I haven't addressed this yet, because I don't know what to say. I should have explained more, I guess. I didn't like the Jack train one bit, and I chose the one on the train who was getting votes.

Im not seeing why there is a build up on vos. He voted for the same reason as me and des did i believe. Which makes me wonder why Lily is going for vos? Jack's responses haven't been paticularyly convincing either. So putting pressure on him is beneficial.

That doesn't make him scum but it is a scummy thing to do.

You need to always give some sort of reason with a vote if you're a townie so other townies can follow along and either challenge you and your reasoning or perhaps posthumously pick it up and continue pushing where you left off.

 

Saying "Vote X" doesn't do anyone any good but yourself.

Cloud voting for no reason doesnt really appeal to me as a scum tell. people do it all the time as either alignment so its null. I wouldn't mind hearing his own opinions on your follow up post though.

If we called people out for it more often they'd stop doing it and then scum couldn't get away with it.

Vos may have been parroting and sheeping but their only so many ways you can sing a case to make it sound different. Not sure what your expecting.

If he's going to parrot or sheep I would at least appreciate someone quoting the person they're following.

 

The train on vos is interesting to say the least. everyone is going after him for having weak sauce but what exactly are your guys cases for voting him? I wouldnt consider them strong.

So we have two players that refuses to read the other players posts if they are too long. Great 

 

I also haven't seen any unreasonable long WOTs. I (for some reason) get why Jack is saying it, and he at least explains it. Then Lily comes and says "oh, yeah, is that ok? then me too, me too". Doesn't sit well at all. Bad excuse for skimming and getting an easy out of any incoherencies. Town wouldn't be too worried about that. Scum would.

Now, this steps outside the game but I'd like to talk about it anyway.

I'm not someone who minds WOTs 90% of the time but I really understand where the people who do are coming from.

First of all the size of WOTs usually stem from the quoted material which I try to cut out as much as possible to make things easier to read. But then once in awhile you have people saying they're being taken out of context. Which is fine. I'd rather cut things down and take someone out of context once in awhile than just quote EVERYTHING. But anyway back to the point. We're all playing this for fun and sometimes mafia can become a chore but even then it can stay enjoyable. But when it starts giving you headaches and whatnot you start to rethink playing. I've been there and it sucks. You want to play a game not read an essay. I don't think it's an unreasonable position to take. I also think that we have to acknowledge that people here are not all masterful writers and that it's possible to get long winded (I'm sure I've done it myself just now). Some people just want you to get to the point and be concise about it. I'm not saying people should stop doing WOTs but I do think you should try to look at it from the otherside before throwing a vote out. I mean really? Have you SEEN any evidence that Lily isn't following along yet despite what she said? When that happens then maybe I could support a vote on her for it but for now this just looks like a petty personal vote.

You can't prove a negative. That's dumb. The burden is on you to prove other people are scum, not on other people to prove they aren't.

We absolutely need to hear from the two replacements ASAP as well a Player, Chaelca, and Xthrax more.

 

Also Lenlo I know you want to keep the day going as long as possible so you're not voting but I'd like you to do me a favor.

First of all I'd like to know who your top suspect(s) is/are, so your vote doesn't blindside us when it comes.

And secondly I'd like you to vote me and wait until it shows up in a votecount so we can see if it's effective or a doublevote or somesuch.

In all honesty I don't remember you ever holding your vote this long before and that makes me think you have a reason for it.
