I have a question for you Darthe. Could you explain your linking scenario a little more for me? You're voting Straw Hats, I believe... but also putting down RTE's reads post as a psy-scum tell.

How does me pointing out your statement towards RTE make me scum with Straw Hats (if they are scum) and RTL more likely to be town?

 

So here's where AJ first soft defends SH by pointing out that Darthe is voting alongside RTL, another scum read of his.

 

Now, AJ makes this point on D1, a horrible time to be pointing something like this out. Darthe responded accordingly, and basically said he knew he could be wrong on reads, especially early in the game, so he tends not to weigh associative tells too heavily. Perfect answer, as this is the mindset any solid scumhunter should have in the early goings of a game.

Again, early on associative tells are weak. So him also suspecting the same people you do should NEVER clear him on D1. The "outlier as town with voting" thing is just bad. There's nothing you can do to convince me you would go from scumlean to town for that kind of reasoning.

 

Something else to note is how AJ likes Pray for pushing the SS girls...

AJ slides SS to scum because he says they're voting along with a scumread of theirs... on D1, when townie's reads are most likely to jump back and forth a lot. Again, this is piss poor thinking for any scumhunter worth their salt. AJ isn't this bad.

After catching up I find it oddly amusing that Amega and the new guy are the leading wagon on D1. I don't think we're paying enough attention to who is voting who and why.

 

AJ stresses again that he finds the voting patterns odd, makes it seem like more people should be seeing that Straw Hats aren't scum because everyone is voting along with their scumreads on D1.

Now, I could have quoted like 8-9 other examples of AJ either hard or soft defending Straw Hats to help supplement this, but yeah honestly everyone needs to go back and read AJ's iso. Then come back and tell me what you think about how AJ defended SH, and if it seemed like he had good reasons too, or was instead overly concerned with helping a teammate stay alive.

 

 

I don't understand why you continually bring up AJ defending Straw Hats.  Belaboring the point to which you've belabored it reads to me as scummy.  AJ has admitted and defended his actions concerning Straw Hats several times.  You bringing it up is just filler.

 

@bold/underlined - I'm either really misreading or Des screwed up and mixed up the Evil Siblings and Sexy Sisters when casing AJ.  Such a blatant misrep.

 

 

The rest of it is a pretty trashy case without much to go on.  Reads like Des is just flinging mud and hoping it sticks.

What reason would I have to care about if I ping you or not?  Your reads have flipped because I am playing to what I see as the awful play of Ithi/Turin post cop death.  If I die so be it, it may as well contribute to winning.

Ithi/Turin's play hasn't been that strong this game in general, don't get me wrong, and Turin's tunnel and Ithi's tinfoiling today isn't any better... but that still doesn't mean they're scum. Not buying it Darthe.

 

@Leelou: Yeah, that's pretty much my favorite scene in that movie I think :biggrin:

As for suddenly finding me scummy, I find it weird that me questioning you automatically leads to my team being in your top 3 scum.  Also it might just be me, but your phrasing is bothering me.  Dap hasn't been around for what feels like decades, so you referring to us as "Spliffanity" is weird to me.

 

Specifically:

 

"Spliffanity outing themselves with each post"

 

"Spliffanity has had some opportunistic fos's lately and is sideline sniping"

 

 

Call it semantics, but I feel like if you were 100% on Team Spliff being scum you would be saying something like:

 

"We haven't seen any of Dap and Krak is reading as supes scum, so they're totes obvscum."

 

 

 

Basically it reads as super opportunistic on your part.

Lens reaction to the JAG train was weird. Instead of just saying he thought it was too fast he makes sure to say he approved of the train, and then reassures this approval before saying it's too fast.

No matter what cloud always says something to make me think he is mafia. I have a fairly strong town read on his hydra team as a whole though.

Strange that Prals apology post about not being on the thane lynvh talks about slips. The main slip that people brought up was confusing Lily's name with Hallys correct?

Well that one doesn't make sense cos lily flipped town. I must be missing a slip I think.

Ithi posts that she thinks ES were targeted directly, I disagree. Didn't jack say of targeted directly they would kill their killer? Do I'm guessing he tried to protect someone who was targeted.

I think it was AJ that said they might have lied about the kill part. Even if they did they tried to make it obvious who they were targeting. The mafia could of killed that person to kill them rather than risking themselves on jack lying.

Despo makes the point that the mafia wouldn't of killed the body guards if they could of avoided it cos they were an easy lynch.

I kinda agree but I don't think this absolves them. If I was mafia and ended up killing the body guards by accident I'd push hard as hell to make it look like something a wise mafia would never do (wise mafia being what I would be if I was mafia) so therefore I wouldn't be a likely mafia.

It just looks like a good oppurtinity to make lemonade outta lemons

The thing that bugs me most about the above is verbal also shares the identical view as des here.

I would of expected him to atleast entertain other possibilities

Honestly I just like saying Spliffanity. It's a fun word to say, and yeah ... other things lol

 

As far as why I'm suspecting you, it's not just because you suddenly started questioning our alignment. It's the way you did so.

 

Once I saw Jack get Executed and flip Cop, I saw the writing on the wall. I knew scum had played it well so that YOLO would look extra sketchy (not only did I go hard @ J-TAG yesterday, I was around after the claim and expressed doubt and then pressure AJ for his viewing). Hell, if I was one of yall, I instantly would have thought we were scum from that whole thing. Unfortunately, we are still town.

 

Anyways, point is, I think scum knew it wouldn't take much to convince others to vote us tomorrow, so I figured if anything scum would more likely gently nudge and fos us instead of automatically be super suspect of us like I think a natural townie reaction would be.

 

Your behavior recently fits this bill perfectly. You hadn't fos'd YOLO the entire game, but then after something happens which immediately puts us in an unfavorable light, instead of just saying we look like obvscum you're trying to pull up various older posts and events to use them to try and make Verb and I look worse.

 

As I said, scummy AND opportunistic.
