I'm not saying I disagree with a town-Tom read, but I don't think that's a good reason to develop or reinforce that read.

Wolf Tom is smart enough not to push at a hinted-PR on thread and by pseudo-defending him there he both makes Yates look bad and gives Sili good feels about him.

Leelou

Her L-1 vote on Sili was a scumclaim. I don't CARE how annoying that crap was, as Alanna said it was EXTREMELY easy to ignore. Her putting him at hammer range and then him self-voting soon after, basically locks Leelou in as scum pretty neatly.

However, she has certainly had more questionable things against her. I found her reads list to be incredibly weak (I'll post it later if I have time, but yeah it was weak), I think after getting townread from tone she then disappeared from the thread generally, and speaking of- look at who essentially cleared her. Clov had that wacky tobacky "gambit" with her early on then backed off crazy quick, and also in trying to "pressure" her to see how happy or frustrated she might respond, he could have set her up to be miscleared on tone in the first place. Nyn was also one to clear Leelou early on for this, and while I can KINDA see her theory about Leelou not being as upset if she rolled scum with Verbal, at the end of the day, this is still a theory, and Nyn could have just been a scummate trying to clear a teammate early in the game. Leelou talking up Nyn's towniness sooooooo much also kinda seems odd, but eh I'm getting sidetracked somewhat (this is the Leelou show, not the Leelou/Nyn show)

She along with Hallia and Nyn fell for my AJ trap, and has had really poor thread presence throughout. While this isn't damning in and of itself, since it HAS been a lot more active than she's used to, when she has been here she just has not looked like she's been that interested in solving. Most of the time she's defending herself snarkily or talking smack about Csarmi or something. And then she kept saying she would need more time to read Verb, but when her reads list finally dropped, she just said she hadn't seen any scummy sounding posts from him

Conclusion: My new wow buddies have betrayed me! (Hallia and Leelou, and possibly Verbal)

Meh, sorry for the L-1, but I had already posted earlier I had Sili as a scum lean, I didn't really see any need to not vote. Plus, there were 8 other people voting him before me, so not really all my fault he got lynched.

I actually don't think I've been overly snarky this game. My reads are what they are, can you point out what you don't like? AJ was a bit weird with Wombat in the beginning, he's gotten better since being in the thread and engaged. Yes, this game is far too active for me to handle. Not sure what is up with Clov.  Salami is still in the game and I'm wavering on him, Des. Would you rather I just ignore him completely?

The correct way to read me is to cop or vig me. Barring that, bloodthirstiness, anger at being suspected and a desire to control threadflow and the POE are my biggest wolf tells according to those who claim to read me well like ReddBoiler.

Sa-la-mi. Do you agree that last game you had two strong scumtells:

1) You never got upset, ever, despite the game being very upsetting

2) You fell off the face of the earth after mid-D2

Do you think you're guilty of #2 here?

Do you think #1 could apply to Despot in this game?

I agree on #1.

I disagree on #2. That's more situational. Probably more likely to disappear as acum tho.

As for being guilty of #2 here... I got more busy and the combination of having 200 pages, of the bad Thane lynch and the Silly fest kind of destroyed my WiM.

Mostly the business tho. I will travel to Namur next week and i gotta fiz everything at work before that.

Yes #1 could qpply to Despo here. Not sure if it is a scum tell for him tho.

FTR I'm not calling you a wolf here, I just don't think Salami is using good reason to clear you in that post. Or find it villagery, for that matter.

I've seen you get angry as a townie for being suspected though, so I don't think that's 100% reliable.

Y U LYING BRO

I enjoy lying, as any alignment. But that's still a valid tell... I should rephrase "anger at being suspected" to "trying to bury you for suspecting me"

I'm just blown away that Des never even blinked at the Sili tracker claim shenanigans. Calling people lock wolves for getting @ him is like his bread and butter.

My issue is that if I had to decide who of the two seems 'off' I would say Verbal. But my problem with this is that Leeou is reading him as town. If Leelou is town then she should be reading Verbal correctly. Not saying she couldn't be wrong... but 90% of the time she reads him correctly. If not more. Makes it less likely that she'd be wrong. So, you see my problem?

Do you have a recent game/games in mind where Leelou found Verb scum?

Kind of a toughie considering Leelou has been rolling scum a lot lately and Verbal has been on hiatus. Can't think of a game off the top of my head, sorry... my memory isn't that great. But Leelou will probably be able to give you some reference games. I think in Des' game they were both scum.... and there was the Red Wedding where Leelou was scum was Halli and I think Verbal was also scum with them.... those are the only two games with both of them I remember right now.

So you understand why maybe what I just highlighted in bold may not be as accurate as you think?

I think the big difference here is that Despot was around in real time to react to Sili's 'claim'

He didn't see it until much later after Sili started all the vote shenanigans.

Not really, no. Leelou and Verbal have been playing together for years. Just because I don't remember a current reference doesn't make it untrue. I've had many conversation with Leelou and Verbal revolving the way they read each other in games. She reads him considerably quick and really well. He can read her well, but it takes him longer. ie usually more towards D2.

Verbal was talking about developing a read on Lee by D2. Well, we're on N2 and he still doesn't have a read. Which I find kinda meh. And she's been reading him as town since somewhere towards mid-end D1 (if I remember right) but she said she can't really explain it. More of a tone thing. So in my mind the option of Leelou being town and wrong about Verbal is less probable.

Posted

It's basically why I said earlier that if Verbal gets lynched and flips scum, then Leelou would be a shoe in for a scummate.

Posted

Yeah but if they are scum together or she is scum and he is Town and that's been their history for the last year plus? I don't know. I think you should be relying less on Leelou for your Verb read and more on yourself. That's all I'm saying.

I like some of the Sili analysis that's gone down. Aligns with my thoughts wrt how to treat his actions and how people responded to them.
