I would love to believe you but I literally just got out of a game where Cory himself said "Hallia is a blue read villager, never lynch her." And she was scum.

 

She herself proves to me exclusively she is town or my vote stays. I mean I'm not self-destructive to the town and I'll switch toward the end of the day if it's obvious that she's town/there are two better wagons with stronger cases but the main point is that I'm not really keen on taking anyone's word for it.

I'll let you know in a while, at work now. Our QT is actually quite empty yet. We got a role PM to communicate at first, then I set up skype (with mods added) and been posting my thoughts on it (and in the role PM) while Hally was at work (she can't check skype from work).

 

Then we chatted when she got home and agreed to do any chatting on skype and post any notes / quick response stuff on the QT (we can check the QT more often).

 

I have no access to skype here but I can paraphrase the stuff in role PM but nothing much happened yet. What would you like to know?

@AJ I agree with you about Ithi's miller discussion but I think it null instead of a town-tell for her.  She could and would do it as either alignment and is good enough to not over-commit this soon.

 

Fair. I would say that you likely have more experience with her than I do, but she does seem rather committed to it imo.

 

Ithi meta is that whensomeone calls her on something she locks herself into it more firmly.  Ya know, just to be stubborn.  Also this kills the Ithi.

There are additional behavioral differences. Scum despot is always playing catchup and rarely tries to lead the thread or argue in real time. Scum Des is much more likely to OMGUS vote an attacker than brush them off like he did here to... someone. Town Des makes much more genuine sounding posts whereas scum Des sounds more corny. Look at the post that Des made about TG that made me and monstr lean town on Des.

 

I don't have the interest in writing a phone post treatise on why townies sound like townies but the key traits are confidence and breadth, sharpness being a combination of the two, you need to have a good handle on the game and an honest perspective to make good sharp points.

To this end, I've been debating doing something in my head for hyper-meta reasons that would truly reinforce this truth. I have to consider all the angles.

 

It's not a stretch at all to think that most players would say Town Cop or Town Doc, etc.

Of course you would. That's my point. If you are a cop or doctor or vig or something like that, the Town modifier distinguishes you from the Scum versions. Miller doesn't have a modifier because it can only be one alignment. The point of that line of questioning is that it struck me as odd that someone would qualify "Miller" with "Town" and I wanted to see the thought process there. It's one of those things where it could be nothing or it could be one of those subtle things scum don't even know they are doing half the time. I've taken note of it and will be looking for more subtle indicators as the game progresses.

Darthe what is Arsis like, usually?

Not incredibly opinionated but firm about them once he forms them, a bit paranoid late game, tries to be clean in his posting but occasionally comes off more as rushed or careless.  Can be unnecessarily aggressive as town or scum but more so as scum.  That's about all that I know of him off the top of my head.

@Slenderman: practically nothing happened, we established communications, set up the QT (it's quite empty yet, except for greetings) and agreed that we'll trust on eanother to take any actions (no waiting for one another) and that we'll let one another know in case we're doing some gambit and/or have some reads to share.

 

I've explained some of my actions/reads on thread (which I'm not going to share here now) and we agreed on a name. Halligeddon won over Hell's Army.

 

Oh, and I told Cory that him going to practice is pro-town.

Turin was NOT interested in pressuring TG for his claim, yet he is trying to act like he was. Ithi DID come in instantly with the vote, but Turin is now trying to take credit for skepticism of the claim that he did not truly express.

This is the problem with hydras. You raise an excellent point, overall. HOWEVER, I was just put in a position where I had to back up the other head of my hydra on a couple of things we maybe weren't 100% in agreement on. And it looked a lot like this.

 

Maybe +0.5 scum points? Slightly more scum than null? With the TOWN Miller thing being another +0.5 I guess they can have 1 scum point.

No it was exactly on sync with the game. Posts just kept flowing, Dice came in and the game kind of ... stopped.

It's definitely =null for someone to say "Town Millers" but I think pointing out the fact that it could be a slip is indicative of a scumhunting mindset that I don't believe most wolves would have.
