I'm stuck on how convenient this all seems.

If claims aren't convenient then people would never make them.

 

 

More so the leaving the sorcerer bit out and didn't include it until someone (Yates?) said he'd think Merlin would be a sorcerer not a healer. Then you suddenly had two abilities. If it were me, I would have either been completely honest, or claimed sorcerer over healer.

No you weren't, Sili. You were laying out one of those nebulous "could be anything" WIFOM statements that didn't tie you to a specific claim. That was one of those statements you make in every game where you just throw something out there like "I'm going to vig you" when you aren't the vig. The Sorcerer component didn't even come into play until I brought it up during the course of our balance discussion. Then you didn't claim it until after my flavor post when I was wondering why Merlin wasn't a Sorcerer. And it looks super fake because of the timing and - you know - you not even knowing what the Sorcerer role does.

 

There's a fine art to fake claiming. Sometimes you whiff. This was a whiff.

There is a ZERO PERCENT CHANCE Sili's claim isn't fake. You know GD well what a fake claim looks like and I don't believe for a SECOND that you think this is a legit claim.

I dont want to make any wide sweeping statements. Ive messed up enough without that. But if this game is still going after i die then u all need to start reading the thread instead of listening to who is the loudest or what is most convenient. Yates has spent most of the day tunneling me for reasons that are weak and that he let go of but still he tunneled until i claimed and then after my claim. I felt bad enough about messing my role up i claimed the other half npt due to pressure but because of guilt. When i explain myself i am ignored. Yates is not building a compelling case. He is yelling at

 

I havent used sorcerer. There was no way i was claiming false night actions mrs. Clov. That is y i claimed healer.

 

Now u can either wait for bfg to catch up or u can lynch me tonight. The former is smarter.

Which begs the question; why isn't MERLIN a SORCERER??

 

We jumped into this way earlier than I wanted to but let's chat. Remember how I said different mods deal with themes in different ways? ONE way is to randomize roles and PR's completely. The other way - which is what seems to be happening here - is to tie roles and PR's to the stories.

Obviously, Nimue *GAVE* Arthur Excalibur. Fits.

Tristan and Isolde are from a different source but are obviously lovers - like Romeo and Juliette. Fits.

 

Bedivere and Gawaine being Vanilla is unsurprising.

 

Leelou's claim is more believable than yours even if only because Lancelot being Loved fits.

 

And then there's you. You're claiming to be a healer. At MYLO. With protections on people we know weren't targeted. What am I to make of this?

 

You are also assuming that BFG [nee Clov] is Arthur and that Arthur was a Seer. I can think of a couple of other roles that might fit better.

 

At 2:01 yates posts a sizeable post.

Choose one to do a night.

So anyway, yeah, remember this as the point in your lives where you can decide to win a game despite your seer not even knowing he was a seer. Remember that right here, we can still win because scum outed themselves. And hey, what's more! You don't even need to lynch within the mess that is me and yates today. You can lynch Dice and me and yates can settle this at night in an epic battle between forces of good and evil.
