So let me make this very clear.

I believe that the way Despoo was questioning Hally was probably the best way to kill her WiM and ensure that we can't figure her out.
I believe that it called for me to intervene especially cause i wasn't able to resolve her slot myself at all (explained above).
I believe that Despo suggesting that we should resolve her slot now (can't quote the post but it sounded like he was making an argument of "oh let's lynch her now cause even if she's town...") was scummy.

This lead me to believe that Despo is either being arrogant and not self-aware and wrong (he should know Hally) or he was looking to pysh a mislynch.

I will have to read through again to determine which.

I disagree with this entirely, and I really don't see how you could genuinely reach that conclusion.

If Hallia is town I'd like to know soon so we can move on to a better candidate AND because it's usually not difficult to mislynch her as scum (if she doesn't have a PR claim to bail her out, and even then she's still been lynched before) so I'd rather resolve her slot sooner rather than later

I think it's pretty evident from the bold that he was talking about getting a read on her - not offing her for a flip. Otherwise you're basically saying Despot suggested potentially mislynching her so that she can't be mislynched. 

Yup. He is suggesting that we should mislynch her so that she cant be mislynched (later). Thats the only way i could interpret it.

Salami - my vote on you has to do with how quickly you are changing reads if you are questioned. Example: me. Clov came all in here, said I'm scum and you jumped on it. Nyn was like wtf are you talking about and you quickly unvoted. You look like jumpy scum. I'm definitely not moving it after that whole bit with you hard defending Hallia. Des did nothing wrong that I can see. I love Hallia, but it can get frustrating when she isn't in the game.

What?  How were you NOT?  Des was pressuring her and you very blatantly came in and told him not to do that - that he wasn't helping, and that his approach was bad.  You then said you were whiteknighting her (and literally everybody else).  DEFENDING IS WHITE KNIGHTING MEANS.

 

If you by any chance seriously cant make the difference between me defending Hally (which is not scummy btw) and me trying my best to ensure that she got her wim high and post her mind (which i did achieve actually) i really can't help you.

Playing up his townness rather than demonstrating it.  You coming in and saying defending somebody is not scummy doesn't mean anybody else won't - or shouldn't - view it that way.  If you blindly defend somebody that YOU aren't townreading (and frankly, have little incentive from the town to do so) is always scummy because without towntelling gameplay the only reason you have for defending somebody is if you already know their alignment.  And your interaction with her doesn't scream masons to me.

1) How did you know she wouldn't have?  I'm pretty sure Hallia is experienced enough to know that being directly pressured and just deucing out of the thread isn't towntelling, so if she had ANY interest in this game, I'm pretty confident she would speak her mind

 

2) I'm going to assume you're doing this because you got caught and don't have a valid response to pressure.  You did the same thing earlier when Leelou and Nyn were questioning you for piggybacking off my vote - you simply insisted it was protown, and when that failed, you blew up and voted yourself.

I've been kind of rereading from the point where I stopped posting last night up through today.

 

My villa lean on Despot has been reinforced.

 

I would probably put Leelou more in the green range as well.

 

Wombat is getting better too. I'm actually contemplating a switch to Csarmi atm.

 

I really have no idea why he was acting so obtuse towards Despot irt his defending/intervening/mediating/white knighting whatever you want to call it.

 

I also find it sketchy that he would pull something like that while claiming that Hallia is a null read for him. If she was null I would think he might allow the interactions with Despot to develop to that perhaps he could get a better read himself.

And for those who are wondering why I am suspect on Wombat - the best I can explain is that it's a gut feeling.

 

I typically associate Wombat with a lot of bravado as a villager and I'm not getting that vibe this game. I think THAT is probably the biggest tell. Wombat not being an obvious villager is probably a bad thing imo

 

I doubt I could pull a singular post of his and explain in depth why it's scummy or whatever, it's just the general vibe I get when reading over him. I thought his first few angles were consensus-y irt Thane/Sili after the game started. I do think his progression has gotten better but I have some reservations because Csarmi IS making himself look pretty bad on his own so voting him right now makes 'sense' so to speak.

i was talking about reading personalities. all the gambits tom described are straightforward, while a double wifom takes a little crafting and is counter-intuitive.

about white-knighting... my impression is that you did white knight to defend her 'space', but not back her in asserting she was town. So in a way you didn't defend her in the context of the game like people seemed to think.

this goes both ways you know. saying that wombat reads you really well, if wombat turns up town, you'll need to be investigated/lynched/killed just to confirm you're not scum.
