Cool. I like Dap too.

What is that now? AJ; Dap, Des, Krak for town, Len (less so since the claim) and potentially Leelou for mafia? Feels like a good list to me.

What about Verb?

I agree on Darthe btw. Too much buddying. Just don't feel right.

I don't like Verb's play either.

Now what I do find weird is how neither Verb nor Darthe is voting... not anyone, not one another. Why?

Really?  Wanna check that last vote count again and get back to me?

Verb, please explain me how it is harder to get an absolute majority in this particular game than in other games?

I'm reading that as 'unanimous'.  Perhaps I'm wrong.

Right, sorry. You're voting Cloud.

I'm not a D1 player

Wich I'm working at changing, I hope people have noticed that lately! But I'm struggling with separating this thread from the Walking Dead (and I see I'm not the only one *pokes Des*) and so I've given the other one more of my attention to get the proper feel for one at a time.

I agree with you about Verb though. He keeps switching his reason for why he thinks Cloud is scummy (first it was "you are too serious for this early in the game" and then it was "for chastising AJ for being so serious early"). And he doesn't say much about anyone else.

I will also

##Vote Verb

No.  I voted him for chastising AJ for being supa srs.  So yeah, maybe that extends a bit to Cloud being supa srs, but now you're talking semantics.  I didn't like the exchange - I am jumping on Cloud for it.

Ok, so Verb voted Cloud for chastising AJ for being serious. Here's Verb's original vote, and let's look at how his story changes:

No, it doesn't tell me anything about your allignment at all.

Good. So what impression does it give you from Darthe then?

It give me the impression that he is just fooling around. I however wanted to know how serious his read on Krak was.

Cloud is scum.  Serious read maybe 4 posts into the game for him?  Too easy.

##Vote: Cloud

Cloud wants to know how serious DARTHE's read on Krak was... He was answering a question from AJ. But Verb says Cloud was having a serious read.

Y'all be imitatin'.

Cloud is still scum. Going for town cred.

'C'mon gaiz, I'm tryin' to play teh mafia!'

Follow me and watch my hashtagswag work it's magic.

#yoloswag

So you are saying that I'm going for town cred by actually playing the game? Brilliant.

No, you're going for town cred by being SO SRS so early.

I think I might just go complete meme for this game, hehe.

I know, I know.  Such awesome.  Many thanks.  So amaze.

Verb then says  that Cloud was going for town cred for being SO SRS.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Cloud's only use of the word 'serious' was when directly questioning Andrej's firm stance on Tina and Rag after what basically amounted to two check-in posts.  Also, Cloud has got nothing on Andrej so far as far as being SO SRS so early.  Why aren't you addressing Andrej instead?

Cloud was jumping on AJ for being SO SRS.  Looks too easy.  So I jump on Cloud instead.

And now the story is that Cloud jumped on AJ for being serious...

So Verb first completly misrepresents the situation, and then his story keeps changing.

Scum.

Hahaha - he was talking about Darthe via AJ.  Heh, good point on that one.

My story doesn't change, though.  He's pushing the serious angle too early. Wanting to know how serious the vote on Krak was.  It looked pretty obvious to me that it couldn't possibly be that serious.

So you can continue your semantic argument all you want.  I had one name wrong - I was saying he pushed AJ, but that isn't accurate.  Although as you quoted above, he did speak about it regarding Tina & Rag (via Krak's quote above), so really it all boils down to the same story:  SO SRS too early.

Any other questions, or would you like to continue a semantic argument?

Note to self:  spamming too much in the early game makes you misrep certain details that while not having a bearing on the overall point, will get folks to question it.

I blame Leelou.

I blame you. If we are lynching Verb, I want to hammer him.

Ok, read the entire thread.

This post by Cloud stood out for me during the read. Too aggressive during the "joke vote" phase, especially for Cloud.

Getting on to the AJ train was convenient at best.

My D1 reaxs are gold Cloud. You should know after that game where I took out WBK and Des on a single post.

I haven't played in that game dude. I guess we shall see how golden your reads are in this game though.

