No, I was saying if it was a slip and you and Mynd are on the same team, then you would always post with the assumption that Mynd is right (the sticking out your head for a teammate part).  A townie on the other hand would take it with a grain or a mount of salt considering the recent evidence.

 

 

 

Just quickly - if you don't think I take what Mynd says with a grain of salt then you are not reading what I'm writing.

Actually I was playing the reverse linking game before too.  Right now, after a net of all my scum and town reads on you, I think you're town because no scum would go this far out to save an obvious mafia.  There are just somethings that you have said that have pinged me as scum. My net read on you right now is tentatively town though.

Lock!Scum are Red and Clov.  Red has been spewing the worst of the worst mis-logic around the entire thread and Clov has been hiding in plain sight.  Throw RTE and Tsuki as possible scum in there too, but less sure.

 

I highly doubt Dawn is being coached.  Looks more like she is just picking up a few points.

 

As for the Rynd v. Mand thing, Rand trying to game the Mod and call that a case is pure bush league.  C'mon Rand you're better than that.

Get Mynd tomorrow, he'll try to escape with some reference to being insane or something wrong with his reads.  He's been leading up to it for awhile now.  I honestly don't see any possibility where his reads could ahve been wrong if he actually had a nightmare.

No rules about not gaming the mod, that's just a discussion about whether it should be done or not.  As for what I said, all I did was discuss what mods as general would do.  Not bastard mod, and that's pretty much it.  I don't really consider that gaming the mod.  Scary that that's the one thing you picked up on all the discussion we've had, this vote looks a little opportunistic.

Herman saw endless vistas before him. The entire universe stretched in front of his eyes, every planet, star, black hole, galaxy, asteroid and even into other dimensions. The Yellow King had given him knowledge, great knowledge... but he needed more. He had ceased caring about his current situation, or the strangers he was trapped with, or his wife's decapitated head. It was all.... irrelevant. Insignificant before what he had been shown. It was all here! Inside his head! 

 

"I need to say it again...." Herman muttered to himself. "I need to summon the mighty King in Yellow again! If I do, perhaps I can strike a bargain with him, perhaps he will grant me even more knowledge! Even more power!" Steeling himself, Herman said that dread name three times. "Hastur... hastur.... hastur..." Instantly, the room, the light, the very air seemed to darken, and a sickly yellow light began to fill the room. The light grew stronger, and soon a figure began forming in the centre of the floor, and Herman fell to his knees in front of it. The figure solidified, cloaked in yellow, wearing a golden, horned crown, and tentacles of green mist wreathed from beneath his hovering form. It was the King in Yellow.

 

 

"YOU.... SUMMONED ME!?" The figure roared. Herman bowed, and babbled, "M-m-my lord! I pledge myself to you! You are my new god! I have fought your minions for too long, I would become one of them! I would serve you!" Hastur began laughing, a deep, hideous, rolling sound, like thunder.

"IS THAT SO!? HAHAHAHA! YOU ARE TRULY FOOLISH, TO SUMMON ME TWICE. I GIFTED YOU AT FIRST, BECAUSE YOUR FUMBLING AMUSED ME, BUT NOW YOU PRESUME TO TREAT ME AS A SERVANT!? TO CALL AND DISMISS ME AT WILL!? I AM A GOD! YOUR ARROGANCE... WILL BE YOUR UNDOING."

 

Hastur grew in size, filling the room with yellow and green light, his cloak spreading out into the corners, as Herman gibbered for mercy and apologised profusely as he heard running footsteps coming towards the room down the hallway. "I'm sorry! I didn't mean it! I just wanted more! Please! No, don't hurt me!" Hastur just laughed evilly, as tendrils of his robes began sneaking towards Herman, encircling him completely. "No! Please! NOOOOOOO!" Hastur's robe covered Herman, despite his protests and flailing. His screams grew muffled, and quieted completely. With a flourish, Hastur, his light and his cloak vanished. When Spade and the other detectives burst in, there was a large scorch mark on the floor, in the shape of the Yellow Sign. Herman was nowhere to be seen.

 

 

 

ReleaseTheEvil, Vanilla Town, has been killed by Hastur for summoning him twice!

THAT'S A LYNCH

 

 

Spade closed the door, shaking his head in disgust. How desperate had they become, to risk everything by daring to name the Unspeakable one? It was madness.

 

Turning to the others, Spade saw them arguing, one of them screaming that another was lying. "He is lying! I am a loyal fighter against these evil beings! I am on the side of humanity!" Randall cried.

"No, he is the liar! I told you, I received a vision, you are a servant of evil!"

They had been arguing like that for the last few hours. Some had joined one side, others the other, but no consensus had been reached. "Ok, now who believes me?" The man who claimed to receive a vision asked. Several hands went up. "And who believes me? He is lying, he must be a cultist!" A similar amount of hand were raised. They were at an impasse.

 

The argument resumed, and suddenly a gunshot rang out, and Randall flew backwards. The room fell dead silent. They looked and saw that a female investigator was holding a smoking gun, like several of them had been, with a surprised expression on her face. "I... I was just.... Oh my...." She backed away, and holstered her gun. 

"Well," Spade said with a grimace. "That settles that, then."
