Milburn's eye began to twitch under his monocle making him very uncomfortable but he hardly noticed. All he could see was his empire crumbling beneath his feet. One by one his loyal barons had deserted his cause, focusing instead on personal gain. Even the ritzy side of town, between Park Place and the Boardwalk, had sold out to the townsfolk. The light coming through the windows grew dim as the auctioneer announced the final piece of property to be auctioned off. Mr. Monopoly jumped out of his seat knowing this was his only chance to come out ahead. "One million dollars!" he shouted, waving his cane dramatically. The crowd stared in awe at the figure.
