Shaman healing. So my Shaman is a level 63 now and wow is healing cake. I throw on Earth Shield and watch TV until I have to renew it. Seriously I rarely have to throw out another heal unless the tank pulls badly.

Pally Tanking - 73 now and I have gotten used to the new tanking. I only have to worry about dps attacking things I am not and then I usually let them die to teach them the lesson.

Priest Heals - Wow am I ever tempted to spec disc for Chankra + Holy Word Sanctuary. It is just so pretty. Holy healing is cake so far.

DK - I love what I see from Blood tanks but still afraid to try it myself. I need to read up on it a bit more. Unholy DPS seems the same as before as I seem to be putting out the same amout of damage. I may just need to update my rotation to take advantage of changes.

Just joining this discussion as well, and maybe I ca even make it onto the list of players from this site.

On the EU server Silvermoon I play on the following toons:

Grognir (80 Pala, Tank/Healer)

Chazig (80 Rouge, Combat)

Amagerbanken (80 Priest, Shadow/disc)

Alviarin (80 Warlock, Destro)

Mesaana (80 DK Tank/UH)

Chafaile (80 Shaman, Resto/Ele)

Elyane (78 Mage, Arcane)

Ismael (77 Druid, Balance)

Caemlyn (70 Hunter, Marksman)

Haraldblåtand (63 Warrior, Arms)

Since the patch i have spent most of my time setting up all my toons, so I have not been running many instances, and raiding have been put on hold until addons are running again. As my paladin is my main, i started setting him up straight after patching, and got quite a kick in the guts during my first instance as i couldn't keep aggro on trash and bosses alike. It can be said to my defense that on the last boss of Gundrak, i never managed to get full rotation before he died, so they must have been pumping out some dps, and the next couple of instances proved that i could still hold aggro with a normal group.

Going through the rest of them, the biggest change was absolutely on my shammy, where the dps spec had changed my output from around 2,5k to 5k when soloing a boss-dummy, and going on a trip with the guildies showed me going from mediocre to top dps

Might write more or try to answer questions, as that seems to be my purpose in the game since my wife and kids are taking to much time for full time raiding.

BTW my new pally tank rotation...

AS - HOTR (mobs)/ CS(solo) - That Holy Spell that attacks everyone around me (Obviously I forget the name, wait Holy Wrath?) - Judge - SOTR - AS - HOTR, etc... I sprinkle in a concecrate here and there depending on how fast the dps are killing mobs

Basically I HOTR every 3 seconds and AS when it cools down. I use the SOTR to pull up my holy shield.

It is taking me some time to get used to Kings and MOTW canceling each other out.

I haven't touched my druid yet. I heard tree form is basically gone.

Yep. Lots of Resto Druids are upset about it. One of the top healers in my guild is probably going Boomkin.

I'm looking forward to seeing how my Resto Shammy heals now, but I've just been bogged down with RL crap. I'm hoping to get in game tonight and set some stuff up.

Emp, we might be able to raid on Wed, if you're good. Hit me up on the FB thread.

I would love to get together a SG raid this Friday to take on Naxx. It seems easy enough to tackle even with low gs players. If Az and I heal, and Canuk tanks, we should be good. Or if Verbal can make it and heal I can dps. With FDM out of the picture (temporary) though, I am not sure we can get enough to go the distance.

Verbal I will check the thread when I have a moment (can't do it from my work computer). I have seen no new messages come into my email about it though (routed from facebook). Of course I am in for a raid though.

Spoke with Varju last night. I logged in to reset my addons and stuff. I still need to set up action bars and respec/reglyph, but that's about it.

Prob no raid tomorrow. Varju is going to try out ICC with his new guild (he left the Dragons) - he's trying to get me to come over to that guild, and I'm trying to get him back to the Dragons, lol.

Either way, he's probably MIA from our group this week. I'll spend Wednesday getting caught up and I should be around Friday night if you guys wanna hit up Naxx.

Depending on what Varju wants to do, I might end up leaving the Dragons and coming back to Shayol Ghul. Or I might try and get you guys to come join the Dragons (if Varju comes back) ;-)

Ok Naxx run...

Canuk - Tank

Emp - Heal/DPS with Barbs or Tank with Fluffy (3900 GS though)

Verbal - Heals

Az - Heals

Cat - DPS

Elf - DPS

Thats 6.. and doable... but at least another two would be great. Maybe Claire? Any other options?

3900 is fine for Naxx, imo. It's not my group, but Naxx was made to be run in heroic blues and crafted purples, ilevel 200 tops. /shrug. As a main tank the primary issue would be holding aggro off your better geared folks. :D Reminds me of getting dragged along to Ulduar for a trial run a while back; all my dpsers were in full ToCr/TOGC gear and I was in 213-219 with a couple of 232s. That was a wee bit frustrating...

got a look at Twilight Highlands last night. The horde intro for that is pretty epic. I wish Cata would hurry up and get here!

