What could be the other reasons to attract a lynch? Could he be a bomb or something similar? I have seen it mainly as town before - as I was a similar role in Cory's game - but as scum? Looks to be powerful too.

I really don't know.

I don't feel like Despot is mafia this game even if some of his plays/reads have been bad.

If he's power wolfing right now then hats off - but I just don't feel it in my bones like I normally would. Him not voting his accuser IS weird, but I think he may just be as confused as the rest of us as to what is really going on with Sili.

Then again Sili is probably getting lynched with or without Despot's vote, so I don't think that point holds as much validity as some are applying.

I'm gonna have a tinfoily moment.

If Des and Silli are both scum and Silli is pretending to be controlled.... if we lynch Silli and he flips scum, then it makes Des look really good. Like cop confirmed good. This is another reason why it seemed a bit odd to me how Des reacted. Throwing in a jester option enables the possibility of both getting a pass if the wind blew in that direction (doesn't seem to, though). So at best they both coast through and at worst.... Silli dies, flips scum and clears Des. Kind of a win win situation.

The only problem I have with this is that Des is being town read by most players (including myself). So from this POV, why risk it?

I am not allowed to say.

But Aj might understand. It is not as simple as 2=2.

im sorry i was rude. I just cannot contemplate your collective inaction. if someone tells you they are cop and someone is mafia you lynch them. you do not walk around the subject. you do not merely roll your eyes when the accused says that the accuser is just being an oddity. have you ever seen a townie be nonchalant when told he is guilty and knows the accuser is lying.

ignore the votes. you are focusing on the least important piece of information. i understand it is annoying but it is not the locus of discussion.

Yes.  And I've seen scum fight it tooth and nail, like they genuinely believed the result was being made up.

What I've never seen is a tracker that tells you who your target visited, what they did, and what their alignment is.  Your claim is that Despot targeted Wombat.  Obviously Wombat died, but even if you're telling the truth, that wouldn't have meant Des is a killing role OR that he's scum.  Obviously with Des denying having an action - and you maintaining your claim - one of you is lying so that possibility is meaningless, but you seem to be trying to convince us on a lot of assumptions.

Finally, with this Sili/Des situation and Sili probably might flip scum, I realise that I might be tinfoiling between either Tom or Nyn. I am pretty much locked on Hally and Leelou as scum at this point. Clearly Hally's wagon against Thane disappeared quite quickly and I do see a scum hand there. Not to mention her OMGUS reaction to my scumread on her did not look good. Same with Leelou but her Than vote, her nudges, her playstyle haven't looked great at all.

That means, if Sili or Des end up as scum, most likely former, I am wrong about both Nyn and Tom being scum.

Talking of Sili, I don't think his ninja comment was a slip. More like he is trying to attract a lynch. Not sure why.

I'm not sure what you mean here.  Can you elaborate on this?

I think I've seen an Indy bomb before, but a scum bomb doesn't make much sense.  Town's biggest weapon is the lynch.  By putting a scum bomb in the game, you're penalizing town for actually doing their job (unless mafia is dumb enough to hammer somebody they KNOW is a bomb).  The only role-related reasons I can think of for trying to draw a lynch is a jester role or village idiot requirement.  IIRC, village idiots aren't a thing here and weren't even known until I mentioned it my first game.

Non role reasons?  Trying to derp cleared.  Keeping the attention off somebody else.  Just genuine trolling?

Clov it can be generally accepted that if the Tracker tracks someone to the NK that they committed it.

Considering your Doc claim, Wombat's Cop flip, and my Vig soft-claim - what other role could Despot be *if* Sili is telling the truth here?

It should be considered, but I don't think it should be assumed.  Especially not before the other person has said anything.  He COULD have been a role cop, watcher, roleblocker, redirector, motivator, gift giver, vote thief...probably can come up with more.

When you factor in Des has claimed vanilla, yeah, it's pretty much Sili is full of it or Des is lock!scum.  But I've seen a lot of lynches go badly because a tracker assumes targeting somebody who visited the NK target means that person MUST be the killer.

Even without Despot's claim to not having visited Wombat, you could rule a lot of those possibilities out off the bat.

I won't really get into detail as to why because I don't it's that important considering both of their claims which basically put them in a 1v1 scenario - which actually also goes with what I'm saying about the controller aspect and I hope it's just Sili making up stuff because now we potentially have to go through two village mislynches before the situation is cleared up. At this point I don't think we can afford that either
