AJ you are kind of giving me sinister vibes as well

I could see you being sneaky scum in this game

I don't really have a reason but I feel some duplicity in the air here, like you're missing certain key points or focusing on the wrong things?

I always get flak for saying I'm bad day 1 and I still always say it because it's true. Dt can poke fun all she wants.

That said des/aj are on a team.

Gimme some reasoning; I'm interested in your last sentence here

Just a gut feeling. Aj is playing things way too neutral to be town. He's trying to save des while not making himself look bad and being in a good position to bus.

That's how it looks to me.

Salami I think you might be scum.

What should I do about that?

Other than that? Consult Hally and BFG they tend to read me fine.

Why did you think I was scum earlier? I still don't understand.

So scum by arbitration? Hmmm

Btw Des, regardless of your alignment:

You can't call me scum for not trying to discern your alignment and then make posts like this:

"Meanwhile you're continuously trying to give yourself an out for changing your mind on me if I "improve"."

You did this to me in Hoof's game too. It makes no sense. You're saying I'm scum if I do and I'm scum if I don't.

Don't do that. It's bad.

You guys are dumb.

I'll be back tomorrow.

I lied about being back tomorrow - you guys are pissing me off so I'm gonna try to reign this stupid Town in before you guys let it go up in flames.

Des is either confirmed VT or scum at this point, I say we leave it at that for now.

In what world does this post make sense to make for a townie?

Why would you point that out?

Because it's obvious that if Des doesn't recognize the flavor Tommy talks about that has been supported by Hallia that he obviously doesn't have a town PR.

Get on my level Salami.

It makes sense in any world but yours, most likely.

Yea but why would you point that out?

Get on my level.

I'm down to Town.

I think we are just focusing on different things, which doesn't make me wrong.

What do you feel that I missed?

Just to be clear: you can't call someone scum for them not being flexible then call them scum for trying to be flexible.

It's absolutely absurd. Who thinks like that?

Someone with an agenda who is trying to discredit their biggest critic.

Scum read the thread too, you know.

It's not a stretch to think that if I came to this conclusion that someone else could as well. Me saying it on thread has no bearing on my alignment.

Well Arsis for one. You missed why Des ended up voting him -- because of the opportunism Des saw him Arsis when Des and I were arguing. I thought you had commented on it so I'm not sure how you missed it. Looked a bit like throwing dirt on Des.

And you are also apparently genuinely concerned with people claiming scum? Like what? Arsis makes weird gags all the time, he's kind of an ass. You don't know this? And even if you didn't how often do you think scum just claims scum anyway?

So I still don't really understand what you were getting worked up about. So it looked fake to me. That's what I saw. Could be wrong

If I say you're scum for not doing something, then you start doing that thing, you think I should give you townie points for it?

That makes no sense to me

I told you why you looked like scum to me. If you then try changing your behavior to get me to change my read on you, you could just be scum trying to cover your tracks

Do you not see that?

Regardless, if I'm not mistaken we aren't really suspecting each other anymore, so meh let's just forget about it and move on to catching scum Tommy. We obviously have a tendency to butt heads at times in mafia games. Won't be the first time won't be the last.

Yes Des; if someone is willing to compromise with you or reconsider their position after a prolonged heated argument, that is null at best, maybe slightly more likely to be town because often scum can't afford to back down from those strong stances (or don't know how to). Townies want to be correct. Scum just want to sound convincing. Do you understand the difference and why those two motivations would make one alignment more willing to compromise than the other?

There are times that scum will back down because they think they're losing face but it's pretty clear I wasn't doing that since I thought I was winning, and handily at that!

To be honest. I'm almost certainly a complete ass.

Also fake claiming scum has a 100%(hyperbole) success rate for catching scum. They just see an opportunity instead of a distraction.

Des - AGAIN - Would you rather me say nothing and have you continue mindlessly harping about him being scum?

1. I wasn't "mindlessly" harping about him being scum. I suspected him, and laid out my reasoning for suspecting him very clearly.

2. Yes, I would have preferred  you say nothing if you thought the only sensible thing TO say there was exposing another town PR

3. IN A PERFECT WORLD, if you truly thought I was wrong in my push on Tommy and wanted to intercede on his behalf, YOU COULD HAVE DONE SO WITHOUT CLAIMING

4. AGAIN- nothing you've actually said on thread confirms for me that Tommy is telling the truth. I have arrived at the conclusion that it's better for now to assume you both are (telling the truth) but you COULD have been wrong, and claimed a PR to help "clear" someone who was actually scum, which is dumb dumb dumb. If you have info that let's you know conclusively that he IS telling the truth, then meh fine whatevs. But I still think it was unnecessary for you to claim there.

ESPECIALLY with one PR already "outed" on D1.

You're right - I did comment on Arsis earlier but I don't remember Des making any particular commentary about it. The vote just seemed to come out of nowhere imo after the spat between you two.

I really don't apply the TWTBAW logic most of the time. Claiming scum is stupid if you're town. I wasn't just talking about him though - notice Thane's response to CS calling him wolfy on the same page. The 'if people could stop claiming scum' thing was more frustration on my part after watching you and Des go at it after I said you were both prob town and then watching you out yourself and then Hallia soft claim in order to vet you. All the while thinking that Des is probably town too.

So now - so far I think town has been pretty dumb this game and I'm a little pissed about that. It wasn't the 'claim' it's the overall progression of the thread that has me bothered.

Saying you were winning doesn't mean you automatically truly thought you were- that could have been scum!Tommy posturing.

And changing behavior slightly in order to try and get someone to change their read on them isn't necessarily backing down, and def not backing down from a strong stance.

I would generally disagree with your premise that town are more likely to compromise than scum. It depends entirely on the player. I know you're wily as scum, so if I suspect you I won't easily change my mind for something like that.

This didn't post before so here we go-

Meh

[v]Arsis[/v]

This is a great vote. I love it.

I guess I'm the only one that worries about power roles. If I were scum with a tracker/watcher tonight I'd watch tommy every night now.

Do people not take into account possible power roles when considering strategy?

This post also looks whyme frymeish

I didn't vote him for the NA speculation. It COULD have been an attempt at getting town cred but regardless that didn't weigh in to my read that much. Looks like preemptive defensiveness to me.

Whyme whatish?

Google is taking too long to link it for you but essentially you're more concerned with why people are suspecting you than actually trying to find scum yourself

Combined with your instigatory comments during the spat between me and Tommy I'm thinking you're scum

The "Oh! You caught me!" just looks like feigned casualness to me

Posted

Des your reasoning for suspecting me never made sense in the first place. It was pure OMGUS. I still think you're more likely to be scum than not based on your early reactions like telling me I was "obfuscating." Wtf man? That's gibberish. I will snap vote if you ever say obfuscating to me again like it's a real thing. And what was with your early leans? Krak was scum? Why? Lenlo was scum? Why? You voted for Hallia while calling me scum and turned my own arguments against me and argued using 100% pure hypocritical political spin? That's a LOT for me to stomach as just fail!town behavior instead of caught scum. A lot.

My rustling of the thread helps coerce reactions out of people if morning else.

Yeah but do you get my point that once you think someone's scum you find a reason to call EVERYTHING they do from that point on scummy? You did the same thing to me in Hoof's game and I was about as pure as I can ever be there. If Cory was still alive he would have town read me easily. So would most other emotive players. I just don't understand how you don't understand when I'm pure and when I'm not.
