Slendy is just like me. He wants credit for catching scum day 1 and isn't letting up. I can't fault you for doing thing that I do.

Meh, SP could be Scum, not denying that.

Just rare that MOST of the prime D1-suspects would actually be Mafia. :D

Still got that FF-filter to go through so I haven't gotten around to properly thinking about him.

I'm WTL Arsis. I'm getting tired of him suspecting me for lack of polish when that's more likely to be town play from me if it means anything at all.

How am I supposed to know it's a town tell from you when I've never seen you as scum before this game and you've always had it when town? Why would I not be suspicious of you? I'm not just going to take your word for it.

He saw something and he ran with it.  At least he's consistent.  You have to admit - that was a pretty funny post, though.

We've played like 4 games together and we were town/town in all of them.

That's Scum!Tom 101 for ya.

Okay, as someone with experience with Tom from outside DM, does Tom seem different to you this game from most games?  It's bothering me and I'm not getting great answers from him.  That could be because he isn't self-aware enough, it could be because he's hiding something, or maybe he's trying something new that I'm not recognizing yet.  I'd really like your opinion on this because it's like an itch I can't scratch.

Just imagine Town!Tom then replace the affiliation in his RolePM to 'Mafia'.

That's Scum!Tom 101 for ya.

Lol there are more differences than that. I'm not gonna list them all for you right now though -- with how insular this mafia community is becoming I'm likely to be scum against you guys in a week.

But suffice to say I feel super town here and don't get how people are scum reading me but whatever. I'll just scold you like a child.

Tsk tsk.

You've scummed with Turin lol

Think back to House Mafia.

Generally he tunnels on Despot - big surprise.

Other than that I think as the game progresses he becomes more quiet

Thanks. I don't recall that game at all. I should read Turin there.

You can't say something like that. Defending him is baaaaaad! :p

Never seen Ithi as scum but her town game is pretty serious. Her pushing the policy thing isn't outside her town range imo but I'm concerned with how she's fallen off the map since

Don't be. Turin said Ithi has to step away from the game for a while. Leave it at that.

The thing is, Tom range is wide. He does change his tactics to be more in accordance with the rest of the lineup, but he also varies stuff due to emotional (sometimes almost flimsy?) reasons.

Monstr is probably the bestest person to turn towards re: Scum!Tom.

I'm taking a bit of a risk here and accepting that were was a certain something in Tom's response to my OP that wouldn't have come from Scum!Tom, not in this Round and not right now.

Plus his narrative has checked out -- he's playing pretty transparently this time.

Plus since his reads seem to have been Very Good, tinfoiling on him at this stage of the game is meaningless and takes away from all the time that we could use to applying pressure/Votes to places where they should be applied.

LOL @ Hally. You might want to read this.

I feel super town here and don't get how people are scum reading me but whatever.

Full disclosure; I'm not actually scum reading you. The problem is that I'm not Town reading you either. I've typically got you figured out in short order. The fact that I'm having trouble in this game is disconcerting. So really I'm trying to reconcile that fact. I've never seen you as scum either, that I recall, so I don't know what scum you looks like. And I do have concerns that this COULD BE scum you.

But mostly I have concerns that others are Town reading you and "lock clearing" you when I don't see a reason for it. You are a polarizing figure. If you are Town I don't expect you to live very long. After you are dead I want to review some of these interactions and see how people arrived at the Tommy!Town read so frivolously.

So there you go. That's one card I was keeping close to my chest for obvious reasons but the chips are already in so I have no problems sharing it.

I was scum with him in the FF game, that sounds feasible

[v] SP [/v]

I just called you scum for budding tommy. Now you do this after tommy defends him with another lie about meta.

So, sorry, you're off my list for now

Tommy/tsb/pral/krak are also people I'd be willing to lynch today.

What list? Do I get in there?

Hally says she thinks they might be right about SP. So she voted him. What's wrong with that?

I'd be willing to follow you and Tommy on a Pral train cause trysting your tone reading skills. Would that make you feel better?

Things that change my behavior:

Mental state. This is a big one, maybe 40%. I can be moody and I can be tired and I garner more scum leans when I'm down. Middle of the week is my nadir period or scummiest period due to low sleep and high work stress.

