*shrugs* It read emo, as in unnecessarily emotional, to me. Doesn't have to be raging or spouting all over the thread to be emo, imo.

Pointing this stuff out, regardless of whether or not you want to avoid the "emo" creeping out in games, and shaming people for it only exacerbates situations

If you want to talk about how it pertains to the thread that is absolutely fine

But do it as "Hey, what do you think of this post? Is this genuine from Cory"

Instead of "Cory is being emo, what does that mean?"

Shaming people for their behavior, especially when they're making an effort to be transparent, is what causes these thread blowups and ragequits and etc.

Accept that some people play with their hearts on their sleeve and try to be as stream-of-conscious as possible and that might cause someone to be the robotic and mechanical DM Mafia dreamboat.

You know what gave me hope in Discworld? I started pushing Yates and getting him to get on guard in the middle of Day 1 and we battled a little and it resolved and we came away from it okay. Nobody mocked or shamed us for getting heated and the game went on happy (at least in the thread >.>) and there were no "emo meltdowns" or whatever

Unfortunately in the case of Yates I found it out he was just scum trying to ease the situation whereas as a villager he was probably >>> rand to blow up over it

I'm not sure what you are looking for here?

I apologize if you don't like my choice of words and if it was hurtful - it was not my intention; is never my intention, which I believe you know. I was trying to ask if your statement there was a tell for you or if it was neutral. So, I will retract my original statement and ask:

those of you who have played with Cory as scum, which I never have, is his reaction regarding Verb not liking his joke, a neutral reaction or something more of a tell, in your opinion(s)?

I think Cory is closer to his "annoyed / apathetic villager" range than his "emo meltdown wolf" range

By quite a bit

This is all subconscious stuff in his posting that's difficult to explain but the key difference is how he's frustrated at you for being wrong about him instead of frustrated at you for being right about him

This is perfectly fine

I'm just saying bad things happen when you start flinging the "E" word around

Yeah you're a massive killjoy though

not my fault it went very wrong last time.

At some point you'll have to accept that I'm a villager and when I'm a villager I form village cores and then we poke prod and probe until we find the optimal lynch

Would appreciate if you don't try to deviate from our path because you sense wolfy thread pull. You can still comment but we have equal or even stronger thread pull as a village team and you probably won't be used to it so here's your heads up

I also think this post was just outside of my wolf range

I can't believe I was right about cory being scum so early in the game. I'm good.

I was more impressed when you caught Me/Nyn/Mynd in ABBA

You only got one wolf this time

Hally - Keep Town telling.  I don't care what these jamokes say, this level headed Hally is MUCH easier to read.  Also, carries more thread weight, imo.  This is EXACTLY what I was hoping to see come out of this hydra partnership.  The fact that you aren't fluffing with hearts has not made you come across as ANY less friendly and/or charming.  Keep it up, chica.

I don't think bluffing is going to do anything here

Just be a normal person instead of posturing
