Meg stood in the parking lot of the elementary school, talking to the cherubim.  Her first assignment from the Teacher Blajeny had taken them to Charles Wallace's school. where she had been confronted with not one, but three Mr. Jenkinses.

 

One Mr. Jenkins is more than enough, she thought.  Proginoskes, in his immaterial form at the time, had spoken within her mind, indicating that their task was to discern between the real Mr. Jenkins and the two Echthroi impostors.  She had been wavering between all three of the unpleasant apparitions, when Charles Wallace had given her a reprieve, exiting the school building carrying a large snake that he had brought in to share with his classmates as a pet.  Mr. Jenkins had driven him home, and while they were gone, Meg and Proginoskes had discussed everything Meg knew about Mr. Jenkins in order to help her choose the correct one to Name.

 

The consequences of her choice were critical.  If they failed this test, Proginoskes would be forced either to join the forces of the Echthroi, or to X himself.

 

"Meg, there isn't much time," the cherubim urged as he saw the trio of Mr. Jenkinses approaching. "They're on their way back.  You have to Name one of them."

 

The three approached her, making their final arguments as to why each of them should be the one she Named.  Head spinning, Meg reached within herself to a place beyond sensation, beyond everything that approached feeling.  She looked from one Mr. Jenkins to the other, considering all she knew, and then suddenly she had the answer.  She spoke to each in turn, and then Named the one on the left, completely at peace that she had chosen correctly.

 

The air about the schoolyard was filled with shrieking and howling, and a cold nothingness that could only indicate the presence of the Echthroi.

 

Sili, Echthros - Mafia 1x roleblocker, has been lynched.

i will no longer keep the suspicion list since it is extremely time consuming.... with 200+ posts/day i was always trying to keep up with the list and rereading old posts... so i will just drop that one.... voting pattern list is easy so will do that

Err I suggest that you experiment a little with DM and the way if treats copied posts... Or use codes mode. Or do everything in say word, copy in and check in preview how it shall work.

What planet are we on where he hasn't been maj'd yet, let alone - and this is worse - where anyone is puzzling over what to do here? He's a wolf, he will always flip wolf, his claim is never real, and salami is completely absurd.

Let's say I believe you [and all signs point to you being legit]. And we lynch Sili and he flips scum [90% from my pov].

 

What happens tonight? You get targeted by scum, right? You don't know if we can protect you or not. You are assuming we're an Angel but that's not what I claimed, is it? We could be fully telling the truth in our claim and still be VT. Plus you know we let Cory die so I'm not good at my job if we *are* an Angel/Doc/whatever protective role. So you shouldn't have a ton of confidence in us.

 

Or maybe we just have a limited number of shots and want to buy you as much time as possible...

 

What buys you the most time? In my estimation, forcing Sili to maintain his ruse. How can Sili maintain his ruse if you get killed tonight and flip cop? He can't... So what does that mean for you? It means you get an extra night [at least] to do more investigations. Also, if you get an inno tonight, it means our choice for protection tomorrow [assuming we are a limited shot protective role of some type] is made for us. Clearly, we protect the inno since that's the target scum have to get rid of.

 

In theory, letting Sili live through today and tomorrow is optimal for protections and investigations, imo. Csarmi is totally right on this. What's the down side? It's not like they get an extra kill tonight. Also, don't rule out the possibility of a Town vig outflanking scum and taking care of business tonight. Just saying. That would pretty much be ideal.

If we lynch inside and get it right the cop lives, no mislynch happens and the scum have to do something about the cop. If they have no roleblocker then we get a follow the cop situation if we also have a doc.

 

If we lynch inside and get it wrong we will have mislynched the cop. Potential vigs get a clear target and we have an automatic lynch tomorrow. Scum can kill whoever they want.

 

If we lynch outside then scum can solve our problems by killing the real cop which is strictly better for us than the mislynch (calculate why) or they can shoot outside and we face the same situation tomorrow, probably (but not surely) with extra info.

Tldr.

 

Lynching inside is good if we are really sure.

Lynching outside is good if we aren't sure and we get a good lynch proposition (right now I see none better than the number-neutral Tom lynch which appeals to me BTW).

all kinds of wrong...... u playing around with the idea of roleblock when we now know that sili had that role..... then your first option... if we lynch inside and get it right... well.... if you as a jailkeeper protect sleeper you also role block him... so he will not be able to get any inspection out of it

@Yates - Please tell me that I didn't go mad and the technically correct play here is to lynch outside the claimants (unless absolutely sure which one is lying ofc).

Your play has merit that some people aren't seeing, that's for sure.

Then scum are in a situation where they have to decide if they want to kill the REAL cop and out the fraud OR let the real cop live to investigate another day...

I kind of like it. Just not sure we have a solid target regardless of which is scum. Err?

 

and then still want to get me lynched...

neither yates or csarmi and i have said we have a particular role. Just that we may have roles. but we may not too.

yes but you both are hinting at one particular role (doc)?? right..... i am assuming only one of you can have it in a basic setup???.... so forget us... how are you guys not suspicious of each other??

 

i mean if i was a doctor and someone else claims or even hints at the same role, i would go after him/her...... for me i am looking it as one of sleeper/sili was the cop and the other mafia??... so one of Dice/Yates have to be the doc and the other mafia??
