I'm conflicted about Salami because he is just as likely to shoot himself in the leg as town. Our earth logic does not match salami logic. So, I rather go with my more confident scum leans today. ie Clov or Hallia. That's my two cents.

 

Meh.  Clov is null for me.  Hallia is mixed but I might be ok with her as I think if Salami were town, she'd actually be more likely to be scum.

 

That being said, I'm sticking on Salami.  I think he's the scummiest thing going atm and I'd like to figure out his actions with respect to Thane and Hallia.

 

 

Also, it doesn't help that Salami and others seem to be trying to polarize the thread into pro-Wombat vs. anti-Wombat.  Gives me very little choice and muddles some of my reads.

I don't know if it's occurred to anyone, but what wombat and clovdyx are doing is fishing for a wagon. They aren't genuinely concerned with whether csarmi is scum.What they need is a scapegoat to fill a sinking boat, so they're doing their best to exacerbate some sketchy but not altogether unreasonable play for a town.

 

It's absolutely unreasonable play for town.  When "That post I made was a town post!" is the BEST defense you have going for yourself, that's a bad sign.  When you willingly admit to abandoning your own reads to follow sheep somebody else's, it's a bad sign.  When every post you make seems to contradict the way the game has gone....it's a bad sign.

 

The fact you're trying to discredit people for this conclusion looks a lot worse for you than it does for us IMO because I see ZERO reason for reading him as town.  And no, I'm not going to give him the benefit of the doubt because he blew up and self voted after minimal pressure a few hours into the game.  

 

Honestly, about this I'm just seeing a lot of bullheadedness from you two. you generalize and antagonize and capitalize to express your points with pointed and jarring deductions. It's a type of language meant to reduce and convince on emotional grounds rather than empirical ones.

I'm not defending csarmi or anything, but I will say his attitude reminds me of the me who ineffectually defended himself against tom in his first game.

I have almost no idea what you're talking about with regards to me.  I get bullheaded at times, but I rarely argue on emotional grounds.  Clov doesn't seem particularly AtE to me either this game.  He's kinda picking easy targets, but then again it's D1 and you gotta pursue the scummiest stuff early.

 

 

 

 

 

@AJ - I explained that in detail. I wanted to have a better read on Hally myself and it was evident to me (and should be for people who know Hally) that the way Despo been doing it was never gonna work in fact it should have the opposite effect.

You absolutely are defending Csarmi. It's a subtle defense, but it's there.  The bold is a perfect example of you defending him; you're basically reducing our votes as empty and not based off the gameplay. And that's okay - there's nothing wrong about defending somebody you think is town.

 

There is something wrong with defending somebody you don't have any real reason to think is town.  Earlier, you said his play this game has been sketchy if town, but not unreasonable.  I pointed out exactly why I find it unreasonable.  I asked you to point out what has been towntelling, and you give me...what?  It reminds YOU of YOUR first game?  There is literally no reason I should put stock into that.

 

If I'm wrong, I'm wrong, but he's done nothing this game to earn reasonable town credit from me while doing a lot of things to make me think he's NOT playing with a town agenda.  So yes, I'm going to vote him.  If you find that scummy, I don't know what to tell you.
