I had the priveledge of being on 24-hour call yesterday and working today; so I'm catching up now! ^_^

 

 

The thread title threw me off. I hadn't realized we were in Day 1 til I saw the thread had gained like a million pages already. Looks like a pissing contest already? Tommy is slightly obnoxious, but I saw a preview of that in his secret circle game. I think between his and Turin's post lengths I'm going to go put on my glasses. Town reads on both. Cloud appears to be coming out a little more aggressively, but he's been lynched Day 1 in several recent games, so I'm not sure if that's a meta change or just an effort to survive Day 1, something Blackhoof seems to not be doing at all. Leaning scum on Cloud. I'm getting a townie vibe from Leelou, always Null on Peace at this point, I admit to have a hard time reading him. Nothing else as far as early reads go. I'll be around tomorrow night most likely, but probably not for the rest of the day. Merry Christmas to everyone who celebrates, or whatever your end of the year holiday happens to be.

 

H'ok, 11 pages in and I agree with the first part of Gend (GoldeneyesND MUAAHAHAHA) regarding the pissing contest, and Tommy, and Turin. I actually disagree regarding Cloud. While still active, he doesn't seem as aggravated as he tends to be in lots of games, which gets him lynched early. But it's still Christmas Eve as far as I've read. Going back in.

 

It's a good thing I told the mod I wouldn't be active until today. I wasn't posting because I only had a few minutes to devote here and there until this afternoon. Now that I'm no longer on call, I can actually get into the game. I think I mentioned it earlier, so yes, lazy votes on me are lazy.

I find it a bit of a stretch that with everything else that has been going on in the game that the first most scummy thing you found to vote for was that Hallia, a known serial lurker, had not posted much. Hell she has been a confirmed townie and lurked all game. That to me would be like finding Despo writing a Wall of Text with infinite multi quoting and spoiler tags scummy just for the long windedness.

There wasn't much of a 'coming back' considering it started at Christmas? Everyone was busy o.O And I was working on Christmas, as I said So now I'm here.

 

 

 

None of that is remotely scummy though. Personally, I don't blame you for not being able to read it yourself, but you can't expect people to do it for you. You find the time, wait until you have the time, or post uninformed.

I don't like this post. Why would Hallia be scum if Nolder flips town? It sounds like you are trying to set up lynches.

Because if he's town, then a few probable townies now have a scum read on Hallia: Leelou, Nolder, myself. The wagon on Nolder went a little too smoothly, IMO. BFG (confirmed town) started it, another probable townie (Elf) got on, and then some grays/scum leans piled on it. Hallie, Hoof... Golden being on the end of that wagon seals the deal in my mind that Nolder is town (assuming Golden is mafia, which his low activity, weird interaction with Via, and behavior just now leads me to believe). Interactions-based reads can change a lot based on new info.

 

I'm also uncomfortable with it because high scum suspects (Krak, Turin) aren't on the wagon.

That's pretty inexcusable since she's showing that she's still aware of the game and hasn't forgotten about it. If Peace/Turin end up cocky/lazy masons and not mafia, I'd turn attention here, especially the Hally/Theo/Hoof trio as they've been chummy for no apparent reason.

Hallia’s return to the game in #386 pinged me because the sole thing she finds to comment on is Goldeneye’s one-off post from a while back? She says she agrees with Golden about Tommy and Turin being town and thinks Cloud is town. This post from Hallia is one of those I see a lot with mafia talking to mafia and trying to distance from each other by having different reads (like on Cloud). Bad post. Disappears for a while again and mentions an excuse for being gone… not a great re-entrance. Defends Turin with the most forced post I’ve seen in a while, #446. Calls out Peace’s “not a debate club” comment, that actually makes me feel better about Peace being town since I’m starting to lean scum on Hallia.

 

It seemed like a good post. I still have town reads on you and Cloud.

 

After Golden flipped mafia, I have to reconsider the timing of her vote on Golden in #496. She put a vote on Golden when he had 3 votes on him (Peace, Thea, Via), making Hallia the fourth in #496. This is good… except she jumped ship. If Via and Hallia are scum with Golden, this makes sense; it’s an early bus on their teammate to gain town cred before the lynch is pushed onto a townie (which often happens on D1). Let’s explore this idea. When Turin votes for Krak, Hallia agrees Krak is scummy. When Nolder asks Hallia for clarification, Hallia says don’t be lazy, says Nolder had 10 minutes to find her post, and then immediately votes for Nolder. That’s enough to make the jump from Golden (her only scumread up to this point) to Nolder? I don’t think she talked about Nolder much before that, if at all? Nor has she talked about Krak.

 

Yes, because my dear mentor reminded me I should always be willing to dig things out as town. I've got nothing to hide.

 

Oddly, Golden says in #535 that he doesn’t like the case on Hally, even though her vote was just on him. This is a pretty big ping and enforces the fakely antagonistic Golden-Hallia connection. If Golden was scum and Hallia was town, why would he be defending her when there’s a wagon developing on her? It's an ideal mislynch opportunity. The wagon at the time on Hallia was: Nolder, Leelou, Tommy. Yet Golden doesn't try to jump on. That's massive.

 

It was more that Golden wasn't really responding at all if I remember correctly.

 

Hallia then has her mentor speak through her in an attempt to defend herself… the defense from her mentor to Leelou’s vote on Hallia and my commentary on her opening is bizarre. When she comes back in #576, her question to Nolder (the person her vote is on) isn’t really about the game, but is about a hypothetical scenario involving drawing the night kill? You don’t have a better question than that for your new highest scum suspect? They have a short back and forth and Hallia says she’s feeling better about Nolder. Alright. Back to Golden then? No..

