Currently, my top suspects for scum are:

1. Hallia for her all-around confusing gameplay and random votes

2. Darthe for defending me non-stop...it seems he is trying to make it look like if one of us it scum, we both are. Also his fights with Despo look like they are trying to make it seem like distancing.

3. Despo - see the reason for Darthe.

I think Laya, Clov, and Tommy, and Tina are all town. Not sure about the rest of the players.

>.> wat.

Ofc You think Tina is town, SHE JUST FLIPPED IT! Also your list just happens to contain 2 claimed PRs and a suspected PR. Mhmmm. I don't like this list.

Also your going to end up flipping scum and I'm going to hate you for it, cause you've gotten to be scum so much in the past few games and I haven't. ;_;

And it's not my fault I've been scum in the last 2 games...it's the mod's.

And Tommy isn't town.

You don't know that.

But I am.

Do you really expect me to believe every town claim?

Null read on Verbal.

It's cute that two players who are smack dab in the middle of the gray zone are suddenly convinced I'm scum. One, Pral, hasn't even interacted with me since I said he sounded like a townie; the other, Verb, has a pretty goofy "ah, Tommy finally slipped" lead-in to a non-case about me trying to get Hallia to respond to dissenters so her role is easier to determine.

Verb, why is it you were unable to articulate a case on me other than I am "going with the flow" on a fairly insignificant event but ignored my other 200 posts? I'm sure you can find some more dirt in there.

Pral, I don't understand your case on me either. You think I'm scum for leading or manipulating votes? That's completely null, when I think I'm right I want other people to join me and get stuff done.

I want to see more from both of you if you're going to come at me. This looks like a coordinated smear campaign and the timing couldn't be more suspicious given that all three of us are in the danger zone; yet here I am being ganged up on for pushing a lynch through that you wanted, Verb, and that you were absent for, Pral.

Not good.

I'm still willing to give you both a chance to elaborate or continue to develop your stance on me (and preferably on others as well) so I can judge your approach and decide if this is town-town violence or not. Given the circumstances, it could be, but given the POE, it's still more likely that you're both scum and running out of mislynch candidates and I look juiciest at the moment.

Do try to convince me otherwise... or I'll be taking you both down tomorrow. XD

That is not how it happened or looked like. I have quoted the exact posts which pinged out hard and there are more posts out there which clearly shows you trying to lead the town hard. Initially you had a town read on Tina, but went hard at Dice because you "thought" he was scum. And, when he revealed his role you conveniently shifted the focus to Tina, whom you had a town read. Getting stuff done is not revealing half the town roles and lynching an important claimed role.

That's not what happened. At the time, my town read on Tina was a corollary to my scum reads on Dice and Hallia because Tina was making the same observation I had regarding their strange interaction. After I noted that, Hallia "cleared" Tina and I assumed it was a cop viewing or something similar so I pushed Dice. Once Dice claimed Doc in the last 80 minutes or so of day, we had the choice to YOLO onto Tina or onto Verb. When Hallia made it clear she had NOT cop peeked Tina, and when it appeared Dice was not scum, it looked like Tina had been softballing in a mislynch on Dice, and everyone present in the thread at the time had stated at some point that they found Tina scummy or didn't buy her claim, so I asked her if she revealed her target before or after Cory's death, it was after, so I figured that made the chances of a fake claim higher. I went with it. I regret she was town but I don't regret my decision, and others voted her as well, so I don't think blaming me solely for that event is justified considering she's been called scummy for days even before I started playing. Maybe we should have YOLO'd onto Verb instead, but at the time he was passing my tone test, as did you earlier, which is why I'm giving you both the chance to back away and realize I'm not scum before I counterattack.

So: myth busted. What else you got?

Push Dice - is almost definitely town

Push Tina - turned out to be town

Push verb - most likely to be town, imo

See the pattern? This was what I predicted when I was having the stance of no-lynch. More often than not, the town will be manipulated easily during rush lynches and that is exactly what happened in the last 80 minutes.