I agree, 3900 is fine if you have a full 10. We will be lucky to run with 6. We need more guild memebers is all. That and Cat is a fresh 80 with a 3K gs and Elf is mid 3Ks.

ICC10 full pug made it up to Sindragosa. I feel accomplished because my ICC10 progression group hasn't made it past Putricide yet. We did hardmode lootship instead of regular and it went well. No loot dropped that i could have used though.

sadly the ICC10 is continuing thursday at 9pm server. that's 7pm my time and i'll be out of town with Az getting my overdue b-day present.

i'm sitting at 5690gs for bear spec

i don't know if it was just me but the bosses up to saphirosa were like cake fights. the problem we were having on saph were getting a handle on the ice blocks in phase 2. evidently making it to phase 2 on the first attempt in a total pug is a good thing. but now i know the fights up to saph. need to practice the iceblock placements is all.

I would love to get the Champion of Frozen Waste title. I just need to first two bosses to get this. Maybe we can tackle this Friday as well. With Az out it looks less likely though.

How big is Redemption Verbal? Has Vaj ever though of making a new guild?

the higher dps is a help in that you don't have to deal with problematic raid mechanics for as long. Doesn't really help the issue of people standing in the right place or moving as soon as where they are standing is the wrong place, though.

I have some dear friends I've been trying to help kill the Lich King for a couple of months now. I just wish I didn't keep having to harp on the need to react faster. Waiting 3 seconds to move on Necrotic Plague or Defile = death.

I REALLY hate that fight

Pretty big (that's what she said). But not much bigger than The Dragons, so really a wash. It's just the timing is better, as Redemption raids around 9pm server, which works better for Varju (and myself).

Actually, Varju and I were talking about that very recently, like a few days ago. We were thinking of taking the Rebel Alliance (where some of the Dragons have alts) and growing it with Varju and I sharing raid lead duties (like me doing loot and leading healers, while he leads tanks and overall fight mechanics). We are unsure, as it seems a lot of work and we would be struggling to form a solid 10-man core due to some of the Dragons wanting to raid with Dragons and not other guilds. With new guild level stuff in place, there will be a emphasis I think on ensuring most raiders are within the same guild in order to get credit. Not sure on details - that's just what I read somewhere.

Really though, Varju and I agree that the Dragons aren't really providing us with much support for our runs - maybe 2-3 people (sometimes) for a 10-man. None of them are always available, and the guild already has a core 10-man that downed LK. And the 25-man raids are usually too early for us. That's what got us pondering the idea of expanding the Rebel Alliance. Dunno.

What do you think? I'd love to see us all in Shayol Ghul, actually, but I don't reasonably see that happening for a while due to people not having the gear to effectively raid ICC yet. You and Canuk do, but Cat, Elf, and others do not....yet. So it's a process to get everybody together to gear them up. And we still aren't at 10 people yet, so what about the handful we have that are already geared enough? A quandary for sure, and we have no clue how to proceed. Thoughts?

we could move into redemption, stay there for a while then kidnap their best and brainwash them to be loyal Shayol Ghulers.

i think maybe me and emp should join a solid raiding guild until cata. then return to SG and we can do 5mans as a guild to earn guild rep and guild xp. if we're partied up to quest, dungeon, battleground we'll be working towards guild perks.

there are guild perks that go with guild level and there are guild rewards that are tied to specific guild achievements.

when cata comes out i'm going to be questing to 85 and doing the dungeons as my quests take me to them.

I am more inclined to move to a guild where I am needed than moving to one where I am a second tier player. Cat and Elf will get there... and I am pretty sure Aust and FDM will be back with Cata. Again if Xex, FDM, Cat, Elf, Aust, Silver, Claire, Az, Verb and I were all on at the same time we have 10 but I don't see that happening. I would also like to have a secondary group that raided earlier than 10pm every night (or at least 10 pm on Friday or Sat nights). I go to work at 7am so doing that more than once a week is taxing.

Idealy I would like SG to grow and grab a handful of 80s so we have a solid 10 man group. I don't mind giving over guild leadership to someone that can recruit.

My second choice would be to move to a new guild that is lead by either Varj or yourself and is a bit smaller, but big enough to support a steady 10 man with possible 25 man raids. Again I am not moving to a guild where I am a second tier player.

I can appreciate that....and I agree.

What about the Dragons, Emp? If Varju and I are successful in making a 2nd core 10-man raid group (the Dragons already have one, but our GM is excited about us forming another), would you being willing to join the Dragons? I can assure you that you'd be both a core raider and a valued member -- not 2nd tier. You and I would be primary healers. Outside of tanking it doesn't get much more needed than that!