The effort level of others. 20%. I feel town is strong this game. If I felt town was weaker or there were more slimy soabs causing problems I would take more of a leadership role.

Available information. 20%. It's D1 and most of my scum leans are lurkers. I don't feel supremely confident on any lynch so I am more apt to observe than spearhead. As more info is available I will naturally try to parse it and follow up.

Fatigue. 10%. I gave a lot of damns about the just finished town stomp. I am allowed to relax a bit more especially since I have another hydra head to help.

Role. Vanilla? PR? Makes a difference. About 10%.

So there may be a few noticeable changes within these categories but I'm still town and hope this helps somewhat.

Scum list. Literally the post before this I said she was scum then her voting sp when tommy defended him with fake meta makes her seem townie to me.

@Yates, I didn't want to give my reasoning so when arsis stated he wasn't claiming coffee I was willing to drop it. What made me uneasy about you was that I could see clever.mafia floating an idea and then backing off it in the manner it happened.

As to my asking for people to decisively state they were unwilling to lynch TG why is it bas to get concrete statements about a issue? Just because someone isn't voting said person doesn't.mean they are unwilling to vote that person. My time is limited at present so I won't bother pushing.my case more if it is going to.be ignored. Arsis here is coming off as just wanting all tg talk squashed. That is unsettling also.

It does. I hope you can appreciate why I'm objectively seeing this game as vastly different from previous games we've been in together. I'd also be interested in your response to my previous post. Specifically, are you at all curious about how certain people "arrived" at a Tommy!Town read? Or are you not thinking about it because you know your alignment [and thus the validity] and move on to other things?
Posted

That's not a great response by Tommy. Feeling a stronger lean towards Tommy!scum.

No. Tom has been 96% a villager since page 1

Dice.

Pralaya.

TG.

AJ.

How do you feel about them?

Also Slender/manbat.

Of course you pick 4 of the bottom 5 on the player list when I start at the top.

Dice I'm getting a provisional town feel from - he's not hardcore lurking and is making arguments that have some reasoning to back it up.  I'm fairly good at reading Dice most of the time so I think I'll know pretty soon if he's not.

Pral has all of 1 post, and he hadn't finished reading the game at that point.  I think I need to see what he says after he catches up (which he promised to do tomorrow - today for most of you) to have any clue about him.

TG I think the claim is very plausible, the flavor makes sense and he claimed exactly when he should have under the circumstances.  If he's lying, he's got tremendous guts to draw that much attention right out of the gate.  I haven't done his ISO yet but as of right now I'm leaning toward believing him.

AJ I am leaning town on.  He came in with a bit of bravado but made some solid points and I found myself agreeing with several of them.  Not sure I'm qualified to gut read him accurately - certainly not as good at reading him as I am some others... but I'm still thinking probably town.

Slender I haven't ISO'd yet and I don't remember a darn thing he's posted.  The new migrants all blend in to me right now.  Tommy will be a better judge of him than I am, but I will have to see tomorrow night when I have time to read through his posts.

Manbat I did ISO, and he's struck me as being a bit waffly.  He's doing a lot of agreeing with people, and hopping around (first he wanted to lynch Hallia or Arsis, then Krak, Dice or TSB, then Krak or Arsis) and his read of SickPuppets looking "villagery in a vacuum" kinda disturbs me a bit.  Probably the phrase "in a vacuum" - it's like it shouldn't be taken in context or something.  I've never played with him so I defer to Tommy's assessment of his play for now.  As of several hours ago he was leaning slightly town on Manbat.

Fwiw I just kind of have problems making decisions as a villager so I flip flop around a lot. Generally it gets better towards the end of the game but wattayagannadew

AJ posting as much as he did in such quick succession on p. 47 is actually kind of opposite his scum play from DBZ. He was posting a crapload more really long analysis and really didn't village irt as much as I'd have imagined villager AJ would have, which was actually initially what caused me to suspect him.

In other news I've never seen hallia contribute as much as she has in this game alone in any of the scum games I've ever seen, so I'm pretty sure she's just reached blueread status.

I have negative interest in lynching TG.
