Yeah..I'm gonna go ahead and VOTE BASEL.    This dictating game play tactic along with mock indignation is a pretty common mafia play.  He's trying to stir emotions and take logic out of the game with this type of move.

If he admitted the vote was for no reason, or if he gave a reason, I would have let the issue drop in a civilized manner. He has done nothing of the sort. He has dodged the point repeatedly and Peace has called him out on this as well. Not only is this blatantly evasive, but it's just plain bad manners to ignore a question that is directly asked of you.

No you are more of the distancer. You were againnst basel but then moved to hybrid when basel was looking more and more scummy.

Now youve gone back to basel when i mentioned you both together as my mafia picks

I don't get what you are getting at.  I hadn't voted anyone til I voted Basel.  It's not like my votes have been jumping back and forth.  Your whole conversation here is looking like an attempt to make someone look bad without committing to it.

 

Next time you wish to accuse me of something...please back it up with quotes and reasonings.  Otherwise, I'll have to assume you are up to no good.

You act as though it's required that I think either Hybrid or Basel is scum and not both of them.   You have proven nothing.  Nor have you even come close to strong reasoning.

 

 

Also, I'm pretty sure I'm 20 years your senior so your "kid" comment is rings like you are trying get my ire up.  Why would you make a comment like that?

How about you quote this in context to Basels post that led to this statement?  Context is everything in this game.  Why omit it?

I was starting to get a look at what?  This makes no sense.  Regardless, I expressed my suspicions of both Basel and Hybrid earlier.  This should come as no surprise to you.

I made one comment previously that Hybrid was the scummier of the two...then more stuff happened.  Why would you ignore this?  Must I stick to one player and one only?  Are you really encouraging tunneling?  Again, you try and remove context.

Actually, you are wrong.  I've stated clearly that I have suspicions on both of them.  Just because you are stating I haven't does not make it true.  What is your angle here?

Son, learn to read, learn context and learn to respect your elders.    See what I did there?  Condescending comments do not reflect well on you.  I understand you are trying to come across as glib and non-chalant with an uncaring attitude but it is showing you as opportunistic and manipulative.

And just how did I look fake? Voting without making a case is the hallmark of lazy, half-assed play, and it tells me that someone isn't fully committed to the game. I asked Hybrid the reasons behind his vote, and he made a point of refusing to give them. I'd have done the exact same thing whether it was me or anyone else he was voting for. It doesn't change the point I was making, you move to hybrid.

 

 

Next the "look at". It's a turn of phrase. A substitute term would be scrutinise. I was turning my attention to your posts. That's what I meant

 

 

Next you say I try to remove the context, that's what the arrows are for, people to go back and look for themselves, I was only quoting you. Either way that's how I saw it

The tunnelling part, I'm just saying that read it as if you and Basel are on a team and it makes a heap more sense than if you are on different teams or town.

 

And as for finding them both suspicious. All you said about hybrid was that he was less concerning than Basel. That's one hell of a broad statement if that's your way of saying you find him scummy, so yea you seemed suddenly more suspicious is yu prefer.

In my blue response I should have stated Hybrids post...not Basel's. 

 

In that moment I saw Hybrid latching on to my reasons for Basel looking scummy as suspicious sense he voted Basel providing no reason and then used one I provided to re-affirm his vote.  Which was an indication to me that he really didn't have a reason to vote Basel to begin with.  That is scummy to me.  (The latching on part at least.)

 

Basel is playing the "dictate how others should play role."  Which means he can go off on this tangent for ever while looking like he is adding content to the game without really doing so.  It's a mafia tactic.  Ups your post count...makes people think you are contributing yet..you really aren't saying anything that you can be held to later in the game.  It is not pro-town play.  In fact, from my perspective it is a strong scum move.

 

I am also thinking that there maybe be some strong distancing going on here that could be getting out of hand for them.  Hybrids early vote without reason could be seen as a set up for a confrontation between two scum partners.  The reason I think of this is I haven't seen Basel act in this manner before.   They could have tried to get some early distancing in and hoped that someone else would step up as a better lynch target.  Thus, giving them late game cred when one flips scum and the also getting a town lynch day 1. 

 

That's not a strong theory, and I'm not holding on to it for dear life..but it is a thought that went through my head.

 

I'll be happy with lynching either of the two.
