Ok finally caught up, and finished my history outline.  I agree with somethings RTE, but I generally find Day 1 extremely useful.  Although there are a lot of active lynches on day 1 (lynches of the most active people, which is why a lot of times we see post decreases) the information we get from that is great, and it usually carries onto finding scum the following days.  Day 1 itself isn't that great, but it starts the greatness if that makes any sense.

 

I always see Turin as scummy, so I am going to hold off on him for now.  I think he always sees me as scummy too.  Not sure, but I think he does.

I have read it. I don't recall Tiink pointing fingers at anyone else but Mish after she declared she would be gone. Turin cased Rand, along with many other players. And even if he did mean Tiink instead of Turin it wasn't much help anyway for town, no real substance. And still, his 'joke' vote stands. I realize that the case against Tiink is a beat up horse at this point but if he 'caught up' as he said that he did then he should have some input. At least something to say as to why he would or wouldn't add his vote.

He says he will hold off which.makes me think its Tiink he is talking about. I believe he is still voting time? I cant check that but im pretty sure thats who hes voting

as for it being a mistake, if it was thats called a freudian slip, those can be telling.

Still i also think his lack of voting explanation is odd

Firstly, I genuinely thank you all for your responses to my Day 1 post. It has given me a lot of thought on day 1 activity. I will bear this in mind for future games and I agree with most of what has been said after all. I just need to approach Day 1 differently. I think in the past I over-posted and it hurt me so it's just about doing it right I guess... etc etc. For what it is worth I do typically post at least once in every phase, so I don't think I'm total lurker material.

 

Now, on to this beauty:

Ha ha ha. Wow. This is a sign I need to pick up my play quite a bit this game. So if you see my casing post you see that I quite literally say I forgot Lenlo was in this game. Well, what i had done was go through peace's post listing everyone's post count, and while I remembered Darthe was modding, I forgot Lenlo was. That was an embarrassing  mistake, but a mistake it was. Sorry! (That being said, I will blame it on a full day without a VC!   Come on Mods, not helping here!)

@Turin - My comments on Mish were a bit short sighted in that I saw she had made some casings a few posts back as I was compiling my casing. I will need to take a closer look, I know she's pinged a few people. Let's see what day 2 has in store.

One post a phase is tge bare minimum. It should be a dam good content post if you are only doing that

 

now len. I accept it could be a mmistake but its very likely a mafia trying to stir up trouble over the inactives (pulled from the post count). It sjows yhat you werent paying much heed to who you tried to call out as long as they werent on your team

Oh I agree. And if I do only one post I do try to do a fair bit of scum hunting in it. I meant I never totally go hide in the shadows.

 

I am not playing the "go after the inactives" card. I am saying watch them, because they can slip by. But I'm not head hunting here. Easier to go with what we know than what we don't, with the ultimate goal of getting everyone active so that we always have something to work with. Who did I call out?

PS It's worth noting that if I was Mafia I wouldn't have decided to post and draw attention to myself after a lynch has just about been secured. I wouldn't have had to do all this. Could have made a sweet little scum hunting/content post, not draw too much attention to myself, and wait for the inevitable. So, no. I'm not mafia.

Thats what your post was. You needed to look more into the game, hence your post (lines of which im retty sure are tiink quotes)

I think I was very judicial in my scum hunting and kept an open mind about most people. I need to be more into the game period, don't see how I just need to "look" it. I did make a mistake. I think I've shown it was genuine based on my initial post. Mistakes make people look dumb or sloppy. It doesn't make them Mafia.

 

If mistakes meant Mafia, Rand should be lynched in every game Love you Rand.

You are right. It doesn't make them mafia, not all the time anyway. But sloppy mistakes are born of the things that mafia do more than town, like skimming and going after inactives etc...

Another thing that stands out to me is your mention of Mish. You called her town initially, then state you need to go back and reevaluate her after Turin asked how you got your town read from her limited posts. Dap might have something here with his suspicion of you and Tiink being teammates. He was also the only other player to mention her as being scummy.