 

Hallia then asks Cloud why he wants to lynch Krak. This is the second time she’s seen a likely townie (Turin, now Cloud) put suspicion on Krak without her discussing Krak herself. Cloud gives his reasoning, and Hallia immediately votes for Krak in #597. What happened to Golden? As if knowing she'd be called out on it, she self consciously acknowledges she hasn’t been putting her thoughts in the thread in #599.

 

My mind was changed by Nolder, so I unvoted him, Cloud made a good point vs. Krak and so there was no harm in seeing if some other person could be voted for. I was here for the deadline, along with several other people.

 

At this point the wagons are:

Nolder - 5 - BFG, Elf, Hoof, Leelou, Golden

Krak - 2 - Cloud, Hally

 

Now she’s quiet, only commenting on how she isn’t on the Nolder wagon anymore after I explained why I was uncomfortable with it. In #655 she says Golden is still on her scum list – good. But why isn’t she voting for him? She has been talking about him for half the game. Now that a wagon is building on him, she’s waiting for him to respond? Okay, fine. She makes the “intention to hammer” post in #664. But if he’s been a big scum lean for her, why not just hammer it now? Is Golden really gonna change her mind entirely in 30 minutes? We know she’s still around as she keeps posting. Elf hammers him.

 

Because I felt it was owed, as it is to anyone?

 

If I read these events in a vacuum, I see obvious scum. If was a day vig I'd just shoot her right now. I want more people to weigh in on this.

A few things on recent stuffage.

 

Nolder introduces set up talk. Not only that he goes into a long explanation on various possibilities and only names me as a possible "3rd party." 2 things wrong with this. Setup talk is a distraction. Classic DM scum move that was perfected in the "GOT" game. 2nd, naming only 1 person as possibility makes it look like he was trying very hard to come up with a way to make someone (me) who others have expressed a town feel for look bad.

 

On Hally, even her most recent post above mine addresses nothing game related. She's posted, but not really taken a stand on anything. More like cheered from the sidelines.

 

Nolder and Hally are my 2 biggest suspects atm. I'm good with either of them dead.

Well, the only confirmed mafia at the moment is golden, who was indeed voting Nolder. Chances are, other scum were voting Nolder as well. The problem for them is that there aren't many of them, and they do not want to give away too much by simply voting for someonw other than a teammate.

 

It is mainly the speed at which Nolder's train built, not necessarily that he was competing with Golden so closely.

 

So you thinking then that as the deadline got closer and it looked like GE was going down instead of Nolder there was some bussing? Elf's hammer was super scummy to me, and also their admitted skimming.

Maybe it's more of a null to scum tell. I mean sure, everyone does it from time to time, especially when two people spend 3-4 pages in an argument over a technicality, but I think using it as a reason to not post anything (while posting that you're skimming) is kinda scummy. The thread title threw me off. I hadn't realized we were in Day 1 til I saw the thread had gained like a million pages already. Looks like a pissing contest already? Tommy is slightly obnoxious, but I saw a preview of that in his secret circle game. I think between his and Turin's post lengths I'm going to go put on my glasses. Town reads on both. Cloud appears to be coming out a little more aggressively, but he's been lynched Day 1 in several recent games, so I'm not sure if that's a meta change or just an effort to survive Day 1, something Blackhoof seems to not be doing at all. Leaning scum on Cloud. I'm getting a townie vibe from Leelou, always Null on Peace at this point, I admit to have a hard time reading him. Nothing else as far as early reads go. I'll be around tomorrow night most likely, but probably not for the rest of the day. Merry Christmas to everyone who celebrates, or whatever your end of the year holiday happens to be.

H'ok, 11 pages in and I agree with the first part of Gend (GoldeneyesND MUAAHAHAHA) regarding the pissing contest, and Tommy, and Turin. I actually disagree regarding Cloud. While still active, he doesn't seem as aggravated as he tends to be in lots of games, which gets him lynched early. But it's still Christmas Eve as far as I've read. Going back in.

It's a good thing I told the mod I wouldn't be active until today. I wasn't posting because I only had a few minutes to devote here and there until this afternoon. Now that I'm no longer on call, I can actually get into the game. I think I mentioned it earlier, so yes, lazy votes on me are lazy.

My thoughts on Hallia:

 

I think she hasn't commented on some of the bigger conversations we've had in the game. Instead, skirts around it by saying that she doesn't give her thoughts and is working on that. Could be the case with either alignment, but we can't get a read on you either way if you don't contribute to things.

 

More telling though, is that she semi-contradicts herself when it comes to why she responded only to Golden's post when she was at 11 pages in. She also vote for Golden because "he could be scum trying to rile people up". Meh. Not crazy about her reasoning. She later unvotes him to OMGUS vote Nolder, and then votes again following Cloud onto Krak just a few hours before deadline.

 

I don't like the quotes from Yates in game, personally, since he's not playing - she is. But this could just be a difference in playstyle.

 

Then she argues that she had unvoted Nolder. I don't think that was the point Tommy was trying to make when he was analyzing trains. She makes a point of this.

 

Biggest issues for me:

 

-"intention to hammer Golden" but decides to wait to see if he shows up when it's pretty close to DL (for DM). Could be town trying to give someone an opportunity, but we KNOW Golden was mafia, so it looks more like a teammate trying to stall.

 

-Argues with peace that she DID indeed vote Golden. Yes, but that was earlier in the day and when it came down to it, you weren't on his lynch.

 

-She is okay with Elf hammering when it happened, but then votes Elf today by saying the hammer was scummy.
