There's no real good reason to keep you about.

Glems, this. And several subsequent posts. Given the game I was in just prior with Arsis and how Town wanted to simply lynch him on day one instead of hunting for mafia... why would we make a similar claim? Honestly, the only way for Town to be sure whose side we're on is to lynch us. And that is a waste of day one. Why didn't we just try to draw a NK for tonight, and then claim on Day 2?

 

This is the "as mafia I would never do this" argument. Arsis claimed survivor which is not the same as Miller. The claim gets made so that you get taken off the table as that day's lynch and you never get viewed by a cop. Exactly that is why it is frequently a good thing to lynch Miller claims. 

 

It would not be a waste even if you did flip town. It would be less than ideal, but I still think you guys are mafia. 

 

Why not play it that way? I said that is how I would probably play it. Odd that you say that. (1)

 

 

But the dark chocolate flavor is so smooth. It would be a mod-provided fake claim if TG was scum. Would the scumteam decide to go all-in on that claim ~45 minutes after PMs were sent out and the game began? They couldn't have all been online. Would TG act on his own and make that decision capriciously? I doubt it.

(2) Sure did! I was at work all day. Got home in the evening, looked at the thread and saw that we'd claimed. Then I saw the Hydra QT. Again, I didn't have time to say anything and it was several hours after the fact. So, right now, if TG has a plan, I hope he rolls with it. :) I've got to rework what I think. (Also, it could just be me because I'm semi-new at this and I've never hydra-ed.)

Votes on Dice are premature imo.  He looks like he always does, which is to say open and completely oblivious to his tone.  IthiTurin also look odd but I am not too worried about them yet.  Turin can play a straight game but Ithi stick out more and more over time.  Mainly with her it is illogical arguments compounding and their Hydra thankfully solves the drama of figuring out how much of their buddying is their bond.

I think Turin/ithi are probably town. Ithi is the type of player who I view as having firm Mafia "ethics" so after reading through them a bit more I don't think the policy lynch on the Miller claim comes from a scummy place. I also think Turin is posting pretty well.

 

Other reservations atm are on Arsis and Salami/Hallia.

 

I'll pull some of Salami's early quotes to show what I mean, but I feel like he was paying attention to the thread without really taking a stance one way or the other on the Turillian/TG argument.

Last miller claim was mine. I was town on role madness. I wouldn't lock myself into a role like that as Mafia in my first post but I do know some players who are ballsy enough. I don't think its out of TG's range.

 

Kinda hedgy on his TG read imo. 'I wouldn't personally lock myself in as a role like that as Mafia, but TG might.' Doesn't really come off like he's trying to discern TG's motivation here.

Ithi is probably the best scumhunter on DM (certainly in the top three). Turin is quite good too. Turin did push for MIller lynch in my game too... with that said, they is giving me bad vibes so far with their push. Especially if we add Turin's initial answer to me.

 

 

How do you feel about TG's claim, Turin?

 

I don't feel anything about it. Flavour wise it seems to fit. I am leaning to believe the claim. Not sure how Miller fits in with Standard type mafia set up however.

 

Bolded: Here Salami is stating that he's had prior experience of Turin pushing him with a Miller claim (I'm assuming Turin was town that game, correct me if wrong) which to me would make him think it more aligns with Turin's town game. What I don't like is how he's hedging on evidence that should suggest town!Turin and making it seem bad.

 

What exactly about Turin's initial response did you dislike? Looking at it again, I think his reasoning is pretty good.

The thing with Tom was a joke I don't think there's really any other way I would've responded to that and the fact that TG claimed Miller already is something I need to look into. Also I was complaining about the game being only me and Tom at that current point in time. No activity otherwise.

Also, I'm not annoyed by it. I noticed it. It appears others have since. It sticks out because it looks like someone being alignment sensitive. Town isn't typically all that concerned with being alignment sensitive.

 

I don't really like these posts though and how you're hyper focusing on something I consider pretty insignificant. Sure, others noticed it, but I think this is more semantics than anything. It's not a stretch at all to think that most players would say Town Cop or Town Doc, etc. I don't think it's heavily indicative of anything and your focus on this issue over others bugs me.