And, no I am not laying any blame on you. I am just pointing out instances where I didn't see your moves as pro-town. And, it wasn't just you I talk about, if you read my earlier post. It was definitely impossible for you to lead the town astray alone. I think there were others who helped you and I have some idea who.

You're being extremely results oriented. Yes, Tina was town and Dice claimed Doc. Verb could be scum but I've had reasonable doubt on that topic so far; he's a string candidate by POE but his communication with me yesterday gives me pause because I lack meta knowledge of him. His push on me today was weak, even weaker than yours.

How can you not be laying blame on me while declaring me your top scum candidate (which seemingly came out of nowhere)?

Who are my teammates in your mind?

Tom, I'm not attacking or "pushing" on you.  If I do, you'll know it.

I'm calling out the scumtell as I see it.  You didn't show any slips before that.  The way you're treating the Tina mislynch, combined with how you're treating the Hallia questioning from Lenlo after you had just said you liked it......was a huge ping for me.

You don't agree with it.  That's cool.  It is not substantial yet - I know this.  That's why I'm not pushing you.  As I said, you'll know when that happens.  But you've assumed the Town Leader role, and I need to ensure you're legit (aka town).  I'm not sold on this - I was, but your above posts are now making me reconsider.

Also, tone tests this far into a game are garbage.  You tone test early on (like D1) - after that, they are easily mistaken due to many factors (annoyance at mistakes, arguments, coroner reports, etc.).

You wanna be leader? Wrestle you for it.

I found your commentary on me to be quite the soft push. I would call it fearmongering. You then agreed with Pral's list that has me as top scum. Now you're saying you're not sure. Yesterday I said you're obfuscating your stances and you said something pithy like "good."

I want to see you get dirty, particularly if you think we need a different leader. Have at it.

Yes, I did want her lynch early on, relented to allow the planned night action confirmation, and then hammered because I didn't want the town punished.  Notice how I literally waited until the last minute?

Also, remember how I was showing obvious reluctance when you started talking about how excited I must be about her lynch being clear?  Remember my reply?  Part of that hesitation was due to your apparent eagerness, and how you assumed I would share it.

Translation:  you knew she'd flip town, and you were trying to set me up as tomorrow's mislynch as a result.

I like you for a high potential to be mafia, yes.  But if I'm wrong, then I like you as the town leader based on what I've seen.  You'd be willing to accept the ebb and flow of changing reads.  If scum, you've played an excellent game thus far.

So I want to know for sure I can trust you.....and you can obviously tell I'm far from that right now.

Agree to disagree then. I'm not big on playing around claims. My main focus is looking for people that appear genuine or look like they're lying. Tone is a blanket term for whether someone sounds like they believe what they're saying, and it plays a huge part in reads.

You saw the lynch you had parked on (but didn't expect to take off) for most of the game was about to finally happen and you got scared of being part of a wagon you knew would flip town... then you pinned it on me.

See how easy it is to spin?

Then why have you, on multiple occasions, suggested we "look at those who haven't claimed" or "discuss those without claims"?

Oh hi Clov. Thanks for joining the party. This is a dumb question, even by your typical nitpicking standards.

So I point out a perfectly reasonable discrepancy with something you say, and your reply is to criticize me?  Looks like it wasn't a dumb question at all - it did exactly what it was intended to do: prove you're full of it.  If "tone" implies actually believing what you say, as you just explained, I guess you're tone deaf this game.

Posted

That escalated quickly. Dare I say B.S.ily.

There's no discrepancy. Critical analysis is a supplement to tone reading until maybe a must lynch situation at which time I would agree with Verb that it should be prioritized. Due to time constraints I play most games on my phone now which is how you end up with "Tommy is going with the flow!" sentiments.

You're basically asking me why I would EVER be analytical, as if that's some gotcha in a mafia game. FOS on you for making mountains out of majestic molehills.

Tell me more about how I'm full of it though, that should be fun.

Posted

@Tommy, who are your middling reads and can you explain them?

This is probably the fifth time I'll have talked about this in 18 hours. Ask me again after the NK and I'll try to make more "critical" analysis with the remaining plebes, he said not at all sarcastically and with zero spite in his voice.
