is completely unrelated and his entire response made zero sense to me. But not in the usual Darthe way. It reeks.

I'm fine with lynching either Zasha or Darthe today. Nether of them is sitting right with me.

If you think I'm misrepping her, feel free to check out the other game and tell me if it seems like she was remotely confused by how "hectic" the first day is on here.

You know I'm way too lazy to do something like that...

Jokes aside, you don't care about how you look and contrary to popular opinion, that isn't great.

Not to be contrary but it does matter to me, just not yet.  I'm not going to attempt to build early game repertoire here because I simply don't have interest in it yet.  I'm not in danger and don't have enough of a grasp on people at the moment to bite into much of anything but I do have the opportunity for other things atm.

We disagree on that one, heh.  You've been caught trying to bangwagon Nyn and referencing your breadcrumb....which was for another player.  Then you're trying to slip away from it and go back into the background.

Yeah, that's not happening.  Explain yourself, or swing.

[v]Darthe[/v]

I'm going to summarize as simply as possible:

I don't think I've ever played with Zasha. Not knowing the player at the epicenter of this brouhaha [note to self - "Brew Ha Ha" is a great name for a brew pub/comedy lounge!] makes comprehending the argument a little more challenging.

I *have* played with Nyn, though, on both sides of the ball. In reading Leelou's summary, I was struck by this statement:

I like that Nyn did some research into the last game Zashara played on DM, she seems to be posting naturally and is not having a problem getting involved in the discussion. Getting a good vibe from her.

Why do you like that, Leelou? I had the opposite reaction, personally. It felt like a potential frame up and isn't sitting right.

I'm going to chime in, here.  Nyn will post some solid ISOs as either alignment, but she'll put obvious research into them when she's town.  When she's scum, you could have written her ISO after a cursory review of the thread.  This is a strong indicator of Nyn being town.

Not sure if I was voting somebody already, and even though I don't need to - force of habit.

Normal.  He wasn't engaged early on when I hydra'd with him, nor was he in the TV game I played with him & Zasha.  He is not a significant D1 contributor.  He plays like I used to - ramping up as time goes on.

I ended up changing this style when I came back from my long hiatus, but Barm still uses it.

TL;DR - null for Barm

I wouldn't argue with that assessment. This isn't ISO content we are discussing, though, it's meta. She's bringing in meta from the one other game they played together. Obviously, one game isn't really strong meta. I'm not sure I've seen Nyn use a one game meta argument as either alignment before but I know I've seen her narrative spin as scum much more than as Town [like - I'm not sure I've seen her narrative spin as Town]. So that's what's got my radar up.

I'd really rather not go into too much more detail until I've seen more discussion but that's where I'm at.

What background? I practically opened myself up to criticism and unsurprisingly people are talking about it.

You didn't do it on purpose, though.  You'll say you did, but we both you it was an accident.  Doesn't make you auto-scum, but you're certainly one of the best leads we've got.

You most likely slipped up when trying to bury a bandwagon vote that could push a lynch through on D1.  Typical scum behavior, so explain to me how I'm wrong.

I'm not talking about meta, though. This is her second game here. She's bringing up an issue with D1 hecticness on the site that she did not mention at all on her first game, where it would have made more sense to come up.  You don't find this odd?

Even if you assume im not just trying to generate discussion its equally lilely (if not moreso) that I was lazy than scummy.

Okay, but if he doesn't actually start to contribute soon, I'm moving my vote back to him.

I dont really find that odd nyn. I cant see how it's telling in any way that points to her alignment

It's telling because she had absolutely no problem with the rythem of DM games on her first game. Now suddenly it is an issue for her? I don't buy it. If her responses to my nudging would have been better I might have felt better about the whole thing but they weren't. So I'm not.

Ok, let's talk about that for a second.  Who is more likely to be lazy in placing a vote or trying to get somebody lynched early on - town or scum?

The answer is scum.  Scum doesn't care who is lynched - any townie will do.  Town cares much more, because they don't want to mislynch - and every townie loves to nab scum on D1.

So your explanation does not help your point - it helps mine.

I tend to agree. I remember back in that game where you two were hydra and I was scum reading you (and eventually vigged you), Barm was pretty annoyed that I expected him to voice his thoughts on thread early on.

Do you see how bold number 2 disproves bold number 1? You claim you aren't talking about meta but then argue that your point is that she did something in her first game but not in this one - which is the definition of meta.

As for finding it odd? I don't know. I'd have to take your word for it because I wasn't in that game [or at least don't remember it] and I'm not going to go back and read a game based on such an insubstantial point in the first place.

My broader point is that I'm wondering what caused this to ping so strongly for you. Can you explain that for me?

No.  One game does not a meta make.  I'm gonna defend Nyn pretty hardcore on this.

Umm. 1st, are we to assume you have a strong Town read on Nyn? And second, while I'm sure "every Townie loves to nab scum on D1" I'm not sure that I agree that every Townie always acts in the best interests of the Town - especially since we are talking about Darthe. I've been in games with in thread actions that allowed anyone to day vig anyone else, for example, with a 25% chance of success. And let's just say that the results were less than stellar from a Town perspective.

Fallacious argument. Without a good grasp of the thread I have little reason to suspect one individual over another meaning that my decision isnt based on who I might eventually decide I wamt to see dead.
