Tommy

Alanna

NEVER EVER lynch from this group, with the minor footnote that Tommy is of course a wily one so can build town equity where there normally is none, and that Alanna is prob the weakest of my reads here and is mostly due to tone and seeing things looking like a solve mindset from her POV.

Nyn

Verbal

Pretty sure the last scum is one of these two. Both are somewhat associative off of other scum reads, however I think cases could be made for either one. Nyn has done (from what I remember) three iso's this game, and imo they were ALL on townies. Obv this isn't good, however she HAS shown good WIM in said iso's and also followed up on her reads fairly well. Ironic that she criticizes me for being so off base this game when imo she has been wrong a LOT, however her general conviction in her reads leads me to believe her reads are genuine. Verbal has had a very weak presence thus far, which is really kind of bad at this point in the game, old meta OR "new" meta, and yeah the times I've seen others analyze his posts or do iso's on him (Tommy had one earlier in the game) had me nodding my head a lot. Plus, Leelou's townread on him seemed pretty weaksauce, wasn't backed up well at all, and he is one that she would normally focus on big time in trying to develop a read on

Clov

Leelou

Hallia

These three are LOCK SCUM imo. Will give detailed thoughts on each one in next few posts.

So... from what I can find online, a guardian angel is either a full doctor or a weak doctor (the kind that dies if it protects mafia).

I feel vindicated.

[v]Clov[/v]

You are right. I don't know what differentiates a guardian angel from a doc but according to wiki this is a protective role in line with a Doctor.

I'm thinking we lynch/shoot our way through Des's suspect list to victory.

The more the merrier imo.

Where did you find info on Guardian Angels? I searched the MafiaScum wiki and it led me to the Doc page.

Doesn't that tell you all you need to know?

I told you guys so many times that he does that ~never as a townie.

You have no idea how happy that night kill made me, lol. A dorp a glerp a dorky doo!

Admit it. You are 35% happy about being right and 65% happy it was Des who got NKed...

IMO, I wouldn't say it's entirely out of the realm of possibility that a regular Doc could be included alongside a role like that.

Doubt it. I feel like the presence of certain roles discounts the presence of others.

Sorry I was pouty earlier, but I'm really thickheaded sometimes.

No problem. As long as we keep finding and lynching wolves, all is forgiven.

My issue is that if I had to decide who of the two seems 'off' I would say Verbal. But my problem with this is that Leeou is reading him as town. If Leelou is town then she should be reading Verbal correctly. Not saying she couldn't be wrong... but 90% of the time she reads him correctly. If not more. Makes it less likely that she'd be wrong. So, you see my problem?

Do you have a recent game/games in mind where Leelou found Verb scum?

Kind of a toughie considering Leelou has been rolling scum a lot lately and Verbal has been on hiatus. Can't think of a game off the top of my head, sorry... my memory isn't that great. But Leelou will probably be able to give you some reference games. I think in Des' game they were both scum.... and there was the Red Wedding where Leelou was scum was Halli and I think Verbal was also scum with them.... those are the only two games with both of them I remember right now.

So you understand why maybe what I just highlighted in bold may not be as accurate as you think?

Not really, no. Leelou and Verbal have been playing together for years. Just because I don't remember a current reference doesn't make it untrue. I've had many conversation with Leelou and Verbal revolving the way they read each other in games. She reads him considerably quick and really well. He can read her well, but it takes him longer. ie usually more towards D2.

Verbal was talking about developing a read on Lee by D2. Well, we're on N2 and he still doesn't have a read. Which I find kinda meh. And she's been reading him as town since somewhere towards mid-end D1 (if I remember right) but she said she can't really explain it. More of a tone thing. So in my mind the option of Leelou being town and wrong about Verbal is less probable.

Most of the heavy activity in this game has occurred over the weekend, when I'm largely absent.  That has made catchups kinda sucky.  Just finished from this weekend, and I'm now real-time again.  But it makes it difficult to get a read on Leelou.  If you look back at the prior reads I've ever had on her, it all comes from real-time interaction.  So I'm at a disadvantage when the game is this active over the weekend.  DM Mafia is usually pretty quiet then, which works great for me.  This game....not so much.

For the record, I'd say I have a small scum lean on her simply because of her not actively engaging me.  She's spoken about me, but not much to me.

The more the merrier imo.

It tells me I was wrong on Clov and right on Des.

Nah, I don't care anymore.

Is this indicative of a scumClov or a townClov, for those that have played more with him than I have?

Heh. Verbal, who were you going to push today if that NK doesn't happen?

Actually, Leelou.  My above point is accurate.  Possibly you.  You seem to be taking snipe shots whenever the opportunity arises.

Posted

Yeah? Snipe shots?

Here's one point blank: I think it's incredibly disingenuous of you to try to stall Clov pressure by asking about his meta at a point in the game where that's become the least important aspect of his play.

[v]Clov[/v]

The only reason I backed off of him was his claim. So I don't really have anyting further to discuss about him.

Posted

Also, don't you have significant Clov experience? Would you like to answer my question?

I don't recall him ever quitting a game, but the progression from playing D1 to claiming at EOD to falling off the map to getting his claim derailed due to a NK and then declaring he doesn't care about the game speaks volumes.

Did you ask the same about Hallia's meta when she quit the game?

I'm thinking he's scum, you're scum, and Leelou is town. That would perfectly explain how the "Leelou gambit" played out.

That's crap.  I'm not stalling anything - the dude immediately has 3 votes and will likely be today's lynch.  Is it that bad for me to have questions on how he normally handles these situations?  If this is his overwhelming town response, then I'm reluctant.

Posted

When someone claims doc after getting pressured and a flip of someone else confirms essentially that that person has a role equivalent to a doc.... then add to that their initial scumminess, him basically withdrawing from the game after the claim and the fact that he says he doesn't even care about the game anymore... it a spells DUH.

It's not.

When did Hallia quit?  Do you assume "I'm not fighting" equals quitting?  Didn't you post a few times about how you don't even care anymore or whatever?  Are you really going to contradict yourself that hard?

Personally I think his train isn't building fast enough. You don't get a better proof than this short of a cop viewing.

Knew I was right about Clov.