About the Lenlo thing:

I didn't see Lenlo's post about wanting to beat a Champion as a scum slip. You can also beat someone by outplaying that person, so it doesn't say anything about a persons alignment imo. I also don't expect Lenlo to make that kind of slip, so I will just take it as him being a smartass. His VT claim is a bit too early for my liking, but everyone has a different take on that.

Will give more detailed thoughts later on, but does anyone else get the feeling Darthe is trying to abuse his meta here? Going all out with the ego trip, making a show out of putting out town reads far too early... I got a bad feeling about him.

Yeah I get the same feeling from Darthe. I see him give these kind of reads all the time, but right now it reads a bit more forced than usual, especially because he came out so soon with a town read on AJ who is my best bet for scum right now.

4 mafia based on that? I've got Tina and Rag pegged for two.

Why in the world would you have Rag pegged? He literally just checked in 22 minutes before you "pegged" him. Here, I'll quote it for you:

Here, checking in, had a long day, will come back through tomorrow with detailed thoughts.

Want to explain why you have him pegged?

Sure. It's pretty simple, really. I'll give you the summary. He checks in, says he'll read later and then bounces. Doesn't comment on anything thus far just makes sure he has a post on thread so people couldn't say that he was inactive. I am disregarding the reason provided because RL is null in these games. Anything said on thread is game content, period.

There are 3 options...

1. Just stupid town

2. Over zealous townie trying to get a 'Champion'(I use ' ' for a reason)

3. Scum trying to look active

Those are the only possible reasons for what he just said. With that...night night...will go over tomorrow.

1. What exactly constitutes stupid Town? Uninformed? That's the gist of the game. I only know my alignment and have to differentiate amongst the other players.

2. Nobody cares about your 'Champion' game.

3. Ironic considering that was my train of thought when it came to you.

So out of those 3 which do you think is more likely?

Since when do you have to give your reads in your check in post? Pral didn't say anything about the game when he just checked in, so by your logic he must also be scum who is trying to look active, right? Ragnarok called you out on maybe making a stupid move, and then you turn it around by saying that a stupid townie equals an uninformed one which is the case for a townie. This is wrong because one can be informed, and yet not think enough through every scenario. This differentiates the good scumhunters from the bad ones. Anyway, your serious votes on both Rags and Tina for their check in posts, and then calling Despo’s vote on you weak are reason enough for me to vote for you.

No, it doesn't tell me anything about your allignment at all.

Cloud is scum. Serious read maybe 4 posts into the game for him? Too easy.

##Vote: Cloud

Where did I say that Darthe must have a serious town read on Krak that was based on more than just the usual stuff Darthe likes to say? I didn’t take Darthe’s town read on Krak serious after seeing him call AJ town after only one not game related post, and so I choose to confront him on it.

It wasnt a vote on Krak Verb, it was a town read from Darthe.

Holy crap the semantics are strong with you.  Enjoy your heat tomorrow.  ;-)

My message never changed:  the 'serious too early' is not something made up - a lot of players do this.

I'm the Deputy.  If the Cop dies, I'll get to start viewing (I won't get past views, though).

Good luck.

Also, @Mish:  my suspicion on Cloud has morphed from the original incarnation - he, along with others, are voting AJ.  I made it clear that I didn't like that train and how it built.

Don't dial in on 1 aspect of an evolving situation - it makes you look scum.  Or lazy.

You just keep changing your story... I wanted to know how serious Darthe's town read on Krak was, which as I already explained I found very unlikely. You voted for me for being so serious, and later you said that you voted for me because I found AJ's votes on Krak and Tina too serious which isn't true at all. It isn't a semantic argument at all.

And you say that 15 minutes before deadline?

Very believable.

I don't care what you think is believable.  I don't know if Deputy would be in my coroner, so I wanted it out there before I died.  You really think the votes will pull off me?

This is lazy play by town.  Lazy.

I voted you for everything I've said thus far today.

I got the initial detail wrong, which has spiraled from there, sadly.  Mostly my fault.  Burnt out on mafia, methinks.
