From early reading I think the following have really good tone:

I know this contrasts with my current Lenlo read, so I'll be updating that.

The reason why I voted Jack was because I knew he wouldn´t keep quiet regardless if he is town or mafia. We needed something to happen. Now, the only thing that did happen was a discussion about whyfry. lol I should have known that not much else would happen during the weekend. 

 

Jack - did what I thought he would. No indication of alignment.

Des - jumped on the opportunity to get the game started. Then he manage to contradict himself, which is why Darthe voted him (I believe). If this was a few months ago I would have voted Des but I´m getting used to his weird, aggressive openings as town so I will just watch him. 

Darthe - his vote on Des is interesting. He is also used to how Des starts games but he think it´s scummy this time.

He has just posted once since my vote on Jack, when he questioned my post. I believe he has been on DM since then. Why won´t he comment on anything?

Salami is such a lazy vote, Tina. I agree he looked disinterested, likely why he subbed out, but he was town. I SUS THEE.

 

But the red part is what interests me more. If Tina ends up being mafia we need to look into this statement again.

Alright now Tina shows up. Doesnt give any reads on any of the main contenders in that scuffle, straddles the fence and then trys to move it to someone who would, most likely imo, be an easier lynch than Jack.

I quoted the VC because early wagons are always fun to think about. Often scum are reluctant to vote early, so they'll either join existing wagons or not vote. I see Dice is still disconnected by this point, did he claim something that's lock clearing?

I slept on his claim, and I don't buy his story. 

 

1) Three questions, per night?  If it was three questions for the game, maybe, but the breakability of the role is through the roof.  If Leelou put that in, she should be ashamed.

2) Safe questions.  Nobody is going to come in and say, "Oh he's lying.  I'm the serial killer."

3) Honestly, if his questions are real, they make more sense for scum.  Town doesn't really need to know if there are vanilla roles.  A mafia oracle would give his team a safe fake claim if it came up yes, and if it came back no, they don't have to be AS choosy with figuring out a nightkill target.

 

Tina wouldn't be in my bottom four at this point.

 

Good reasons, but I'm thinking of the flavor of what character this fits.....and if I'm right, that character is 100% town.

Those are pretty much the exact issues I have with the claim as well.

Blech I hate flavorspeccing sooooo much. So easy to make a huge mistake and derail what could be a scum lynch, or push a mislynch through (kinda like Dice not buying that I was Winter Celchu in SW game)

 

And what I mean by that is Darthe's claim might not be completely true - so naming the role as he did might not technically be the proper question.

 

While this role seems powerful, I can see it tripping over itself pretty easily if the right questions are not asked with the proper phrasing.  Perhaps I'm getting too wrapped up in the details, though.

 

Verbal beat me to the punch here. We don't necessarily have confirmation Darthe is a Vote Thief, he could be a Vote Blocker or something else like that. I think Lenlo's phrasing was much better.

 

 

Alice or the girl who was played by Dakota fanning. Thats my issue.

 

That girl caused physical pain to people, though.  No Oracle-like powers.

 

 

Again, flavorspeccing is dangerous ground, as it's obv gaming the mod. You don't know that Leelou made Alice an Oracle because she has oracle-like powers. She could have made Alice a Tracker or some other role because of some obscure event in the story.

 

Those are good Len questions IMO.  

 

Mafia can't RB both him and Des and Tina so at least one of them is going to be verified tonight.

 

@Tina, tell me where I go and I will confirm your role tonight.  

 

@Des, kill someone and the mafia kill someone at the same time and that will confirm your role

 

@Len, you're prob confirmed by your likely character (though i still feel that there are multiple people who have foresight, ima check that out) but your info will confirm everything about you as well.

 

Then Town is setup with a core of four and we can move forward.

So earlier when I was sort of skimming through, I thought a CFD on Dice might be a good idea.

 

After going back through, not sure about that. But there is def some murkiness going on.

 

Way I see it, we lynch Lenlo cause his roleclaim just looks extremely sketchy

We CFD on someone who hasn't claimed or in the LOCK CLEAR club (like Dawn or Hallia or Dice or something)

We No Lynch, and see how many can be vetted through NA's

@Des - you are right that flavorspeccing is bad. I admitted that, and said we shouldn't rely on it......but you have to admit that it is difficult to completely avoid in this type of setup.

 

I'm not 100% trusting, but testing and then lynch-to-confirm is a plausible idea to, as you're fond of saying, #solve the game.

I don't see how No Lynch is even on the table at this point.  IMO everybody has to vote one of two people

 

1) the person who's claim they find most unrealistic, OR'

2) if they believe all three, the person who they feel has been the scummiest this game.

 

This has a much better chance of netting scum than simply lynching inactives, and it gives us more to build off for the coming night and day.
